Yeah, this San Diego Cup event has lost its luster pretty quickly. I don't like feeling obligated to race 30-40 times a day just so that I can maintain my place in the top 100. I guess I'll keep doing so this time just so that I can get at least one extra tank, but if there are future multiple-day events like this one, I will bow out.
Agreed. This grind is a one time deal for me, I won't do it again. I got off to an early start and was enjoying the new track (along with restocking my depleted credits), but 4 days of this is going to be ridiculous and I'll be done with these type events as soon as this one is finished.
Although, I will say that once activating the nitro starter, it's fun running these clan fools into the ground.
Does anyone know how the starting positions are figured? I'm not kidding when I say that I always start in front. In 75+ races, I've been in either the front left or front right all but 2 times, and those two times, I was 2nd right. I'd actually prefer to just start in the back every time. That way I could not have to use the nitro starter and just race. It would be a lot more fun that way.
Yes, that was my comment after driving the car for two days. If you want to run with Survolts, you can't upgrade it too far. I got around 1330 and still had Survolts. I did focus on acceleration because the Survolts are so fast off the line. But handling will also allow you to take some difficult turns flat out the hard right in Dubai comes to mind. It can be a tricky car to handle, with some unpredictability built in much in the same vein as the Survolt.
Are you using a maxed McLaren? You should be OK with normal nitro upgrade not extra tank if you triple boost to that first left. It works no matter what about 8-10 times if you are on the front row.
This. Last night I thought "what about people who work and can't play 24h non-stop?" I'll do my best this time, but first and last...
What is your personal best with 370Z on Venice reverse? Also, I have tried to use perfect nitros more often but I get worse results xD This track is really random
Imagine how much more balanced and fun multiplayer would be if the cars were permeable for the first few seconds of MP races. The tech for that is already in the game. It happens every time your car gets back on the road after a wreck. EDIT: The more I think about it, the more I realize how amazing this idea is. I mean, honestly, it might be the best idea in the history of ideas.
Hehe oops, well if I had the mustang I would've made a video. With the 370Z it just isn't that special I think. I didn't struggle that much though, I did 2 runs and my time is 1:35:1xx. Can be much better but I don't want to try TLEs for now. I cracked my head with the Roadyacht cup hehe Edit: I made a nice run once with a single tank on Venice reverse with the corvette. Maybe this will help http://youtu.be/pliB8cEmyFI
I had some nice Races with you tonight,Stoppi, but it seems like you always Start at the front Has someone had this problem often, because it seems like I Hit the High Jump on San Diego always on the Same angle and sometimes it gets me a Perfect Löw Barrel roll and sometimes it just goes on Barrel Rolling and I wreck and normaly End up being 3.-5.,just because of that (Bug!).
Yeah, maxed P1. I haven't used the extra tank at all. I've been using the nitro starter and the tuning kit the last 30-40 races because I got so sick and tired of being knocked out before the race started. I triple boost if I'm on the left front, so I can get by the right front. If I'm on the right front, I just perfect nitro. I have no problems getting out ahead with the nitro starter, it just sucks racing without it because I'm an easy target always being in front. With the nitro starter, I win 7 or 8 out of every 10 races. Without it, I'm lucky to win 1 out of 10. It's all about the start. Once I'm beyond that, I'm not getting caught.
Yep, Running Bird suggested this waaaaaaay back when these stupid boosts were first added to the game. Just 5 or so seconds where other cars couldn't ruin your race right off the start line. I'm pretty confident that if it were going to happen, it would have by now. GL doesn't care about little things like that unless there's a way for them to make more money with them.
With work (on deadline writing a story), kids needing picked up, appointments, wi-fi down at work today, it's been nuts staying in or near the top 10. I guess one good thing is the multiple account folks might have their hands tied. If they grind, stop, grind another account, it's literally twice as hard, doesn't make that much sense. But, maybe they can somehow link several accounts to one, I don't know.
They just need to focus on one account, then clone data to others, like they always do. It does not make much sense to use multiple accounts with multiplayer TLEs, though. If this MP TLE is something Gameloft figured out to fight against multiple accounts, I have to say that it is a terrible terrible idea.
Yeah, there's not much point in cloning info for these prizes. It would be different if there was a car up for grabs. All the stuff in the rewards is easy for them to hack already. Sky Richard had two accounts in the top 100 yesterday, but it looks like he's given up on his second one now.
It wouldn't make sense for them to do it, because skilled drivers would be much less dependent on nitro starters. A lot of them probably wouldn't even use them anymore. So we're not only talking about not making more money, we're talking about making less money! The horrors. By the way, I feel your nitro-starter-related pain with regard to that multiplayer tournament. I've done a couple of runs with a nitro starter to see what difference it makes (final verdict: not worth it unless you use a tuning kit as well, you still get knocked down), but other than that, I've only run unboosted in that tournament. That means I get knocked down when the race starts almost every time, but on the other hand, trying to catch up is fun. And beating triple-boosted cars with zero boosters is even more fun. And that's what this tournament is about for me it's a throwaway multiplayer. You guys go ahead and stress out about winning those extra tanks. In the meantime, I'll have some fun trying to hunt you down.
On the Metal topic, I went ahead and loaded A8 onto my 5s to check it out. The graphics are cool, but it's nothing that I feel like I'm missing out on with iPad4. The Metal season doesn't even offer any stars or anything, it's just a bunch of preset races with 24 cars in them. Fun, but I can do without. On another note, how do some of you guys play on a phone screen??? Holy crap that thing is tiny. The buttons cover up half the screen and they're so small that I had a lot of trouble racing smoothly. I missed all kinds of drifts and nitros because of the tiny buttons. Really made me appreciate the iPad.
I will defer to you, I'm not tech savvy hence the "original" Driver 2621 handle (I have no clue how to change it).
