Any idea how it actually works? My AA8 account and facebook account are completely different things. I play on my iphone but logged on to my actual facebook account on a PC to like the promotion. I can't imagine how it would transfer.
I am on iOS/iPad Air and tilt steer, which is unfortunate for TLE but gives a nice return in graphics and fun. My ghosts are not much to speak about, as I have not really worked on them, so you can score some pocket change without much effort ;-).
In this post I'm addressing a few topics. Firstly, welcome, ccolumbus. I hope you enjoy your stay. There are some really great players here to help you hone your Asphalt skills. Secondly, if anyone gets a GC request from MegaPrime29, he's a friend of mine who just got into Asphalt 8. Thirdly, it was nice seeing the posts about our beginnings in Asphalt. Most of us started out as noobs and gradually improved. Lastly, DeepBlueSea89, I think the rewards are for everyone in the game in general and not tied with a specific account. I may be wrong though. (Who would even buy those overpriced car packs anyway? If they were ~$2-3 then perhaps, but $20-$100? Nope.) The only "reward" that interests me is the cheaper credit cars and boosters.
It can take some time for ghosts to appear in the game after you connect on game centre, most of mine seem to have been within 24 hours but no sooner than about 4-6 hours.
What sort of times are you guys looking at for 1st position in your divisions so far? I got straight in to 2nd at the first attempt but it was by no means a great lap and I'm still pretty much a full second behind 1st so far. Hit 3 cars and a wall at the start, didn't barrel over the big jump, and slow barrelled twice in the last one so there's plenty of time left for the taking. There's probably some spots I've used perfect where triple could work too, was playing it reasonably safe to begin. Could see it getting into the 1:07s if all the key points go well in one lap.
So Dave you went full throttle in the first attempt? If not what was your first time, as I haven't entered competition yet. Edit: Ok reread your post, second straight away!
I'm first in my Division with 1.07.872 Perfect lap,under 1 second Barrels on every jump that i Took,but I'm not Even first lol,the First is an open Guy who did 1.07.832 so it's going to probably be a "two Horse race" in my Division
There are some driver number guys here, who are you in the game? Same as here? That is quite some time! Still did you give your very all in the first attempt or held back? Dave you also use twitch, mine was working fine on the first day but never since. Anything I need to know about twitch?
What route did you take.I am first but with a 1.08.8, missed all the AI,short drift and triple over the jump collecting the gold, then perfect to the second of the barrel rolls. Triple to the big barrel,low barrel and triple of the edge, perfect and collect the all the blues, then short drift off the dirt track and perfect to the second barrel and then triple to the end. Two of my barrels were to high and my drifts were a little long but I guess that could make a seconds difference ?
The first place in your division looks very suspicious. A good chance that it is one of chinese tastes' accounts (I may be wrong). If so, good luck with that or wish him cleaned out by GL. Agree
So my Route is,knock down two AI's AT the start(then you'll have enough nitro Untill the Buddha jump),AT the Buddha jump,do a Double barrel Roll,then take of course right Route barrel Roll on the SECOND Ramp,then triple get a really low barrel triple to get Max airspeed downhill,then take 1-2 of the Blue bottles,jump up the hill(which gives you a higher TOP Speed)and triple Untill the end
I take the second Barrel on the right way and the One after(the One b4 downhill)and of cours I drift about 20 Meters,on the corner before Buddha,but not to gain nitro
You were right the first time, it was actually my second attempt, first attempt was 1:09:513, I meant my first 3 attempts when I said first, until the fuel bar ran out But yeah I just went for it, have about a 3.5-4 hour window of opportunity this evening without the family so wanted to get straight in with my extra tank and not waste fuel and time on practice laps. I'll probably use another on maybe Wednesday and probably Friday too, have 19 available and this is the kind of thing I keep them for. That said it's pretty disappointing that there aren't 2 more available for the 2-50 or even 2-25 positions. I just tried to join to show my brother something, didn't actually get it working, I think I set up 2 accounts but neither is working, both saying username or password is incorrect, which is weird as I used my standard password that I use for all gaming stuff. That's pretty much the route I took, I suspect there is a faster one, I only got 1:09:000 on my last attempt there, still miles off the pace and it's was clean enough, maybe slightly too much air time in the barrels still. I hope so, it doesn't look like the strongest division ever so far so if I can shave another 0.5-1s off and he gets the boot I could be good
