What's up with all the people boosting in the Apex? Every race seemingly has five people with nitro starters and tuning kits. It's not even just the clans, it's everyone. What's the point for these rewards?
Depends how many points have u accumulated? CuZ u jus did my first 5 races (have yet to get 1st place) and only like 2 ppl use boosts
I've done 8 or 9 races and the only one that didn't have anyone boosting was the first. Had a couple others where there was only a couple, and the rest had 4 or 5.
Hey SlightReturn, I saw you in one of my race unboosted and wondered why? If I remember correctly we had 5 drivers in the race, and you were 5th, 4 were boosted including myself. I see no harm in using the nitro kit and tuning kit, they only cost credits, not real money like the double tanks. That's the part I don't get? Why are people burning double tanks when the top prize is only 1 double tank. As far as the other boosts, I look at it this way, after the five races I have made back the credits I used to get the boosts, so really nothing lost. I find it would be impossible to be competitive without them, to be in contention for a top spot I usually have to win 90% or more of the races and that's just not possible without them.
Yeah, you had a good race. Thanks for not knocking me out, too. I'm still grinding credits to buy and upgrade some remaining cars, so buying boosts takes away from my earning power. I tend to not use them unless I can earn them back. I generally do these MPTLE's just for fun. I like that the car matchups are way better than regular MP, but I can't always put the time in to reach the top spots anyways, so I just race when I can and take whatever rewards that gets me. I'm guessing most of the people using double tanks aren't worried about having to earn or purchase more of them thanks to nefarious methods.
Wow! I think you jinxed me. My last 5 races, which I just finished I could only manage 2 wins, all 5 races had multiple players with double tanks on the savage gtr's! I'm not going to waste a double tank for a chance to win a double tank, makes no common sense. Ironically they were all clan guys, I guess your right about the nefarious methods. Only kidding about the jinx, I also understand now after reading your post why you don't boost.
Wow, I'm old. I had never heard of that before. Do these videos have a point? Is it similar to rickrolling? (No offense intended I'm genuinely curious.) I assume MLG refers to "Major League Gaming", but that doesn't explain the screaming and other random aspects of the video. eSports is a pretty serious business, after all, considering how MLG is big enough to cut a deal with ESPN.
wow eric, hats off, how the hell did you do it?? Really impressive time and achievement to be fastest one! I was also trying (on samsung leaderboard) but got not enough time to practice - too few tries something around 10 tries overall... so I consider my 6th @2.00. 585 not so bad result
Hùng has just posted a good video of his 1:22:276 biome run: http://youtu.be/Jlct512XcLE Encouragingly it's almost exactly the route I used to get a 1:24:011 (I think that's the time, I can't seem to get on this morning), but it's a bit of an eye opener to see how some very loose cornering on my lap has cost me almost 2 seconds. I just can't seem to get complete control of the biome, have been experimenting with dropping the sensitivity and my fastest lap came on 70% which is already lower than I ever use on anything, might drop that down to 55-65 today and see if it helps. Btw I meant to say eric777 congratulations on your time and on winning the car, must feel great dude I've come close to a few now and would absolutely love to make it, esp on an IAP car too. Well done! I noticed your chat with hector on it too, I assume there's only one available on android?? There were 2 up for grabs in the iOS version.

I shaved a bit off this morning to 1:23.570! The missing second might be the last u turn, I went outside the AIs and Hung inside! I'll give that a go later on my lunchbreak. I mentioned it earlier but the cup was not over at that moment congrats eric777! Huge effort, well deserved!
Tried out the savage GTR in mp.. It is actually quite good I beat some maxed boosted k1s which was nice but it seems to have a problem. 50 %of my races involved it exploding at random, in places where I have never come across it before. And have found it keen to throw weird jumps off ramps.
I just took so little off mine there that my position didn't even improve lol, on 1:23:991 I think. I know I can get down much lower, it was actually quite a poor lap on the jumps and bottles etc although I dropped the sensitivity to 65 and made all of the corners significantly better than I usually do. I'm looking forward to seeing how low I can get if I can pull it off properly later, hopefully a high 1:22 at least.
That happened me twice in the jaguar cup at the weekend, car just wrecked randomly with no apparent reason, just in the middle of the road and exploded.
Hey Nemesis, do you recall what tracks you were on? I want to run through them and see if it happens to me. I do recall it happening to me a few weeks ago during the GTR Great Wall event, I blew up in 3 different locations during that event, it looked like I ran into an invisible wall directly in front of me.Lol.
