Universal Asphalt 8: Airborne - (by Gameloft)

cant wait to fire up this baby on my ipad 4.
from sanuku gameplay trailer i can tell that the long awaited racing game for ios finally arrived.

 

Any iPhone 5 imps out here? I will be playing this on my phone over my iPad since its only a 2

 

In fact i do. Love the unrealistic action scenes you can do in this one, it's really satisfying. I might not be replying much in the next hour. Im taking a break off the computer, and be burning rubber somewhere in the touchscreen world.

 

I would think this is going to be a pretty one sided Game of the Week contest this week.

 

To whoever cares to know, game is insane.

The amount of detours and jumps are ridiculous, at least in London.

This time, it actually feels like you are in control of the car rather than it dragging you along, just like in Asphalt 7 Heat.

I have tried multiplayer and it runs seemlessly.

I had my mouth open the entire time racing because of the effects and details on the environment and i was playing on the iPad Mini.

I can't imagine how it would look on the iPad 4 or my Galaxy Note II.

Oh, something else i love is how the sound gradually fades into vacuum the longer your jump is in anticipation of the inevitable touch down.

Getting this game shouldn't even be contemplated.

 

Ipod touch 4G compatible?

I had Asphalt 6 abt yr ago and thought it was real fun then Need for speed and Asphalt 7 came out so I bought Need for Speed: most wanted instead of Asphalt 7 as i thought it looked way better
Asphalt 8 now looks equally as good as Need for speed:Most wanted!

So my question is, should i stick with Most Wanted or pick this game up? plz let me know your thoughts on both

NFS is free this one is $.99. Have both for sure I say if you at all like racing games.

 

NSF is free are you kidding me. It 6.99$ man. Bought it myself. But it was worth it.

 

OK guys, I'm tempted to get this I have Asphalt 7 and it's excellent. A dollar is nothing but should I get Asphalt 8?, I have 7 and of course RR3. Is it better than RR3?

It is better than A7 , I wouldn't compare it to RR3 it has completely different handling

 

Well, haven't played this yet, but one's a sim vs. an arcade racer so you can't really compare. Personally, just about any racer is better than RR3's horrific IAP system regardless of game style (let's not drag that into this thread, though).

can anyone post a screen shot of the ipad 2 version? and does it run smooth?

 

@ryan please tell gameloft to bring this to ps vita(with full effect ON) and replace that crappy injection version of asphalt then ill be happy to double dip again on vita for $30.

Might have to double dip on this and pick up a version for my iPad Mini and Shield (if it's compatible). Love the Asphalt series (even somewhat enjoyed the Vita version) and this looks really great. Wish there was cross save functionality between devices. Loved when I fired up Dead Trigger on my Shield that it picked up where I left off from on my iPad.

Still, can't wait to try this one out.
