Hi, yes, that was me with the furai. I had made it to the number one spot and held for about 10hrs until the glitch and I lost all my points. I filed a ticket with GL but also sent follow up emails pestering them for an answer as to how they were going to rectify the situation. Once it got to the point that even restoring my points would have been pointless they sent me an email saying that they were sending me the car. It's not the way I wanted to attain it but what can you do. Cool thing was I had the car a day before the event even ended. I don't really love the MP TLEs, but I'm a good driver not a great driver, so I find that for me with enough persistence and patience and 80-90% win rate I can get to the top spots.
At least they gave you it eventually, I don't think everyone was so successful with their complaints! I know what they are like, I sent about 30 emails in 4 days trying to get a problem I had fixed just before the one:1 fastest lap cup started a few weeks back, kept getting cut & paste responses! I finally bought it just now after the one:1 was only 3m, spent 6.85m in a few seconds buying and maxing the one and buying the final 2 cars I needed, furai and nismo
Alright so the K1 is out. I'm thinking of buying it and maxing it, but I'm also curious about the GTR. I think the GTR would be a nice car to farm with, especially since its at the bottom of Season 9. Is it most likely going to be out for credits? Or should I just forget it and farm like hell to Max the One?
Yep, I don't know why people tended to believe those 3.5m, 6m or 6.5m. No one could show snapshot proofs of those prices except for the 3m. GTR seems to be nice, but it is just an A-class car plus it costs more than the one to upgrade.
I'd say buy and max One:1 and farm for GTR. That's what I'm going to do I think One:1 is more strategically valuable being the fastest car of the highest class in the game atm.
I just did the one:1 lap in 54 seconds so it is likely to be my farming lap from now on, not sure of the credits though as I got 5 stars and still have double credits activated from last night. I would imagine the GTR will be slightly slower for slightly more credits but over a long session will probably balance out very similar.
Only by about 150k credits though. And I'm pretty sure the price to buy it if it is for credits won't exceed 1 million. So I think that's a big comparison.
About 5.7 according to Dave. Even if the GTR is the most expensive to upgrade being at 2.8m, its cost to buy shouldn't be anywhere close to 3m. That's where I need to make a decision. If it is even available for credits soon.
5.8 will cover it, I think I had a thousand or two more than 8m and dropped to 2.3xx after, can't even check now as I bought the nismo and furai to complete my non IAP collection and level 1 upgrades for both but it's thereabouts. It's such an excellent car to drive, brought back frustrating memories of a few weeks ago lol! No glitch this time tho, not if it's being patched. Got 54.8xx but there's more available, I caught some of the key parts well but as usual hit the wall in the final turn, traffic included too although I don't think as much as nismo season 8. Now I need to find the time to get at least 9 attempts at the GTR before midnight, I have a million things to do this evening too so could be difficult. Will obviously activate a tank or two anyway and see what I can do. I noticed from racing your season 4 ghost that you were gaining a lot of time on me in the last drift, that could be the key to me getting down to 1:08:0xx. Can hit the double roll most times in f12 now so if I can even get the single and take the extra barrel on the uphill I might do it that way, still intend to try more of hectors route tho.
Will have a little stream running from now on! First some practice on Nemisis ghost on season 1, MB CLK and then 3 runs at the GTR!
The maxed One:1 is indeed a fascinating car — it's so stable and easy to handle, it feels like driving an A class car. EDIT: Almost forgot... Let's reschedule then. I might be online later tonight and play around with the new shiny a bit, but I don't feel like tooth and nail racing today anyway, to be honest.
Funny you should say that, I thought it felt like a faster p1 at first. I might actually start playing some MP with it, using the survolt is boring me to the point of putting me off MP. I only really started using it for easy races to get my level up a bit anyway.
I've recently rooted (finally) my phone and recorded my first gameplay Monaco reverse with RS4, I was practicing it a lot during last TLE with Aero as top 5 prize. Was very close with 1.41.036 (a fastest time with RS4) but unfortunately Audi cannot match Jaguar F-type R which I don't have and I finished only 9th Here's the video: http://youtu.be/utsxNoSVDX4
Think I'm beat on the GTR, will have enough fuel for 2 more tries in an hour but tank just expired and I don't think I can justify using another for 2 (probably unsuccessful) mins of gameplay. The fuel system is particularly annoying for me tonight as I'm definitely making gains, most runs have been 1:08:5xx or close behind, have hit the double barrel basically every time and just made really inexcusable mistakes later in the run! Might just leave it at that and hope the 2 multi accounters now above me get the boot. If it was an IAP car I'd prob keep at it and maybe even buy a few refills but it's not worth it for a car that's likely to be less than a million credits in a few weeks time. Any of you have any joy getting to the top?
