It's not just rain, by the way. Snow has also improved, as far as I can tell. Looks like particle effects are one of Metal's strengths. The other thing I noticed right away is that the drawing distance for stuff like ramps has gone up again on my iPad mini retina. If I remember correctly, Gameloft reduced that drawing distance drastically in the update that came after the big China update to deal with framerate issues. Ramps would suddenly only pop up at the very last minute on China tracks. Now they're back to getting drawn before I start looking for them. Everything else seems a little more detailed as well, but that might just be my imagination. Or maybe it's related to the drawing distance change I mentioned above. Oh, and those 24 car events wouldn't be possible without Metal, apparently, and I think they're hilarious. They're especially fun if you choose a slow car that forces you to stay with the pack for a while. After Gameloft fixes multiplayer (yeah, right), they should think about increasing its limit from 8 cars to 24 cars. I'm not sure if that's even possible in terms of network/sync performance, but it would be a hoot. Anyway, Metal is awesome. Kudos to Apple for making it. And kudos to Gameloft for being an early adopter. EDIT: After doing some runs in that new multiplayer cup to get to know the new track, I wonder if multiplayer will switch to the multiplayer tournament scoring system eventually, where you can never lose points. That would solve some of its problems at the expense of completing its conversion into a "whoever plays most, wins" thing. But we're already 90% there, so I actually wouldn't mind that. With a scoring system like that, where our current ranks would fast become meaningless, I might actually start playing multiplayer again.
Okay man, I will. Yes, almost the same. There are plenty of vids on the internet so mine doesn't make the difference. Anyway, I think I did the best run of my life haha. This car is going to be mine, I just did 58:269 in cup. Haven't seen/heard anyone do that...
Wow, great job, you're the man! My problem in this cup is I always run out of nitro before the finish My runs are really good and tight but that nitro.... can't go below 59.xxx :/
Thanks Yeah I know it's really hard to get under 0.59.xxx. I had many problems with the first ramp, always landed on the roof xD. The trick is to hit the ramp with your left front wheel. I've uploaded the video btw. I had nitro till the end and I didn't even hit an AI car, so city havoc is the key. Just like in the Aero cup. http://youtu.be/lOsNIFn-IQs For anyone who wants to see a funny video: http://youtu.be/3oy0rHNx7_A EDIT: I remember now I had a ~48m drift in my 58:269 run in that hard turn to the right. So it is possible to make a relatively short drift..
Amazing lap on Dubai, I will try to get that blue bottle Furthermore, 1:33.885 on Venice Reverse with 2015 Mustang: http://youtu.be/62lSATITiig Any advice to improve this time? Delorean and Atif have made 1:33.706 and 1:33.698 in the cup without extra tank...
According to the last Metal Exclusive Event for the S class. It looks like the One might have a rank of 1686.
Another extra tank wasted for roadyacht cup. this time a good run destroyed by a hard wall bump after taking that blue nitro after the jump over the water This is most frustrating when I know I am able to do better time and beat the top #1 in my division but always make one little mistake which destroys all my effort.
So... upgrading to iOS 8 is not exactly recommended for this original-gen iPad mini, even if it's possible. Oh well. How do those 24-car events play, by the way? As to the San Diego Cup, it's all about grinding, it seems. Disappointing. The weird knockdown behaviour isn't particularly endearing to me either...
You need to do perfect nitro more often at the begin and hit 1 AI car I think. Also, stay closer to the walls, it's all about tight corners. I did it this TLE with the 370Z, I don't have the mustang so it's hard so say for me. 3 things were different from the 400s run: 1. At 0:24 I did the triple boost/brake trick 2. The hard turn to the right was ~48m (from the outside to the inside). I started almost at the center of the road, same level of that green poster on the left. 3. The barrel roll at 0:42 was very tight. I landed on the road early and I could triple boost and reach a nice speed. The rest was the same
Asphalt 8 has a lot of junk files. If you just updated it, it says 1.6GB. I used Battery Doctor to clean some junk files and most of it was from A8 which has around 300+MB of junk. I played A8 again and it still works great.
OK, you are right. For an experiment, I played it a ton and all you do is grind. But it's funner because you are grinding with seven other cars, new track, fun car. But still, you just have to grind. I do like bringing an MP element to TLEs, though. It rewards decent MP players.
Good tip. It's roughly what I was thinking about doing for the Roadyacht. Also, I may be one of the few people that still has at least one 8 hour tuning kit (I've been super stingy with it). I may have more...but no way to tell.
