This is one game I will grab... probably going to wait till Thurs tomorrow morning when I'm on a faster net connection, but I'll happily throw them $0.99 for this even if they have a free promotion later.
I played at E3, and of course the game has improved since then, but the vehicle physics felt heavier and more realistic. Also, the framerates were excellent on an ipad 4. This game will totally rock on an ipad 4, I am jealous cause I got an ipad 3. If anyone plays it on an ipad 3, let us know how it looks!
That's because it wasn't. It was set to max 30fps (it did average lower and went downwards at times after an update or two). At 60fps, it would have used up you're battery enormously fast. Physics engine is Havok so its solid. Its arcade obviously, steering in mid air for example, but it is a simply massive improvement on previous episodes in relation to its realistic reaction and handling elements. But still arcade, dramatic and a huge amount of fun. It is top notch as far as I'm concerned and easily the biggest improvement in the series ever.
Hey guys one things are there any songs just like NSF MW? I liked them in NSF. And love them in it too!
Are the physic more like Asphalt 7 or NFS: Most Wanted? The thing I hated the most about Asphalt 7 was the sub par physic compared to NFS games on iOS.
Fantastic... No slowdowns whatsoever. The non-retina part of the ipad mini shows more here than in most other retina games though. But you wont notice it once the race starts.
The physics is a nice improvement, but there are auto-piloted maneuvers which defines the game's arcade-ness like the triple barrel roll. As long as you launched correctly, there's no way you'll land upside down. That way, it's all action and no frustration, at least in that part.
Yeah, since this is an arcade racer not a realistic simulator, it is great fun having easy controls plus relatively good driving fun. The tunnels and jumping were the funnest things for me before. Though it is totally unrealistic, it is the best part of the game for me. Do you like those aspects?
