ok i got one more. the amount of time that crashed cars stay on the map is WAY TOO long. i crashed into a wreck that was at least 2 seconds ahead of me. still won the race later >_< for some reason the first place takes the longest possible route and 2nd & 3rd follow right behind. its dubai reverse and all three make the reverse devil turn, going underneath, passing by the aquarium(?). ty for the free win
i hit a LOT of ramps trying to learn all the different angles & mechanics. (I want to draw a diagram but im lazy =p). ill be giving general examples and descriptions. warning GWOT. (does not cover drifting ramps, or flat spin barrels) the game registers the very edges of a ramp, so depending on how all four tires enter and exit a ramp will determine your jump. this is probably where your pop-up comes from. one or more of your tires hit a ramp corner, throwing the car in the sky. you can even crash if your car body tips the ramp corner (like in barcelona, after the cruise and jumps, falling down into the lower road barrel, and kablowee). there are several different zones that can give different jumps. flat ramps are (pun) more straight forward and have a few 'zones'. (parallel only) (a) if the width of the right tires lines up parallel with the left side white edge of the ramp, you will make a quick & low barrel; with enough speed. (car hanging off) (b) the middle of the car lines up parallel with the white edge. outside of (a), and in between (a) and (b) you are likely to crash on your side. (c) width of left tires hang off the left side of the white edge. usually you can land safely but you might ski land. whichever two tires you land on, drive that direction to land (d) all four tires safely within the ramp edges. with the proper speed, you will land 99.99%. (e)* special case: making a diagonal line, more than the middle line of your car hangs off by the end of the ramp. high level technique; often used to shorten air time by creating a barrel roll when you hit a ramp and you are not guiding/turning your car left or right, but your jump wobbles or tips left and right, this is because 'the ramp senses' you did not enter or exit perfectly and attempts to make a trick. that 00.01% from (d) is here, when you can wobble and crash the landing. most times due to a diagonal line, a corner of your car will hit the ground first causing the crash. *there is a perfect spin zone when you will spin the opposite direction of your break drift* barrel ramps are extremely complex. (really shoulda drew a picture) your 'safe roll' zone is much more varied on your car speed, not only the enter & exit positions. firstly, taking parallel/straight barrel roll jumps. for this example, the high end of the ramp is on the left, and the car will naturally make a clockwise barrel roll (a) width of right tires completely on the lower white edge line. you need a very fast speed to land this low barrel (250/300 kph or more). there is high chance you will tip on your side or just fail to barrel or even crash, if part of your car hangs off the lower side of any barrel ramp. (except for elevated ramps like dubai) (b) width of left tires on the middle ramp line a very safe low barrel. most every car will land safely without nitro (c) middle line of car on the middle ramp line makes a medium-high barrel. keeps you in the air longer and slower (d) width of right tires on the middle ramp line makes a high and slow barrel, mostly undesired, except for raps like dubai (e) width of left tires on the upper white edge line this will make one of the highest and slowest parallel jump rolls. great for air time, not much else. (f)* special case: hanging the car off the high side of the ramp causes opposite spin, multiple barrels; too varied for me to test. when there is enough room, this can give you many spins/nitro, for very low air time. you can make many diagonal lines on barrel ramps to change your jump. i will give a few general examples (1) diagonally from any higher zone to any lower zone will give a lower/faster spin. (again, if there is no room to spin from at zone (a) then you will crash on your roof or side. (2) diagonally from any lower zone to any higher zone will give a higher/slower spin. you will often crash this type of barrel. you can recognize this mistake if the nose/front of your car remains higher than the tail/rear, after the peak of your jump. to recover faster after you fall, aim for "out of bounds" areas like water, or inside road barriers. you will recover much faster than crashing. (3) diagonally from any lower zone to one of the highest zones will often produce a normal/flat jump without spin. you will soar into the sky very slowly with little to no benefit. you turn that barrel ramp into a giant flat ramp. and you wont even gain the boosted falling speed. (4) skipping over 2 or more zones will often result in a crash most barrels will depend on speed, and ramp exit. if you feel like you will enter a ramp wrong, try taping the break to drift; you can save almost any barrel ramp fail by activating a flat spin. if you think your Exit will be too low, try drifting the back of the car towards the high part. this can produce a (2) situation. the problem with these drift corrections will be the landing zone, as you can land sideways or even backwards (NOT completing the spin), ruining your chance at winning. sorry, i wont be covering flat spin barrel ramps because the number of jumps greatly multiplies depending on left/right spins, drifting onto or off of spins, and perfect spins. if you split every ramp into four equal squares, how you enter and exit each square can give different results in the end. you can even drift on a barrel ramp, and make a normal/flat jump without spin! wider cars like the furai or thinner/smaller cars like the mini, can make special ramp tricks more difficult. hit the Page+ symbol to view the 'Quick Solo Race' option and practice some ramps. (does not award credits) Barcelona: the left beach path has many many barrels all in quick succession. Dubai: skip the first flat ramp, and there is a blue nitrous bottle and a barrel ramp behind. 1. try barrel zone (a) or (b) and make your spin underneath the high road 2. try barrel zone (b), (c) or (d) and land on top of the high road. minimize your air time! 3. after landing on the high road, try barrel zone (a) on the following ramp! aim for the lamp post and gain more nitrousReverse Dubai: practice THAT JUMP! without needing to make that hard right turn *really, you should practice that turn though!* if you want to try an expert barrel jump, go to Great Wall. take the straight path (not the S bends) and drift before the cave, aiming for the ramp. it jumps into some trees, over the 'canyon'.
such guide may be very helpful for newbies surely many of them will appreciate your effort. But in my case it's just a bug of course related with the attempt on the ramp but either way it should not behave like this and didn't happen in exact situations earlier, before one of recent updates. It happens always with McLaren 12C (I'll have to test other cars) when going on a ramp with only two wheels to perform extra low barrel and now it just lifts my car few meters up and only after that my car starts to make a barrel. Unfortunately I cannot record it but I'm sure I'm many of us experienced it also.
I've written down some of the suggestions given that are beneficial to the community. Some won't happen or aren't big enough problems, just small gripes. Regarding this post, I'm not sure they would even waste time fixing this. It's been like that since I started playing the game.
Does anyone know the Peugeot Onyx's max stats with tuning kit? I've seen that car in the MP TLE quite a bit.
Hi Yesterday i bought the Mercedes Biome and maxed it. But it is like the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. I sometimes lose the control of this car and hit the wall and crash. Any tips for me how to avoid this I play the Dubai route And can somebody share the maxed states for maserati Mc12 Thank you
when the cars just move so fast, the cobblestones of venice, or sidewalks or curbs or even water puddles will change the texture you're under. ive heard people say they get whole flat spins of tokyo sidewalk bumps. knowing this much will start to help. you'll have to work on your drive lines and avoid the trouble zones. quick on the nitro if you start to slide wrong or, if its an over drift, reverse direction and then nitro.
Same way you get to Carnegie Hall practice, practice, practice. The Biome is unlike just about every other car. You need to start by being gentle in the corners and on acceleration out of sharp corners. To start, short drifts can help. But Dubai, that maxed car can take the first right flat out, but it takes some practice.
I believe Mercedes-Benz Biome must not be Maxed. Level 3 or maybe Level 4 is reasonable... That's the tip!
I'd just echo everything already said, practice a lot as its unlike any other car, once you can make the Dubai S9 track flat out you'll have the basics. Gentle steering is needed, no sharp tilting of your device, I always take a lap or three to get comfortable after using other cars. You don't need to (maybe can't!) hug the corners to shave off time like other cars, the racing line usually is smooth and fast enough now that you don't need to drift. You can work on cutting corners tighter once you've mastered how the car handles. That's pretty much what helped me, I hated the car at first but have actually grown to love it, having fun atm doing the older seasons B class events beating my ghosts with it. They all seem to bring something new to get used to, coz again it is unlike any of the others. A quick glance at the top of any b class TLE leaferboard confirms it is worth sticking at it.
Just realized something relating to the no drift thing (after some isolated testing). There are two things. The main thing is we aren't hitting the drift radius (the part of the screen that initiates a drift). This is probably because over time, it becomes less about technical driving skill and we just focus on get the best time/winning. So this is our unintentional fault. The other part is again touch sensitivity. I noticed this on about 10-20% of my attempts to drift even though I'm in the drift radius. Ways to fix this would be for Gameloft to widen the drift radius (because anything outside of drift radius is automatically a brake) and tweak the touch sensitivity/calibration. But seeing as how this doesn't seen to be a widespread issue, this would never get fixed.
What do you mean? What is the drift radius? I can solve it by doing a swipe rather than a tap but this can affect your steering control.
I think he's referring to your turns. The wider the turn, the more likely it is that you'll drift. The smaller your turn, the more likely it is that you'll brake. That's from my experience with the game though, and I could be wrong.
The area in which if you hit the drift button, you actually drift and not brake. It's the lower half of the left side of the screen, under the map.
Also does anyone have a reliable way to avoid the triple nitro to pause screen start Glitch? I only got 4 runs out of my double tank that didn't glitch the start, and my clean laps were both spoilt by paused starts on the mustang cup. I see Loueene manage to get a quick lap in, toping my division.
I'm able to take the first right corner ( before the big barrel ramp ) and with triple nitro without hitting the wall Now i realized something The Lamborghini Sesto and the biome have the same handling state but the biome is much better in handling. Is this another false state from gameloft?
wasnt sure if anyone else swiped but it feels smooth-action for me. SWIPER NO SWIPING! im glad i wasnt rich enough for a max S class to farm this event. god people cannot drive this course. i didnt know it was so hard to "not touch the walls" and people boosting are just slaming into them. we need two-tier events; a time lap to qualify for the main event! hee hee. im no S class pro, but at least i can make it around dubai without hitting the wall >_>
From my observation it might be related to the track being rugged (roads have lots of micro bumps etc.) and when facing no-drift issue it might be because at the moment of tapping brakes your car having less grip on such micro bump which results with not triggering the drift. I have observed that in places where this usually happens if I tap and keep the brake a little bit longer my car drifts properly.
