Ok,I've got an Idea,now that I've dropped my ranking to 1500(serioisly my ranking os muxh more fun ad it used to be) I'm going to race with a 1100 car when your online with the mini.
If you are after some interesting racing then you don't have to stick to the mini anymore, it depends on wether you want more points or a challenging race. If you want to I will race you in minis if you tell me when you are online
Louenn: I'm only playing MP about twice a week now (unlike others, I haven't fully given up), and usually at around 12 AM Eastern Time, so the odds of meeting you are pretty low. By the way, this upgrade hasn't completely eliminated the possibility for competitive match-ups. Two nights ago, I kept encountering ALBANIAN POWER in lobbies, but he always left when he saw me. I could have had some good races against him if he'd stayed. The real problem is how those other spots are filled out. I can still potentially face off against a talented top 100 player, but the other players in the race are usually just beginners who don't have a chance in hell. This update sucks for them too. They shouldn't have to face off against top 100 players in Minis when they are just starting out. What Gameloft should do is remove anyone from the top 100 that hasn't played in 2 weeks (their ratings would stay, of course, and they could regain their spots once they've played), just to motivate them to play MP from time to time. Because right now, it's a barren wasteland in MP, and all of the players who made MP "fair" (as in, having the same car as me and being able to challenge me) for me are no longer here.
YEP! Gameloft is Nonsense! Exactly what the other guy over there said... "HOW DARE YOU GAMELOFT MAKE THIS CAR ABSOLUTE $hit! Guys, look carefully at the $ symbol, its also 750,000 credits." Why should I spend more 750k if Biome is faster?
Sorry, I'm not going to do that. With my rating, even a second place finish is catastrophic, points-wise. I only use faster cars for tournaments and ghost-racing. Also, some tracks like San Diego (normal and reverse) and Dubai (reverse and Mirage) put you at an unfair disadvantage if you start in the back, especially with A and S-class cars, because it impacts your chance to tightly handle the turns. MP racing (or Mini MP racing in my case) is about safe consistency (i.e. not taking stupid risks unless you absolutely have to), while tournaments/ghost-racing are about attempting to execute the perfect race, taking more risks in the process. I'm happy with that balance.
I just spent 10 mins using the mini in mp and have to say it was dull and uncompetative, I can defiantly recommend just driving what you want and letting your position go, it makes MP fun, Like when you started playing it. I enjoyed racing 12cs today and came up all sorts of cars and some decent drivers, but I didn't win every race, but that was not due to being matched with rediclious cars.
Yeah, but before this new update, Mini racing wasn't like that. You had stronger cars keeping you in check.
yeah that it sort of just shot off the line didn't it? but didn't look like a hack to me though; guess we'll find out soon
I've been racing the Biome (level 3 handling, everything else at level 2), and surprisingly, instead of facing the higher B-class cars, I'm facing Survolts, Bentley's, Aston Martins, 458 Italia's etc. It's been fun and balanced. My ultimate goal is to max out the Biome for tournaments though so it probably won't last once I manage to grind enough credits to do it.
I liked the biome at that level but maxed it isn't as good as it is more prone to having a random episode, which isn't good for multiplayer.
The extra tanks were supposedly to help new players compete with experienced players wasn't it? yeah i can see how a newbie will just zoom past great players armed with an extra nitro tank
I have a love/hate relationship with the Biome. It's a wonder, but it sure can be unpredictable. I'd consider keeping it at the level it's at now. You can get some good races against the Survolts. Bump it up and you're in against a totally different class of car, not always as good of racing.
I've raced you twice on my other account with a 1100 survolt though you started in 1st place and nitroed away, ..... It is harder to keep up with minis than one would think, especially without nitro or tune ups.
I considered it but I also want to win the B class TLE's that show up. What's the best non-IAP car besides the Biome for that? I'm assuming CLK GTR based on rank but everytime I've taken a look at the leaderboards for B-class races, it is almost all Biomes in the top 100.
Yeah, seems like the Biome is top dog for B Class TLE's right now. But, if you're patient you can keep the Biome where it's at for MP, and GL will soon release another B Class car that upstages the Biome for TLE's.
What upgrades do you have on the Biome right now, DBS? Also, what's the rating on it? I haven't upgraded mine at all yet, so I'm considering matching it with yours if it's good for MP.
