I did in the SLS at two upgrade level, which was quite difficult. The Alfa should be more than capable. Just knock down as many as you can at first straight, take the tunnel at left just after you go through the building and the road immediately to left of the robot for the shortest route. Actually, avoid going through the building, keep to the left, you'll lose less speed. When you get infected, keep knocking out cars and stay on full nitro as much as possible to build up a lead. And get infected on the road with the jumps after the giant robot if you can because you can full nitro all the way to the end which will help. That's the best I can come up with because infected is very hit and miss as to what works on each track. Generally being infected in the last 30 seconds helps because you can full nitro all the way and pick up some time bottles while all the rest are exploding around you. @Sambo, just pm Ryan their usernames if you can see them in the screenshot, probably best not to publicly post their usernames, not sure of the implications. If that's okay Ryan?
One thing that I noticed really sucks is that if you're doing a spin jump and in the middle of the jump you knockout an opponent, than your car will land sideways and low all momentum, most likely resulting in a crash. Okay thanks for the advice, I'll try out it. Firer more, I may have asked this already, but I'm too dumb to remember the answer. Anyway would it be better to upgrade the Lotus or the Alpha 8C in the long run.
Okay, but just to contextual, did you buy pack C and D? Because that's kinda the perspective I thought we were taking this from. Also, its not particularly meant to be 100% accurate as such because I don't really see a need or a point in buying every car anyway as they are not all useful and not all in featured events. I merely believe that pack C, but especially both packs, makes it possible if one has the appropriate skill levels and buys cleverly from there on. Anyway, this one is starting to go around in circles, meeting adjourned. @Paul, the lotus seems to be a better prospect. Can't quite get the A.fa to work for me but the Lotus is doing very well.
Yeah, that's fine. PM me their usernames and what hack you think they were using/what was abnormal about your experience interacting with them. I'll still need to figure out how we can go about remedying the situation but I'll need some evidence to prove that something needs to be done
Since I'm a cheap sellout that buys unneeded IAP's, I bought the C and D packs. Although I already had 5 cars out of the 20 that I got, I figured that this game was easily a $9 game, and I also didn't want to have to grind. So far I am on the 5th race of season 6, I have 388 Stars, I would have more however I have 11 races not unlocked because they require me to buy cars. Unfortunately I only have $94,000, in my most recent game 5 stars netted me ~$6,000, so I am thinking that if I don't have to grind, then I will most likely barely have enough money to buy all of the cars. One thing that is pretty ridiculous is that one of the ahxivemtns requires you to fully upgrade every car, basically begging you to purchase IAP.
I really hope we'll get private lobbies in MP. That would also make it much easier to avoid cheaters.
I'm a little bit confused why one would feel a need to reply to that particular post after four days and 16 pages. That particular posters attitude to iap, games with iap and developers who use iap (iOS gaming in general basically) is very clear in that he considers it deplorable and immoral so reiteration of the topic seems somewhat pointless at this stage and more of an effort to instigate what exactly? The thread has been extremely civilised and helpful up to this point. Lets not change that.
Did everybody already vote for Asphalt 8 in the Touch Arcade forums' Game of the Week (August 22) poll? Join the who-is-who list in the A8's poll tab and help creating one of the biggest gaps between first and second place on the GotW poll! Participants until now (image): Poll closes today! Hurry up!
Despite of that I accuse you of being one of the most valuable tA members and I'd love to see you in the GotW poll (even before your post count reaches 5,000). Still playing A8?
Actually I am. Not a lot, but the fact that that 1.5 gig behemoth is still on my iPad speaks volumes for the quality of the gameplay itself. To be honest though, I'm finding the faster cars less enjoyable than the ones early on. It's just too fast - feels like more of an extreme reaction test than a driving game, and worse still the frame rate suffers. As for the poll, not really something I find myself caring a lot about I'm afraid.
Guys, I can only play well with the steering wheel control which resembles a controller which I'm used to, and due to all the swiping and friction, my left thumb is extremely sore and painful and I'm unable to use it since last night does anyone here have a fling controller and can confirm that it works well with asphalt 8? Because I'm considering buying one. Usually I would use my ps3 controller but I'm not jail broken right now.. So..
So far I'm about to unlock season 8 and so far I haven't bought any IAP. Couple tricks that I found out are really crucial: - Don't trigger the perfect nitro all time, in fact I rarely do. By triggering the nitro just once, it will deplete way slower and the gains in speed from triggering a perfect nitro don't compensate the faster rate that it depletes. Also, one nitro triggering makes it way easier to control the car on corners, etc. - Master the art of triggering a nitro in the middle of a corner: This will give your car a huge advantage over the other cars. - As it has been said before, try to unlock the bigger series and then go down to purchase the cheaper cars and get the starts in the lower series. I was fortunate enough by always making the proper choices of cars that I purchased, which in fact is very important. It still pisses me off how hard it is to trigger a drift while on nitro, sometimes it literally doesn't trigger, but hey...
Good to know. +1 There are far bigger games in the store (and far worse) Anyway: Each single bit of A8 a fantastic experience! Good to know. +2 There are chances that I'll be with you as soon as I unlock the faster cars in the Tiers A and S. We played the Lambor Veneno a bit in local multiplayer mode (where it's free to race) and we had the feeling that it's a fast weapon but not so fast as the first car in A7's highest tier. In A7 we ended up playing exclusively the Ferrari FF (tier 5 of 7) for the rest of our days. And in A6 the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Mossnot the top car at all! (After democratic voting of all participants.) Yesterday I had a BLAST on winning all stars in Season 4 Monaco Classic Tier Cbut with the Audi TTS (upgr 2/2/2/2)! I refused deliberately to buy a better car (although I'd have enough credits, 80,000 to be exactly) because I KNEW I can make it with this one. And guess what? I went through all multiple levels of frustration you can image in five attempts. Those tons of ugly dark/gray buses, that crappy black (almost invisible) and extra slow and extra stretched limou with those extra drunken girls onboard making their extra redundant and obviously never ending sightseeing tour! I HATE THEM FIERCLY! I had to collect, enforce and overuse all my mental, esoteric and shamanistic abilities for cooling down properly and making use of ALL (even more than I thought that ever could be possible) of my tactic skills in attempt number six: I fought like an aggressive bull, precisely like a hero and finally reached position #1 in about 40% of the second lap because former #1 crashed into a bus (my heart made poc! poc! poc!) and I almost crashed into the parts flying around. I don't remember exactly but I think I helped (pushed) him a bit into the bus. I've seen more than once crashes of the AI by themselvesdefinitely even with #1 involved (so never give up too early in a raceanything may happen). But read on please. There happened some dramatic scenes in this Monaco race. NO CRASH NOW, PLEASE! I know there is a dangerous rock in midst of that extreme hilly and tight last turn to the right! Absolutely NO time to watch the map, the speed indicator or the nitro display. I turned perfectly tight around that rock in the corner (drifting and leaving alone those far away nitro bottles).300 m before the finish: I could HEAR the #2 approaching and trying to overtake. I don't remember how (glad I had a tiny amount of nitro in reserve) but I accomplished to ELIMINATE that Lotus 5 m before finish line and won with a 0.2 sec gap before #3 (which was #2 then for the split of a second in the race and in the final results). ¡¡¡Never had such an INTENSE feeling of satisfaction in a video game against AI before!!! Believe it or not: I secured my iPad under a cushion and performed a crazy dance of joy in my living room! Kind of barrel spin and corkscrew turn at the same time (sorry, neighbours) although there are NO ramps in Monaco. The two extra stars "perfect nitro: 12" and "perfect run: 4" I made automatically (even without recognizing when) and NEVER would call those attempts "grinding". MUCH more fun and emotions than with an overpowered car! Anyway I'll buy the Lotus as my next car for Tier C. Gameloft, please add video replays (supporting store&save, even of local and online multiplayer races) and a list of our best times/results in career events (and details with which car, upgrades etc). Add a map for the next defibrillator. Thx in advance. Framerate is very okay on iPad 4. Extremely rare stutters even in local mp with multiple iOS devices. You'd be in good company there, Gabrien. I can't speak for all but the company would be fine with you around as well I'm sure. Ever voted for a GotW? Here is the link to the poll once more. It's done in four or five seconds. Gameloft: Here you have one of the best looking and funniest buses I ever saw (on a photo), made by Citroën of course (they always made the best looking vehicles until 1984and the Survolt is the best looking electro car in A8): (Sorry it's not an electric trolleybus.) I LOVE the OLD red AEC Routemaster double decker buses (Wikipedia) in London (almost all of them were ETBs before 1960 btw.)! Very well done in A8's London track (they are always exactly there where you need them )! And all the moving trains and metros! If you ever make a track for the Asphalt series in San Francisco don't forget the electric trolleybuses! It's the hugest ETB service in US. There aren't just Cable Cars in SF. AND they have street cars (trams).
