It's a decision the game team decided to do, as far as I know. They explored the option of IP banning but it appears they didn't go with that option. Also wanted to say thanks for everyone who messaged me about the Samsung issue, I'll be forwarding that along to Fabien and the team. One other update: The Twitch SDK (fingers crossed) hotfix should be going live this upcoming week. I'll let you know if anything changes.

This whole cup is a disaster. Everyone in the top 20 used the glitch, but only some got removed. They should have fixed the glitches on both San Diego courses before using them for any kind of tournament.
Ryan i have discussed with chinese clans, the problem is they think is perfectly normal play with many accounts and exploit the bug in the cloud to have unlimited extra tanks...so unless Gameloft decide to ban them they won't stop and think twice about it before do it.
The only saving grace in this whole debacle is that the glitch is at the very end of the track, so you still need to put in a fantastic lap to have a chance at the top 20.

Maybe you put up that new 56.xxx time just after they had removed the first one, and you didn't notice. I really hope you get the car, but I have a bad feeling overall about the whole thing.
Hello all, I'm new to this forum but I've been lurking within for a while just to get a feel for it! I'm NICKNAO, been playing A8 since August, so I guess I'm still a newbie, but I've been addicted ever since. I'm still grinding out multiplayer as much as I can, currently level 72 in the top 300, not much compared to most of you though but I'm slowly moving up! I have most of the career finished except for some of the cars that are from the IAP's. So, I guess I'm still learning all of the tips and strategies for the game. It's great to see many of the top players here and I'm hoping I can try to be a part of it too. You guys seem very friendly so far! I'm also looking for new ghosts to race against in several of the maxed events (for those on iOS) I enjoy new challenges! And I hope I can be a part of this community too Game Center ID: NICKNAO
Hi Ryan, It looks to me that the team is unwilling to ban these people. There is probably some middle ground: After detecting the use of multiple accounts, put them into the quarantined leaderboard (the one with cheaters, as you did with suspicious times) for a certain amount of time (duration of the event or forever), so that honest players don't have to compete with these people for that event and these people won't get rewarded
That's definitely true. I dropped from 14th to 19th overnight with 57:090, I think by tonight you might need 56.7xx-56.8xx to be safe, I've written my time off already even though it is still there for now. It brings its own problems tbh, do you go off early and risk messing it up like I did on two excellent laps last night, or play it safe and stay on the wrong side of 57? Very frustrating TLE all round, looking forward to one on a glitch free map. Have only had a couple of tries at your tournament too due to the one:1 but it's definitely a good challenge, I noticed it lasts beyond today tho so will get a good blast at it after 1am tonight. Both times I've set 4:20 I have hit the same bloody car on lap 3 lol, I'll not be reaching top 3 or even 10 but definitely think I can recoup an extra tank to make up a little of the 4-5 I will have used on the one:1 this week
Seriously doubt that at this stage. There are 56s there that have been up for 2+ days, public enemy has had two lesser times removed in the same timeframe so whatever is going on with his account doesn't appear to be related. I believe him when he says he isn't multi-accounting too although generally speaking I do think that's probably what most of the removals are about. A glitch in the map is not the same as cheating. I obviously realise that you believe otherwise and to some extent I admire your stance, but I fear all you are doing is setting yourself up to lose the car! Just go with it, get yourself a 56.x
