my error code was "5006" (again, successfully resolved; no loss of rank) can others who had "Unable to Sync" errors list their #s, and whether or not they lost rank? who knows, it may help GL o.o
Yeah, I played at around 1:30 PM ET, then not again until just now, so I wasn't affected by the crash. The majority of the players who have point totals similar to mine do know about the glitch now, so it's no longer a guaranteed first place, but finishing second doesn't make a huge difference, since I'm not getting many points for winning presently. I was in 30th place overall just a few minutes ago, but that rank was partially achieved due to the crash.
When your connection times out and you lose 10 points during normal MP, there's nothing Gameloft can do to restore them. It must be the same thing here. Besides, how would they be able to know how many points a player had before they were lost? It sucks for those afflicted, but random disconnections are part of A8 racing, unfortunately. Some may have lost a few dollars' worth of points due to this crash, but whenever I lost points in MP due to disconnections, I lost parts of my soul.
Perhaps it's the people using the water and Gameloft has decided to ban them. Please don't mention specifics of glitches...
I doubt they would ban due to the water glitch, it is part of the map as things stand just like any other feature or shortcut players use. I'm only surprised they used that map in the first place, fabien said on here it will be patched in the next update so it isn't like gl are not aware of it. But definitely exploiting something like that is not the same as accessing the code of the game or file sharing with regards to cheating/banning.
No. It has nothing to do with that. Practically everyone in the top 100 is using the glitch by now. It doesn't even count as cheating, as it's a small in-game flaw that can/will(?) easily be repaired by the development team. You can't blame anyone for using it; if they don't, someone else in the race probably will. I do at least hope that Gameloft reimburses anyone who's spent money on fuel refills, since they did lose all of their progress. Nothing beyond that, though. I've lost literally hundreds of MP ranking points/hours of point-grinding due to disconnections beyond my control. Those who have lost their rankings need to accept it and move on, though they do deserve all of their cash back.
I have to try Biome race With Huayra you can get a similar time than P1, but for me P1 is better and is really easy for me to get 54 seconds or less constantly And I didn't win MC12 At first is hard
Well that makes sense. I guess I should have had caffeine before attempting to post this morning... I think you get the same result either way, so it doesn't really matter at the end of the day as long as the leaderboards are cleaned effectively!
refunds will probably need emails and direct account review; not TOO much trouble, but if anyone bought refills, definitely send an email! some of the people are complaining about a massive change, not just a few loss points. I think mine was a best case scenario, i guess i just got lucky! i'm well under 50, and -absolutely refuse- to use the water glitch. on my best runs, i still win to a water glitcher who will come in 2nd. i use the two credit boosts, and farm every time my fuel refills. ive been setting alarms, and interrupting sleep >_<! at this point, i gain less than 50 points per full room, and like 15 even when i come in 8th. so, really, i could just lazy the rest of the runs. but i know i need to maintain, or risk falling out of top 100.
Yeah, there's no way I'm getting up 4 times per night for only 2 runs with this lousy car. I'd rather take the "cheap" way (that almost everyone else in the top 100 is taking as well) and guarantee myself a few extra points, in preparation for the last few hours of the cup, when things should get pretty hectic. What's your A8 username, by the way? I'll see if I can spot you on the leaderboard.

Yeah. Sometimes I lose 18 points for coming in second. I see his name flashing. Strange. I think it's because he put two hexidecimal color codes together. That or he found another code.
Has anyone gone up against the guy in MP who has a long name like "MyLongNameBlocksYourView!!!" That's not the actual name, but it's something like that.
The point is, multiple account cheaters still get rewarded if they're removed some time after the cup finishes. Why not just ban them (and devices) at the first place instead of just removing their scores? Is it related to any legal problems to do so? It is true they can always find ways to reset their devices once get banned, but it is still better than just removing.
Decided to have another crack at getting my extra tanks back on the junior b class and activated another one, after 10-12 attempts I could only shave off enough to get me 1:21:051 and just about in the 250. Checked there with 15 minutes remaining and realised I was in 251! Alas thanks to a quick viewing of hectors video I activated another nitro and tuning kit and switched to the Maserati from the survolt and first attempt using his route got down to 1:20:7xx and well within the top 200, even with mistakes taking a double barrel roll instead of a single and having to double drift in the last corner. Thanks buddy
I kind of like this Booster Madness MPTLE. Dragon's Den has some tough curves, so the Lykan stays very competitive with the Super S Class cars. I might mess around and try to play enough to win a few double tanks since it's only a 24 hour event. Plus, it's a short run, so if you want to grab some quick wins, and nitro starter will last your entire fuel tank. Haven't used any yet, but so far not many others are either.
