I'm playing them atm but losing interest fast. Like yourself I'm hitting top ten, top 5 even mostly as of late, but with the stop/start nature of the fuel system I'm finding it hard to stay motivated to improve, just getting more and more disillusioned the more I find out what I'm up against. The unlimited extra tanks are my main pet hate after the fuel system atm, using them can mean slightly different routes/jumps required/triple or perfect nitro choice etc etc but I haven't got enough experience (only been playing a few months) to work it out without a lot of practice, which I'm not prepared to keep paying to get when so many cheat it for free. I have a few built up atm but I try to save them for TLEs where I can win more back and then it's a couple of races every hour and a half which is no use to me, I work full time and have a seven month old child, I can't keep checking in every 90 minutes around the clock nor would I want to even if my circumstances allowed. When I play any game I like to play for hours at a time flat out whenever I get the chance.
Well, all we can do now is wait for the One: 1 and/or Asphalt 9 to come out. I suggest that you wait for the latter since the One: 1 has a dubious acceleration IMO. Also that car alone won't fix MP, TLEs or anything else. Maybe an update after its release but I doubt it will happen. If the rumor about GL selling the IAP cars for credits in the future is real, it may be a sign of GL giving up on A8. Another suggestion is to enjoy A9 while it's fresh: won't take too long for cheaters and clan shenanigans to appear. I know it's some pessimistic thoughts, but I'm expecting the worst so I won't be surprised if it happens.

Does anyone know if you have the furai already won do you get to use your upgraded version or is it free try basic level for everyone?
I don't know why everyone hates the decals on the furai: the actual prototype had those decals. Just look at the top gear segment on how they destroyed the car, its the same coloration. And I think the pixelated wing is on purpose, couldn't find a definite picture but I think the actual car might have had a similar reflective pattern on it. And I'm shooting to win the car this time
I think it's just the way it would look like in real life. The texture may be carbon-fiber. By the way, does anyone know the prices of the boosters before the 10-15 min downgrade?

Well, duh. All clan players except for the ones in 774G already have the Furai at this point. (On the iOS leaderboard, only the 774G guys are participating in this cup.)
The savage is gonna be faster off the line. Triple boosting with that much nitro is gonna be unstoppable

No reason for me to keep trying the Furai MP TLE. Unlike kids I have to work, so I can't play until I finish. Then, when I find 5-10 min free,I have to wait because I can't connect to the room even if I use the Wi-Fi at home. Enough for me and looking to the TLE's around, the cheaters and all,I think it's time to take some rest from A8. Really disappointed.
MP tle for 5 days is overkill even if its for a new car; I played in the nismo multi tle which was for 2 days, played intermittently, slept 8 hrs each day and still finished 6th without using boosts even once and I actually enjoyed racing against boosted cars at various upgrade stages without the pressure of loosing tons of points for disconnections and loses like regular MP. I wouldn't have done that for 4 days straight though. like most of the new additions in game like fuel system, MP tles have great potential really but like fuel system, its implementation is very poor.
NO NO NO NO NO! It's not the way it would look like in real life! There isn't carbon-fiber texture as you can see on this photo. It's a conception ERROR design from Gameloft! Believe me... PS: And where is the KUMHO tires????????????????????????????????????
