I had 50k saved up then decided to blow it all on upgrading my GT-R. No regrets. Maxed out acceleration. Worth it.

Cool, I'm still on vacation here too so I've really dug into this game (still only on season 2 and d/c cars tho).

I was joking about the IAP, buying 3 virtual cars in game for a 100 bucks would be insane. It's like paying for air, and I don't mean air time in the game.

Okay, I've decided that I want to buy D and C car packs, but I want to do it beginning everything from scratch. Can anyone tell me how to reset my profile/progress? I can't find how to do it. EDIT: If I delete A8 from GC, will the progress reset?

Yup. Once you reinstall it'll ask you which save file you want then pick the one that has been wiped clean.

I think I made some bad decisions on car purchases as well. On Season 4 with quite a few events unplayable (as well as a few in Season 3) with only around $5,000 in cash.

I also used to not mind the drift gate events but now am finding even getting three stars (two of them being the optional ones) much more difficult.

You know what would really have been nice in this game? The ability to sell cars. That way you could at least recoup some of the costs of earlier purchases to get a car you need for the next set of races.

The problem is I don't want to reinstall the game, just delete my progress. I deleted from GC but it didn't work. There must be a local copy of the savegame... GL_Ryan (or anyone): Any way to delete progress without deleting the game? Thanks

If you as really intent on it you can most likely jailbreak your device and use iFile, or you could probably use iExplorer or something like that.

Thanks for the tip. I don't want to JB, and I don't have a PC handy atm to delete the "documents" folder with iExplorer. I guess I'll have to delete and reinstall...

Pretty sure the only way to restart your progress is going to be to do the uninstall/reinstall process and then choose a clean save state. Other than that, there is a "Restore My Purchases" option, but I'll have to ask if that applies to real money purchases or credit purchases.

When you reinstall (delete/reinstall is the only way), be sure and select the local save on the device because on a clean reinstall it has no progress.
If you select the cloud one, it'll obviously restore your progress.
And when you select the local save, that should upload you're no progress save to the cloud also so it'll overwrite the gamecenter progress as well.

Good luck with it. Let us know how you get on.

Edit, just noticed you're deleted from gamecenter post. That happened because even if you delete from gamecenter (and gamecenter only), it keeps a backup itself for a period of time (cant remember how long at the moment) so that method won't always work which is why delete and reinstall and uploading local data is the only effective way.

Yeah that'd be useful. Originally in A7 you had one car in each of the 7 classes, so one could progress far without having to buy a new car. In this one you only start out with one. That must be it. I plan to prepare myself for the grind and find a course I can beat the fastest whilst still giving me 1.5-2.5k in cash. Then I'll get EVERYTHING

The problem with that is that once you beat a race, the returns are far less. It's those two things - your point about starting with one car and not really being able to do grinding like you could in the past - that makes decision making in this game far more important.

Series 8, Iceland gate drift, quick race, 3 minutes. 4000 and something on a rerace for the win placing
Series 7, Nevada gate drift, 3 minutes again. Around 3750 for the win placeing on a rerace.
Plus the usual little bonuses that come up on the right.
Not easy races but even for third, Nevada gives about 2000 including the little bonuses that come up.

And if people are grinding, load a ghost. Its 210 bonus for beating a ghost on top of the winnings and other bonuses.

That's of course if you've got that far.
If not, just use the drift ones that you've already five starred near the end of whatever is the furthest series you have. They are quick little earners.

There are a few two minute races in series 8 that will net 4000 as well for a win after you've five starred. Can't remember which ones right now but they're all S class.

Edit. Even the RS4 race at start of series 8 gives 1200 just for coming last.
Wish I could remember what they all give when you win the first time with 5 stars but I do remember getting 15,000 a few times on a first win with 5 stars and associated bonuses.

Edit 2. Elimination ones are also particularly good. Again three minute races and first elimination in series 8 is worth 3500 on a rewin after you've five starred it. Plus its a pretty intense race.

  18. Congrats on winning the GOTW, very well deserved, and can't wait for Modern Combat 5 cause that too was so pretty at E3.

I really don't want to derail the thread, but is there going to be any news on MC5? All we saw was a preview and that's been it for the last couple of months. PM me if necessary.

If you bought either the Ferrari FXX or Bugatti and have unlocked season 8,I think the best race to grind is the Versus against each other (last race at the bottom). You get 4250 for a 2 minute race, and it's relatively easy to win.
