Started playing A8 in June this year, mostly regular seasons and MP, which could be good fun in some niches if you do not try to max all your cars and do not play for rank. Only started playing TLE with Aero XT cup, where I failed miserably and looked for some forum advice. That's how I came across this place ;-). I am mostly reading it during lunchbreaks at work, so have been silent most of this time. I guess I am currently an initiated player, but not a pro, as some of you, folks! BTW and on the same subject: what is your current playing time on A8? How many TLE attempts you make for a cup offering new car (including any training outside the cup)? I am currently at some 100h playing time after 5 months. Unfortunately, not much time to train for cups, usually some 10-15 attempts during cup duration.
I'm using Aspahlt 8 on my iphone 5s and I'm connected to Facebook , Game Center and make regularly iCloud backups. But i still don't know where my save game is saved. If i loud it from Game Center i get save game from one day or two day's ago. And I've read many posts about clan members who share their account or " car sharing ". How is that working and what does it exactly mean?
I am in same division as you. Will try these day to activate. A double tank to see where it takes me.
My playing time is a lot, something like 7 or 8 days, but it is skewed coz I used to do this credit boost thing while I was in work (start a race in season 8 Alps elimination and pick up the 1455 credits for the participation medal after 45 seconds over and over lol) which increased it massively. In TLEs I basically play whatever I can and what the fuel bars allow, I paid for 2 or 3 fuel refills towards the end of the one:1 coz I was so close but I won't be doing it again. With regards to practicing I really just try and find a season event on the same map as the TLE, if I'm spoiled for choice I'll try to get a car that I believe to be most like the one in the TLE too but that's not always easy. For the current cup I've been playing mostly season 9 Ferrari f12 on Great Wall and some season 8 lykan 2 laps. If you're on iOS add me in game centre, same name as here
I removed mine from fb a while ago and just connect through game centre now. When I was having problems with my account I deleted the game and reconnected through game centre and I think I lost a day or two of progress too but beyond that I can't really help much. Regarding the sharing, I don't know the technical details but it generally involves logging into other accounts to get their data saved on your cloud or something like that, then I assume when you log into your own again you have the same 'extras' as the other accounts. Don't know anything beyond that and I've spent much too much time building up my account to put it in jeopardy by messing about with stuff like that. That's just info I've picked up from here and on the fb group. You're best not tempting yourself by finding out more lol.
Yeah, but I think all my San Diegos are glitched from practice rounds. I hope they will delete the old ghosts with the new update. But why sould these glitches be deleted, by now everyone knows them so why not leave them as a part of the game. Gameplay: I have 16 days of gameplay, from farming for credits in need to max my 69 cars.
Meant to say thanks for the replies on the 5000 player cup starting times. I was leaning towards velandil's idea to join in the middle of the week, obviously it isn't fool proof by any means but makes some sense. Regardless, I will be starting tonight anyway as I have just found out I am child-free and girlfriend-free for most of the evening so have no excuse not to use a double tank I just need to remember to avoid my boost-free ghost maps in between, I got lucky with the biome one as my route still needed work but mightn't be so lucky again. Kj I can only assume they mainly fix the glitches for show, it doesn't look good for the game if you have to use something unintended and 'unnatural' to win. Plus they might put San Diego into MP with the next update too and it ultimately skews results.
Look at the small avatar next to first prize, if I should win my division I will be given a One:1 not a Savage GTR. It was exactly the other way with the grind Marathon for the One:1. The avatar showed a GTR.
First off, welcome. I used to, before the fuel bars, hammer hard on TLEs to get cars. There weren't as many clans back then, either. Now, if the top one player in a 5,000-person TLE gets a car (ios), I'll just put in a few runs to get leftovers. Some MP TLEs, I'll grind with the best of them. In terms of total A8 playing time, I'm over 500 hours, but losing steam fast. Oh, did anyone notice the slight, yet generous glitch in Westminster Bridge? If you crash just before first jump, sometimes you'll respawn on the other side of the river.
I played that all weekend for the 2 tanks and didn't even notice, I saved all my crashes for the corner just after that jump when my brake/drift button seemed to keep deactivating my nitro instead of drifting
I watched a stream of a sky member. He found a glitch with the London map. Once you take off in the last jump, go to the very right very fast. You will spawn on the ground which will slightly improve your time
I'm not sure about the "strategy" on the timing of joining the event, especially with GL "cleaning" the multiple accounts from the leaderboard. Yes, these multiple account users got cleaned from the divisions they were in. But they can try as many times as they want later on to join other divisions. This actually might have become a handy way to shift divisions: if you're unsatisfied with your division, just use multiple accounts and let GL clean you out, then you can join other divisions with a single legit account. I'm not sure if this is better than have these multiple account users locked in where they are. Another reason that GL should ban multiple account users (at least for the duration of the event) rather than just cleaning their times.
Funnily enough I saw a guy called skyout in one of my races flashing and seemingly respawning ahead of his crash points, just assumed he was cheating as I've seen a little talk of something like that here before. Having said that I'm pretty sure it was more than once, actually meant to report him for cheating but forgot all about it.
Have just had a few tries on a season 4 London event, works perfectly takes half a second off. I guess that every map with jumps over water might have glitch or even Alps with the very big jump. Btw. Welcome cccolumbus, what platform are you playing on?
I would imagine advertising revenue as a starting point, for a busier social media presence. Then on top of that to present 40+50% off the crazy priced cars and credit packs as some sort of achievement or great deal. Can't imagine they get too many people spending money on them as things stand.
