BY THE WAY After play a lot in S Class... I have to make a rectify and change my rating of this game: 4/5 Stars to 4,5/5 Stars PS: Not those Stars!
Anyone else notice that they've been making the IAP credit packs more generous? The $5 cash pack used to be about 16-17k, now it's 20k. The $100 pack was around 700k, it's now 900k.
There is no more local Bluetooth in Asphalt 8: Airborne. There is: online live (synchronus) multiplayer via Game Center (debut in the Asphalt series; was "Gameloft live" from Ax to A7) ghost (asynchronus player) (via "Gameloft live"?) local synchronus multiplayer via WiFi (was WiFi + Bluetooth from A5 to A7; RIP ), option: fill with AI, this works clearly better now than in A7 (better balanced AI) Played ever any local multiplayer race against a local friend with about the same skills? In the same car with the same upgrades? Do that at least once please and I'm sure you'll rectify and change 4,5/5 Stars to 5,5/5 Stars Edit (for the Asphalt History Departement): Local Bluetooth multiplayer worked and works in A6 (and only in Asphalt 6: Adrenaline; with Monaco) even with the Mac OS X version! (No more Mac Asphalt versions since then. RIP ) Macs and iOS devices in the same race! A technical unique feature never seen in another game.
If there's any IAP that would seem worth getting would be the car packs. I bought C and D car packs and life is easy. That was to counteract the poor purchases I made early on
How does local wifi mp play Habakuk? Sounds like fun to play with your friends. Does it require fast wifi?
Drifting troubles When I start drifting, how do I straighten out my car without crashing into a wall?
Sambo I can understand that, it definately makes the game feel fun again I bet. It lifts off alot of stress kind of like when you first started playing
We had only the chance to test that for 1 hr or so. Plays perfectly. I'm sure as soon as my friends are back from vacation we'll test that excessively. For us it's the best social feature of iOS games. Super easy and quick setup (in less than 30 sec ready to race)! You don't need ANY cable or ANY monitor (or any HD TV, sorry, Connector). Very mobile! I tried that alone with my iPhone and iPad but it's REALLY hard to drive two racer cars simultaneously with tilt controls. Believe me. So if some1 is looking for an extra challenge (if you've got more than one iOS device)… Play local multiplayer against yourself. Little rants: No more Bluetooth—that was handy in far away huts in the Alps or onboard of house boats in the midst of giant lakes (but it shouldn't be a big problem to establish a mobile WLAN somewhere). And the start of a next race needs going back to main menu screen (that was a bit more economic and with less taps in A7 when you wanted to race the exact same event once more what we all prefer here BY FAR). Note: You can choose the type of race (classic, duel, k.o., eliminate, infection), the location (all tracks—except the reverse ones) and the car tier and car type. You can play the first car of each tier "for free" (no need to buy) in local multiplayer. When you (on a fresh A8 install) log in with the same Game Center account you'll have the same cars, upgrades, scores and unlocked seasons on both devices. Fair play: Each player may choose his preferred car (of a tier), so if you race against (a) weaker player(s) (beginner) just take a weaker car for equaling chances. Screenshot: A8 local multiplayer options (iPad "create room/Raum erstellen"; "zufällig" means "random"): For us the career mode of Asphalt is 5% of the game. The local multiplayer mode is 95%! Endless replay fun! Never the same two situations in the nerve-wracking fights for splits of seconds! In the very same room (or car, train, plane…)! The most fun it's always when all players have about the same skills. We've been playing the Asphalt series for hours, days, weeks and months, literally. I never played any video game that excessively. The longest time that I didn't play local mp was two weeks max. (Okay more than one month recently but that was a rare exception because of vacation.) I had only the chance to test A8 local multiplayer with an Apple Airport Extreme WiFi. Works flawless. 100% stable and synchronus so far. We played A6/A7 in several other WLANs: No problems. Side note (Asphalt Historic Sciences Departement): Asphalt 6: Adrenaline is the only Asphalt version where you can play local multiplayer with MACS!!! There is a Mac OS X version (link to Mac App Store). Works perfectly—even via Bluetooth—like with iOS devices only. Afair it's the only software supporting this technical speciality. iOS devices and Macs in the same race, real-time, synchronus, live! (Reminds me that I'll still have to try Asphalt 8's HDMI out with HD LCD TV.) Update: Short test with three iOS devices (iPad 4, iPad 3, iPhone 5; AirPort Extreme): Passed. Update: More playing with three iOS devices (2 hrs): Rock stable. Perfect.
Thanks Habakuk, I got some HDMI TV screenshots, it plays mirrored mode, plays well, I was at a party on Saturday night, brought my faithful 25 foot HDMI cable and had fun with it on tv with my friends. Coolness!
Really enjoying this new Asphalt, even though it's not realistic at all, but it's fun in all the ways an arcade racer should be. The IAP complaints seem to be based more on hatred for Gameloft, then any other reason that I can see. After playing for many hours since last Thursday morning, my opinion is that this is a premium game. Sure, IAP would fast track my progression, but I would rather play the game then cheat and pay.
A - Chevrolet Corvette C7. Will crush seasons 5 and 6, plus there's four or five Chevy- or Corvette specific races. The Corvette won't handle later seasons. S - Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. Will take you all the way through season 7, and some of season 8, if you can handle the car.
Anyone tried the top two A-class cars yet? I'm trying to decide between the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and the RUF RT 12 S. The Lamborghini seems far superior in every category (and is 100k cheaper) except for top speed, where the RUF absolutely kills it.
Well, they'll both end up paying for themselves in prize money, but I'd buy the Corvette first because you'll get ~60 stars out of it by the end of season 6 but only 20 stars from the FXX. That will give you tons of credits and help you unlock season 7. Then you can easily buy the FXX and get ~40 more stars from S races in season 7. In general, go for stars first.
Even if I have like 103k saved up? Go for the Corvette? I appreciate your help man and will check back in a min to see if you responded. Then I will buy it up.
