I think i might as well put off my ranking aside like u and Nemesis do, not really worth to fight for nowadays as GL doesn't seems to heed our feedbacks and suggestions
This is the truth. Racing minis is dull but the only way to maintain your ranking. Not caring about your ranking allows you to race te cars that you like. It's hard to let go and it hurts when you get rinsed by a triple boosted noob in a car 100 points higher than yours, because you know he will think he's the man because he beat a top player! I still can't bring my self back to mp as it is the way it is and I have a nasty feeling that if I trash my ranking GL will announce that they are organising player leagues or something similar and I will be dumped in a noob group which would be a waste of all my hard work.
No this didn't happen like this. There is a slight reduction of max nitro speed that is the same for every players/cars. This reduction is only visible if the car is maxed out. It has been made to prepare the game to one of our new upcoming AWESOME feature...
I don't even care if it's a noob or a veteran in disguise. (It feels more like the latter a lot of times.) I just don't enjoy having to participate in races that I cannot win. And that wouldn't change if I switched back to my beloved McLaren 12C or the 599XX — it would actually be worse for at least a couple of hundreds of races. Besides, I have to admit I get some satisfaction out of exploring the limits of the matching algorithm and pestering Gameloft about it. I like to think that providing feedback on my favorite part of the game is a slightly better option than simply admitting defeat. Trouble is, it doesn't affect all cars the same way. If you're using a Mini, you need your nitro top speed to compete with way faster Survolts' non-nitro top speed. That way, you can win (just barely) by nitro-starving them. (Here's an example.) It's not about admitting defeat. It's about being a peace with not being in the top 100. In the uk cups there were a few of us who compete without boosts. This makes for a fun contest but you will never be in the top ten. I have been racing your ghosts in season 9 and have worked up from the mini to the 8c so far. It's fun and can be a challenge as without boosts it is tricksy to get the first knockdown as the car in front is a ghost. You should give some of my ghosts a try.
If this AWESOME feature is the EXTRA tuning kit (of course, like the extra tank, IAP only) as suspected. I'm not sure if everyone would like it. Just think about the still ongoing protest against the extra tank.

Because of the boredom of mp now days in my Mini, sometimes I use my other account to race with my unmaxed Mini and survolt against the maxed out Minis/37zoz/scions and the like for the sheer entertainment of being a wolf in disguise.......sorry running bird , though in my defense I normally have no tune ups/nitros.
The "awesome" changes might be the ability to alter a car's settings, make it more techie. And by the way, the Biome sure doesn't appear to do the most elegant barrel rolls kind of like cow tipping.

Thanks, I only made 1 The first advantage is to get more speed and don't have to use perfect nitros. Also I could have tried a different end, using left path, taking blue and orange bottle and also the last barrel roll. However, to win time with barrel rolls you need to do these really faster and low, that is my biggest problem on Great Wall with Biome... My current best in Biome cup is 1:20.046 (2º on my division)
