I have just been 5000+ places down in Furai MP TLE which would indicate GL fixed the points losses issue and players got back on their spots in ranking.
I would imagine to even get the top 250 double tank reward you'll need a fully maxed and boosted P1. It seems like the sort of prize that would have been good 6-12 months ago. I'd say it's 'cheap' on GLs behalf to offer this but that doesn't even seem like the right context as there is no real money value on it, it's not even one of the more expensive cars in terms of credits. At this stage anything other than pay cars, double tanks and double credits are the only meaningful prizes and what they do give away in those they give to far too few players, as most end up won by clans who share it all anyway so have no use for them. Like I keep saying its a shame because A8 is very much an excellent game at its core but I don't think they do enough for the players to support it. I put in a shift yesterday doing 5 races every hour and a half for 5 double tanks and even though it got me about 7 quids worth of IAP it still seemed a bit worthless. I'd nearly rather just have paid at some point down the line for the disruption it caused to my day.

I am with dark z on this pre china I played a stupid amount of mp as I was recovering from an injury and was stuck in th house. It was almost impossible to get into the top 100 as it was full of people who had got their rankings up under different points systems an one had stopped playing to preserve their position. Back then I called for change and the possibility to at least get on point per race as quite often I would win 10 in a row and get nothing. The thing was there were a lit of great drivers all trying to break into the top 100 and for me it was mp at its best. When the double tank came in it spoilt it for me as on most courses it allowed you to triple everything and not have to use skill to gain/preserve nitro. It became just about the racing line and being first on the grid. The top 100 now is made up of frauds but remember that tano forced his way to the top through sock puppets and he was only a averagely good mini driver. Don't get me wrong I respect anyone that goes to the effort of getting into the top 100 but it comes at the cost of freedom to drive the cars that you like and for me that made it worthless.
That's a really clean lap hector, really tough to do in Iceland. Delorean's time is amazing, he probably got a double spin off the snow mound so probably had more nitro down the final stretch and probably tripled some stretches; except that your lap is near perfect
On my A8 friend list, there's someone called "HEINSENBERG" who was ranked first overall in this cup but then lost all his points. I just checked, and he didn't get them back. Not that it matters, as he hasn't played the cup since losing them all 2 days ago, so he could never catch up to the rest of us now.

I haven't got back my progress either, he probably meant that it has been fixed to prevent such crashes in the future, but like you said restoring the lost positions for us wouldn't matter now after 2 days.

Anyone got any tips on starting out on playing multiplayer semi-seriously? I'm not strictly starting out as I've done some messing about on it, mainly with the survolt as it seemed easiest to get top 3 and therefore win streaks. I usually only play it when I have an extra tank between fuel refills or drop in for an hour when season 9 farming is draining the life out of me. Basically I'm winning something like 1 in every 2.75 or so although I have mainly been going for top 3 and play either unboosted or with 1 booster, I've still managed to reach level 40 and a rank around 1550 or so. It's reached the stage I'm getting very little to win, 1/2 points or no change for 2nd and 3rd, and -10 for outside the top 3. Looking to start playing it more as I've maxed almost all the cars and cba doing the same 3/4 maps on season 9 repeatedly anymore and want to reach level 85 so that it pays a little better. Gonna go through seasons 1-9 first beating all my ghosts but then it'll pretty much be MP and TLE only. I have picked up from here that max upgrades can be a negative in MP so assume that I only have the max car as an option. Wouldn't mind sticking to the faster cars, esp as motor away says the lower class cars are just a procession now seeing how far you can win by, wouldn't mind some competition.
Its still challenging as you get Sestos and Zondas but t least you stand a chance. EDIT I think I ned to take a break from multi as I have found myself quitting out of races if I am winning too easily if they are more than 1 lap???? If anyone wants to meet up on Fortza let me know
