I always triple boost, but you've got to be sure that you can keep the lead until u get to the first ramp or nitro bottle before running out of nitro
My Ipad Air 2 is running IOS 8.1. Pls watch my new video that i raced Venom GT on Barcelona Map: http://youtu.be/W2O_Oo6eyfo
I guess it depends on feel of the car for each of us. biome is totally different though too unique to compare to anything else. Weight plays a part in handling too; venom, furai, sesto are lightweights in their respective classes so react faster than other cars with same handling spec,I think. P1 is just more fun than gtr unboosted probably faster too
Nice vid again! I'm almost a second slower but I noticed two slight differences in your route that I could work on, will have another tank activated this weekend for the jaguar cup at some stage so will try it between fuel refills Did you use that pangu jailbreak then? It's the only iOS 8 one I could find, have you had any issues with other apps or anything like that? I might do it next week, I think there are so many things to use it for that I should, to record videos, not having to use wifi for MP TLE and also to try the PS3 controller.
Camera view Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone else plays around with the sensitivity settings and camera view of the car? I change my sensitivity from time to time depending on the car. For the most part I leave it at 95% though. However camera view is something I never really experimented with. Up until a month or so ago I always drove with the camera set on "action mode" Then I decided to switch it to close mode. At first it really messed me up but after a day or so I liked it better than the action mode. Now tonight I switched it up again and I am using the fixed mode. Surprisingly it actually appears to be tighter or closer to the car than the close mode. Again, it is messing up my driving but I think on the whole I'm going to like it better. Now, it made me curious as to what camera modes most of you guys use, also curious about the sensitivity setting also. If you guys don't mind I want to take a little informal poll on what camera setting and sensitivity you use. I'm curious to see what the results will show. Thanks and have a good night and great racing!
Sensitivity: 100% (Tap to Steer, auto acceleration, brakes at the bottom, both nitro buttons to the right so they don't get in the way of the map). Camera: I used to always have it at close when I went through the career mode. Lately, I've been preferring action for the wider view and close seems restrictive after using action. Never seriously used fixed but I remember being uncomfortable with the way the camera turned when drifting. I normally do better with a bird's eye view.
I've been trying to match this and have come up to 54.63. I think my start was perfect. I've gotten the blue bottle and knocked down all five AI's although not all of them were side knockdowns. I think what gets me is the last barrel. It is hard to come at a good angle to do a fast barrel. How do you tackle the ramp after the first sharp turn (the shortcut which consists of a grey road)? I normally flat spin from the second ramp but I wonder if it is better to take the first ramp and do a quick barrel on the ramp on the grey road.
I'm not quite sure if I want to invest a double tank in the Jaguar competition. On single tank but without double barrel off buddha ramp I'm on 250, so with double barrel and a bit here and there a time inside 250 is possible rickyracer is on 1:01:8xx. I don't like the situation investing a double tank and not being sure if a place in top100 is possible! What are your thoughts and who will invest a double?
I started off and played most of single player either on close or fixed setting, can't actually remember which now tbh. Since I started really playing semi seriously I have used action setting as I thought the longer view helped, although lately I've been experimenting with close again as there are some manoeuvres I think it helps with. I find the close slightly more difficult when there's traffic involved though, so have been switching back to action lately depending on that. I guess it's a work in progress still to see what suits me better overall. Same with the sensitivity really as I switch it around quite a lot, although I'm definitely getting a better understanding of it as I try different things. It depends on the car mostly and to a lesser extent the map, usually a combination of both. I normally have it somewhere between 85 and 95 for most though so not too much of a range. One exception is the Sesto, I've been using it a lot lately working on one particular ghost and have found I'm actually quite comfortable as low as 80 on it, something about that car (esp with the kit) that I find slightly difficult to keep from twitching around. The nearest to it is probably the venom, I used it at 100 for a while but have recently found in better somewhere in the 80s with it. Sorry for the waffling answer lol, I guess like the camera mode the sensitivity is very much a work in progress too. One thing I have found helps me for certain is using 100 on the stock car free try TLEs, as it makes up for the lower handling. Public Ememy put me onto that idea during the k1 TLE and it reaped immediate rewards on the first bit where you need to get around the ramp for the yellow bottle. Edit: just reread this and realised I forgot to clarify, I use tilt to steer on an iPhone 5s. I have a feeling I would use slightly higher sensitivity in general if I was on an iPad but obv don't know until I get one. I invested one half an hour ago but you could easily substitute wasted for invested there lol. Only got to 1:01:7xx and not even top 100, top 50 looks beyond my capabilities on this car/map combination. Even Hung has just slipped outside the top 50 triple boosted and he's usually comfortably ahead of me in most leaderboards so I doubt I'll improve enough in the next 3 hours until it runs out although I do expect to improve some, wasn't a good lap I made at all, didn't really land the barrel at the top of the big downhill amongst other things. Kinda wish I had went for the MP TLE now but it's obviously much too late for that.
Hey Dave, 1:01.4xx seems pretty easy if you just follow hectors video. No tricks just one takedown at the start and straight at buddha no barrels on the the way up or on top flat just one at the last ramp on the left. Shouldn't be that hard!
Recently I had some races on my phone, weird! Hats off to those of you who play on a phone and post low numbers. Impossible for me to get anywhere close to the times I pull off on iPad! I use tilt to steer, action cam and for most cars use 95 percent. Even with the biome I'm up to 90%, I like small tilts and feel more comfortable with a higher sensitivity! Like you know HISNBERG I didn't even know sensitivity could be changed and did most of my achievements on 50% and struggled big time getting used to 95%. As Dave I like 100% on stock cars to make up for low handling!
I forgot all about that video of Hector's, have another 4 attempts in half an hour just before the tank ends so will try again. Although I've slipped to 11th in the uk muscle challenge cup and top ten get 60k so was hoping for a shot at it, but tanks are more important so might just stick to the jaguar.
Did you just log into your normal account on your phone? Any problems switching between devices? I know the cloud doesn't necessarily update in real time so did you lose any credits/progress or anything like that? Your comment reminded me of something I've been meaning to ask here as I get closer to buying an iPad with regards to all the multiple account chatter. Is it 1 account per person is allowed or 1 account per device? In some ways I wouldn't mind starting again on a new device from scratch but I honestly don't know if I could be bothered with it. There's all sorts of other considerations too like I wouldn't take my iPad everywhere with me like I do the phone and I make a lot of use farming for credits on the bus to and from work for example, so it isn't just whether or not it's the rule that matters, although if it is 1 per person I'd obviously just stick to my 327 account regardless.
I am running a iPad mini and 5s, I have the cloud function switched off on the I pad so have to do manual back up to keep my account synced. I don't have my iPad connected to the cloud as in the past the kids wiped all my contacts and and bookmarks I think the rules on multi accounts is one per device is ok, but why would you go through that again. The difference in control is huge between the 2, and going from one to another causes many crashes.I realise you can see traffic coming for the first time when I got the iPad You can also create a personal wifi spot with you phone and use your iPad to play multiplayer to get round that problem as well.
Thanks for that dude. I think I would just use my current account anyway but just wondered what the implications would be if I didn't. That's a good workaround with the wifi hotspot too, would probably make use of that On a separate note I've had two very strange wrecks on the jaguar cup today, where my car just wrecked in the centre of the road with no cars, walls, jumps, anything nearby. Was pretty frustrating as both were on decent laps although I couldn't say if I was on my best lap or not. Just seemed very odd as I've never experienced it before then twice in one day in the same map/car but on different spots.
@dave You guys have a muscle challenge? We don't! # I created a second account on my old iPhone 4, purpose was to not max the useful MP cars and compete in MP, because I loved MP to the moment when they invented the biome and changed the matching system! @nemisis & dave N you are right, I skipped my idea described above due to huge differences in the game and handling! There is not even items on the street for collecting little nitro fills, bottles only! And also with the steering set at 100% it is absolutely no fun racing on a phone! Oncoming traffic you realize just in that moment you run into it!
Oh man I wish I had that double tank activated on my last 5 runs in the Jaguar! On single tank 1:01.787 just .0xx behind you Dave on double! Currently 157th. I think I'll activate a double later because it's not much that's missing! Right now on iOS 1:01.5xx is needed but that might drop to 1:01.3xx until the cup ends! Dave if I can do this on single you must get lower on double! Edit: Am I blind or did they change the rewards in Jaguar competition? I thought it was top 100 get the tanks!? Now I see its top 50! Good, I didn't have the the double on! 1:01.161 is needed!
It must be an iPhone 4 thing not having the city havoc obstacles, I get them ok on my 5. I'm intrigued now about this traffic thing on iPad, I've gotten by just learning where it is on all the maps and basing my route on that but it would be obviously much easier if you have a clearer view of it on the larger device. I guess with regards to the handling you just have to make the best of what you've got, I don't have any major problems with the higher sensitivity numbers, it's still silly errors that cost me that I know I can do better, rather than any feeling of it being impossible. I definitely can see how you would have better control of the finer points with a larger device though, so I'm looking forward to getting this iPad as soon as I can convince my girlfriend that the cost can be justified lol. There's a pic of the muscle cup below, it will have lasted 3 days when it ends tonight and there's only 4 cars on the grid, neither of which I've seen before. I was wondering where you were getting 1:01:4xx from lol! I've given up on it anyway, I actually think I'm getting worse at this game!
I'm on Windows 8.1 steering with the arrow keys. It seems like sensitivity has no affect. 95% and 5% feel the same. Camera View=Action. I feel like I have better perspective and can see farther down the track.
