I wouldn't complain as much as I do if all the cars were available for credits. But nope, GL had to restrict some cars to be IAP-only. Also, I don't see how is limiting the awarded prizes from tournament making the game more competitive. What you do is: - Widen the gap between the pros/cheaters and the others, especially with IAP cars (best D-class car is one; it should be another option like the Aero) - Increase the amount of stress, leading to more mistakes - Make more people willing to cheat on tournaments I'd suggest either remove the use of boosters on tournaments (unlikely to happen: GL wants their money from paid boosters) or do division tournaments where the division you are given is adapted to your skill (dunno if that's even possible to implement)
My first Asphalt was Asphalt 4 in 2008 (I played it on my Nokia 3120 classics ). Just 6, yes, 6 years after I discovered Asphalt 8 (8 months ago) and wow, its graphics and its physics impressed me. Now, as you know, I play every day By the way, start on Biome's cups is really hard (Especially because that stupid Furai xD). Mi current best in the cup is 52.239 with single tank, but I can make 51.9xx or 51.8xx if I manage a perfect lap. Training in quick race I did 51.93x http://youtu.be/29hcJUSKUe0
I personally think maxed nitro is the way to go with the furai. Not only does maxing nitro increase your top speed, but it's supposed to increase duration and acceleration. Feel free to do the rest of the upgrades as you choose, but as I've said before, 4-4-4-5 Is a solid way to go if you still want to be challenged
That would definitely make MP more interesting. There are a lot of cars I'd love to race with but never do, because due to their rating they get completely outclassed in the matching system. I would love to be able to downgrade them and get matched up with more equal competition.
I know what you mean about that damn furai, it knocks the nitro off if you slam the back of it, I think I even hit it in my fastest lap so far. I think I found A6 and A7 in the store earlier but they were £3 each and for something I'll only play for 5 mins I may as well hold on to my cash lol. I'm still considering buying the mc12 if there is a good enough offer sometime soon, of all the cars I've competed for it's the one I really wish I'd won and the first one I really started to take seriously. I remember watching PEs video and seeing how he made it through the start without bumping the AI and I got very close to winning after that.
+1 At this point, I'll "never" be marginally competitive in S class again. I picked up the Venom the other week on sale, but won't be able to afford maxing it for a long time. But wouldn't because now need a maxed K1. Won't have the 4-5M credits needed for that for a long time. And didn't win the Mustang, so won't be competitive in the Ds. So, just waiting for the same to happen to the P1 and Biome
Nice video, man. I tried using that route in the One:1 Cup, but failed miserably in my "good" laps. However, when I did manage it, I wrecked near the last curve. How is iOS 8 holding up by the way? The new effects look nice, but do they cause lag? That conspiracy theory though. Speaking of the Illuminati, I'm thinking of making an "MLG" compilation parody of Asphalt 8 using Barrel Rolls, Wrecks, Knockdowns, etc. Does it sound like a good idea? The first ever Asphalt game I've played is Heat. I bought it back in 2011 or 12 (not sure) and really liked it. To be honest, it was the first ever car-related thing I've ever liked. It was easy to progress in the game by getting cars, upgrades, and even custom decals. There are a few non-existant IAPs floating around that are not even necessary. In Heat's TLEs, you pay Asphalt Dollars to enter, but you get back more than you spent which makes them worthwile. The only problem with the game is that if you missed a car's specific event, you lose the chance to get the car forever. The second game I've played is Airborne and the third is Adrenaline. Adrenaline had motorcycles and introduced the Adrenaline mechanic to the Asphalt series. Airborne removed it, which surprised me at first, but then got used to it. Airborne just disappoints me with its IAPs.
I almost forgot about the old games. The first Asphalt I ever played was Asphalt 6... on BlackBerry, meaning it resembled a racing game designed for the SEGA Genesis. It was more entertaining than BrickBreaker and IAP-Free, but still not the best game ever. I knew what the real A6 looked like, so at least it didn't give me a bad impression of the series. Then there was A7. My mom sniped it when it was App Of The Week or during some promotion like that, so I got to play it for free. Thanks to the pay structure, the difficulty curve was BRUTAL. I remember playing those championship races, where I would just finish second thanks to an inferior car and the fact that the guy in 1st would just be way ahead. I remember that there was a major bug in that game that would actually cause you to lose cars. I was horrified when I lost my CTR3, my best car at the time. But they fixed the bug and gave me 22 million bucks to compensate for the lost cars. Instead of getting the CTR3 back, I got the Tuatara and maxed it. I also got some other beautiful cars, like the Aston Martin One-77 and the Ferrari F40. I also remember the tiering of the cars being extremely messed up, which made me facepalm. There were seven tiers, and the placement of some cars was unreasonable. I remember the Sesto being in Tier 3, the Ferrari 288 GTO being in Tier 7, the Ferrari 458 being T5 but the 458 Spider was T6, and so on. A7 was similar to A8 in that it's fun despite the emphasis on IAPs, but while A8 has better graphics. better physics, and improves on elements like jumps and knockdowns, A7 isn't ruined by the presence of clans and dishonest players. Perhaps I'll redownload A7 and start playing it for nostalgia.
Thank you Eye, this router is hard and we should practice a lot. I got wreck so many times like you . I'm using Ipad Air 2 to run A8 and of course everything go smoothly.
Hey SlightReturn, that was fun, got to race you just now in the GTR MP TLE. You were in front me at the start, was about to hit you when I saw the name nine nines, then I just couldn't do it. Good race.
Hey Dave, I've got some new K1 ghosts for you to try this car is so difficult to handle when things come at you so quickly!
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! Come on, this is a 160 POINT DIFFERENCE IN CAR RANK!!! How is this even close to fair. The stupid segg driver didn't even have that low of a rank! I mean COME ON GAMELOFT. This is ridiculous. I don't use the Furai for ONE RACE and this is what happens. A-class mp used to be pretty fair and even. Whatever you guys have done to mp, you need to change it. There should be a limit to how different car ranks can be to be matched up. AND I WASNT EVEN USING A MAXED CAR. NO EXCUSE GAMELOFT. Fix this. Now. Like I know the matching system has been subpar lately, but this is just ridiculous. End of rant
I'm a bit of a late bloomer. I started with Asphalt 6 on a Mac, then bought Asphalt 7 and 8 for iOS when they came out. When Asphalt 8 started its descent into pay-to-win hell, I actually reinstalled Asphalt 7 — kudos to Gameloft for keeping the cloud backup of my account alive! I thought I'd have a blast, considering how I had all cars, except for the 50m credits tournament car they introduced just before Asphalt 8 came out, as well as 48m credits in the bank. But I was wrong. Asphalt 8's drifting is so much smoother and more predictable, I've found it's impossible for me to go back to Asphalt 7's erratic physics. Hear, hear. Hey Gameloft, I'll glady pay 1m credits to get my Survolt back to its sweet spot, rank 1160 at level 2 across the board.
I didn't get in on the fun until A7, but I was hooked immediately. You're right though, going back and playing it now isn't much fun. I bought 8 as soon as it hit the App Store, and I remember thinking the physics of 8 were terrible when I first transitioned. After getting used to them, there's no going back to 7. It's just way too different, though I do miss some of the tracks and adrenaline mode. I want to race with the Sesto and the Survolt. MP used to be a blast when we could use those cars and not get stuck racing against maxed out top cars in the next class. I don't even care what my competition's rank is, just match me with equal cars. That's how you determine who's the better racer. You don't do it by making people find the niche cars that get matched properly and forcing them to use them all the time. The stuff like what Damayn just posted should never happen. No matter how good of a racer you are, you're never going to overcome those unbalanced pairings unless the person using the superior ride makes a ton of mistakes.
That Furai is super stupid! 4 out if 5 runs it heads to the left! Gameloft should have asked 10 fuel bars for that race, because the other four runs are useless! Dave I'm on your butt! Finally a regional event! Is it only Germany or do you guys also have one!
I noticed you had a very low time, did you use the glitch at the end? Good time kj, I'm probably not gonna get any further with it today, won't be on much and will just play one:1 s9 for max credits when I do get a few mins. No regional event here in uk!
Played a little on my friends note 4 there this morning and definitely enjoyed the bigger screen. His settings left the colour very over saturated but still looked pretty good, hard to judge the sensitivity and responsiveness as I was only on season 1 map 1 with a level 0 Dodge Dart but felt decent enough nonetheless. Still toying with getting an android tablet instead of an iPad so I can get an android account too, was pretty settled on the iPad tbh but this morning has given me food for thought. Heisenberg I think kj mentioned you had one of those moga controllers, have you used it at all yet? I'm still reluctant to jailbreak but would really like to try a controller. I like the way that moga separates and attaches to your device rather than just being completely seperate like the steelseries.
