I guess with all the cheating on Asphalt 8...Asphalt 9 will be an online game like ModernCombat 5 and Asphalt Overdrive, to reduce the cheating...

The only way is to grind those career mode farm races. Otherwise, that sucks. I think we all want the One.
All. I haven't had #3 happen to me in a while but I hate #1 the most.
I wonder how much that'll cost. I'm still sitting pretty at 18 million but I see it steadily going down. Used to be at 23 million. These new cars are taking dents out of my bank.
I'm about to start testing in career mode in just a sec. Have to do something first.

Eh, at least you aren't in a money gap like me. But yeah, the upgrades cost a lot now.

How about ALL OF THESE? But seriously, I hate the 2nd one the most. 1st can be avoided, 3rd can be punished by doing the same thing. But I see people do the 2nd way too much. They make me take a wrong turn or a wall. But what I hate most is people that do wreck you even if they have the advantage, adding insult to injury. I don't care if it's a skill thing or not, and the only ones I wreck are:
    - People who (try to) do this
    - People I didn't want to make them crash (AKA accidents)
    - People who are unlucky to find me mad, mostly after running against one of those people
I don't find that tactic fair.

Well, I don't think A9 will be spared of that fate. As long as people have power, they will use it. We just have to enjoy the early days of A9 before it becomes a prey for hackers.

There are quite some problems with your suggestions:
    - For cheating to be reduced, the algorithm used for the tournaments and MP must be rock solid. That means they have to implement something automatic, regular, and able to detect most ways of hacking by using a 'perfect race time' of sorts. That or GL could check the leaderboards, but that's a bit much to ask.
    - People who play offline for a certain reason aren't able to play the game at all. Suppose someone's not at home, and there's no viable WiFi spot nearby. What will he do if he wants to grind some credits if he has some free time?

That's really obvious. Who taught them how to cheat?

I hate all of them but they are all viable techniques to win a race. The break at the start thing is very annoying. But if you suspect that the person behind you in a sesto is triple boosted and is going to triple of the line into the back of you then hitting the breaks can save you.
Taking someone out off the line is also useful when they are in a car with a better top speed than yours eg you in a sesto, rival in a venom. If they get sway from you the race is lost.
Same goes for running them into a wall if they have better top speed than you. Mp is about tactics and nitro and knock downs, and yes it pisses you off when it goes against you but this is asphalt not real racing.
If I see a biome I will go out of my way to take it down as thes are my new pet hate in the game, like survolts used to be. :)
It is also worth remembering that when you triple of the line you can get sent to the pause screen , while everyone else on the grid think you are trying to block them as you sit there not moving.

    All of them lol:D

I made a video of the Mazda Furai cup xD, I know, I'm lazy. A 1:10:542, can be a low 1:10:xxx. Oh, and I hate this car:D

This car is the exact opposite of the Biome (horrible steering + great drifts)

I hate that car and that track, my devision is winnable with the current top time 1.11.2xx but I can't be bothered as I don't see what it will be good for.
If it is good I will buy it later but I am saving my dwindling enthusiasm for TLEs for trying to win the one:1.

Things I hate (not dislike) about this game

    1. Clan/Team dominance
The Open and Elite Teams have players with multiple accounts. These players have no morals and keep running the TLE and racking up the top spots. In the old TLE style when it was just one leaderboard, the would always participate in tournaments giving out cars even if they already had them.

    2. Rampant hacking:
Gameloft is very slow to block hackers/cheaters despite proof from numerous screenshots.

    3. Extreme upgrade prices:
The money needed to max the Nissan GT-R Nismo (1.7 mil) is more than the amount needed to buy and max upgrade the Silver Lightning and Koenigsegg Agera R.

    4. TLE awards system:
Only the few top players get the top prize which means the teams/clans barely allow others get in the top. I'm at #10 right now in the Mazda Furai and am out of 2X tanks but over half of the top 30 people are times from 5-6 times. I have two Elite Pre-Dator spelled differently in my division and I have a different division than the picture in page 1041, this thread.

Still waiting for the Gameloft banhammer against those clans phenoms, then the lone wolves around. Starting from the players we have reported is a nice help for Gameloft. If after all this mess they are still there I don't know what to do. Don't ban them quickly means agreed with their behaviours and personally I don't wanna keep playing in a game where cheating is allowed. I'm a mid-level player,I work hard for my wins and if I miss a top prize I deal with it. Top players work hard too,but they cheat just to work less, but they get their prizes, stealing them from the honest players. In that FB group you can see how the things goes: since Gameloft still don't ban none of them, the other people start thinking the Elite and the other clans are right with their behaviours,so they follow their example. Ridiculous.

Not surprised about #3 and I agreed with points 1 & 2. Gameloft banhammer is damn slow, until then people get those prizes. The extreme upgrades prices are made to force people to spend some IAP,but at the same time "force" people to hack the game. You remember the first times on Windows? We get prizes from MP only with the China Update and I don't never see prizes like double credits or more. I've used some IAP at the time because pass some races was impossible without credits for ugrades or better cars. Who start the game now is almost f**ked and put IAP cars in the game and fuel system doesn't help.

After some testing with both cars under strange conditions (forced to 2 laps for everything except Venice), I've made my conclusions. All of this is with boosts.

Top speed: Nismo by 2 mph
    Handling: Mclaren by far
Nitro: Mclaren by good margin (it lasts a lot longer)
    Acceleration: Mclaren by decent margin

On most maps, I found my times were pretty close. Again, it's hard to fully tell racing 2 laps but they are mostly even with a small advantage going either way. Nismo is harder to drive as opposed to the Mclaren. Mclaren is better off start because it's acceleration is better (you can feel the Nismo shifting gears). I would say the winner depends on the map and skill of driver. Maps with many turns will be won by Mclaren. Maps will long roads will be won by Nismo. In multiplayer (which I haven't tried), the Mclaren will win the majority of races unless Nismo triples off start. In tournaments, the winner is up in the air until I find I way to test them better.

If you are considering the Nismo, only buy if you can afford it (upgrades and all). Otherwise, Mclaren is a evenly matched competitor.

I have bought and tested it in multiplayer during various stages of its tuning. It is worse than the the competition at all stages of tune as far as I can tell. It isn't a match for biomes, gtrs, mcLeran12 cs, caddie cts, or vantages.
I will max it for the hell of it but a p1 will beat it

I've been trying to find if anyone knows for certain but the most common rumour I've seen is 7 million to buy and 4.5 million to upgrade. Have also seen a few say 3m to buy and one person was convinced it's 8m to buy, but by far the most common is 7/4.5. Ridiculous price, I've only been playing a few months and have maxed 45(ish) cars so only have about 400k atm, currently wondering whether to grind the next 6 hours on double credits to buy and max the nismo for a shot at the extra tanks in the weekend TLE or start saving the 11/12m I'll probably need for when the one:1 comes. The one saving grace is that it's not a IAP £70 job.

Yeah I've tried both and it is indeed too close to call either way. nismo is quite a good car really, its handling is very stable; good nitro too just not crazy good like the P1's. The P1 is just too much of an allrounder with pretty much no weaknesses and incredible nitro duration to counter nismo's topspeed adv. Considering that the cost to buy and max is almost 3 times as much as the P1, like dark said sticking with the p1 and saving for the one will be better if you are tight with credits.

The guy who leaked the prices of biome and nismo correctly on the google community said it was going to be 3.5m. but I can't see its price being that low considering venom is still 3m, so 7m sounds about right, really glad it's not IAP, but still.....
