Sitting in the canteen in work here and heard that 'blood pressure' song faintly from across the room. Look up and some guy is waving his phone around clearly playing a8 lol. Might have to go introduce myself when I'm finished eating :)

I know, that run would have been better if I hadn't have had the pause screen at the start. I recon that cost me .5 of a second. and the only 2 non paused runs I got I hit the second to last barrel roll to low and crashed. After that I had to go out for the rest of the day and assumed I had wasted a double tank.
It worked out in the end. I now have 42 extra tanks, I am going for 50. Can anyone beat that :)

Well right now my time is 58:542

Edit: I take the 2nd ramp going to the 2nd carrier. Is the 1st ramp faster than the 2nd ramp.

I played a lot of season 6 venom map in the last week and found that was more or less the fm fastest route after trying many others. The only difference is where you flat spin onto the higher route and I was doing it afterwards through the suspended container, however yours is most likely faster as I sometimes ran out of nitro just before making the container jump.

Has anyone noticed there is now a gap between the barrel ramp and flat ramp where you have to land on the roof (the roof with the glitch on reverse) afterwards? Was that always there? I thought they were joined!

Gameloft seems to have a sharp eye on the One Tournament. I was just 16th place awhile ago and now I'm 13th.

Edit: They are returning to the leaderboard.

That's a good sign since there are only 20 spots available. Maybe that's why there's priority.

He is chinesetastes, i.e. the guy insanely uses multiple accounts and the guy robbed all ME412. He claimed using *only* two accounts, but there are 10s of his accounts on the leaderboard.
GL should have dealt with him for a long time

Yes, he's got excellent skill, but no respect for him at all.

Dark Zero and I got responses from Gameloft concerning criticisms we made about multi-player. I'll post the entire exchanges for you to see. Sound off if you wish:

    1. Dark Zero's post:

I am here to speak on a issue I am having with Asphalt 8. The topic is regarding the Multiplayer Time Limited Events. It seems that every MPTLE is a grind-fest to obtain the top prizes, especially for new cars. A fraction of us don't have the time to keep up and play 24/7 because some have jobs/school which hinders playtime. The TLEs should be about consistent skill and not time put in. Also, another issue regarding the MPTLEs are the lack of map variety. It becomes very repetitive and dull playing the same map over and over again for days. For regular tournaments, this is not an issue because of the strive for perfect times. That us the difference between TLEs and MPTLEs. ‪#‎consumerissues‬

    My comment:

I agree. Players should lose points for doing poorly in a race, just like in regular MP, rather than gain points no matter the outcome. Otherwise, we'll always see the same average players near the top of important MP events, and we have to figure that they literally bought their way up there.

    Gameloft's response:

both of your comments are very precise. I am sending them to our development team right away.

    2. My post:

Hello Gameloft. Do you intend to change the multi-player matchmaking process for highly-ranked players back to the way it was prior to the San Diego update? You have previously stated that "highly-ranked players who use D/C/B/A-class cars in multi-player will have to race against beginners using faster cars," in order to give them a fairer chance at winning. However, since the last update, that is no longer the case.

I've been ranked in the top 100 on iOS for a while, and just a couple of months ago, when I used a Mini Cooper (a popular car among veterans), I would frequently race against lower-ranked players that used Citroen Survolts and Exige Roadsters (usual car ratings: 1160-1205). It was challenging for me and for them, since their cars' superior speed allowed them to try to chase me down during the straight portions of the courses, while my better knowledge of the game mechanics enabled me to gain distance in turns, or in the strategic use of ramps.

But ever since the San Diego update, I've been stuck racing beginners using cars with similar ratings as mine (Scions, or Nissans and Camaros with ratings that usually range from 995 to 1050), and the races are no longer competitive. It's not fun for beginners to lose races by 20-30 seconds to a veteran player, but the new match-making you have put into place allows that to frequently occur.

Also, this has turned the World Series leaderboard into somewhat of a joke, since anyone slightly familiar with Asphalt 8 can play 10 hours a day, beating mostly beginners, and obtain a high rank without much difficulty. I have recently raced against some of these players, and their high rankings are not indicative of their actual skills. The leaderboard is no longer an indication of the best multi-player drivers, and it makes us veterans lose faith in the overall quality of your game.

I hope that you consider changing the match-making process back to the way it was before the San Diego update. I realize that the new multi-player events require a different kind of match-making, since they are based on point totals and constant races, but the standard multi-played mode should be changed back to its old self, for the sake of veteran players who care about these kinds of things, as well as for the sake of beginners who deserve a fair shot at winning races.

    Gameloft's response:

But as far as I am concerned, I remember that I saw people complaining that it is unfair to be matched with players that have over-powered cars. This is why it has been modified. It's hard to satisfy everyone as everyone have different playing habits, but we do our best to make the necessary changes.

    My new response:

Gameloft, I think that it depends on car class. An experienced player using a McLaren P1 or Sesto Elemento should never be forced to race against an experienced player using an SSC Ultimate Aero or a Lykan. That is not a fair match-up. But in the D and C car classes, you will find mostly beginners, and that's where the match-making needs to be modified.

In fact, I think different match-making should be used depending on car class. Players using maxed A-class cars should never be forced to race against maxed S-class cars, as the overall level of skill in those upper classes is always higher. But an experienced player using a Cadillac ATS (921 rating) should be required race against cars with ratings as high as 1050-1075, since those cars will usually be driven by much less experienced players.

Currently, there are many players in the top 100 World Series leaderboard exploiting this modification in match-making, and only using the slowest cars, since they know they will easily win most of their races.

I just want to reiterate to everyone that I do think maxed A-class and maxed S-class should never mix in multi-player, because the general level of skill in these classes is always higher.

But in D class, where 98% of the players you see are rated under 1200? Then yes, if you're a 2400-3100 rated player using a Cadillac ATS or Mini Cooper, you should be forced to prove how good you are, and beat Survolts/Roadsters/Camaros ranked above 1200, or maxed Nissans, all typically driven by these beginners. That's what I was doing before this latest update, and I had a blast doing it, despite a few close calls on tracks like Monaco or Tokyo.

Just putting this here because the comments I posted above were so long.

By the way, that Serik fraud ran out of the lobby 6 separate times when he saw me last night. He might be the biggest fraud I have ever seen in this game. It's unbelievable that he's about to pass me in the rankings, just because he apparently has time to play 16 hours per day.
