Divisions? Any ideas what the Division means in the Events? I have a 'Jaguar F-Type Division Cup' Event with "1000-Player Division" above it in the 1st page.
I'm actually pretty pleased with this update. The Dubai track is sweet, but tough. Best of all, it runs smooth. China is still unreliable in that regard, unfortunately. Hopefully the China tracks will take a backseat to Dubai, and be less common in the TLE's going forward. The new season is solid as well, as it gives me some new goals to work towards. I was never a big fan of MP because it has always had so many issues with hackers, and then the boosts completely ruined it. So, having some more regular content to keep me busy is pleasing. I do agree that it's kind of lame that they have the premium cars included in the new season, but it's not a big deal. There's still plenty to do, as I've still got quite a few cars I need to max before I can play their MAX events. Overall, kudos to GL on the update.
Tell me, tell me everything you know. (Evil laugh) On another note, why is the marrusia max event behind the agera r? I was sure it was one of the original tracks. And yes, the backgrounds on the max events could really use some changing to match the race location. To the guy who asked about the divisions thing(sorry I'm on iPad and I'm not sure if multiquote works on 2 different pages, mlibbey) I think when you race, you get entered in the current not yet completed batch of 1000 racers to compete against. So far on my event, I only see one name I recognize, Elite ACE, I think hector knows him. So I think now there's a bit of strategy on when to play the event so you won't get matched with the best players.
Actually now I can sir back and wait Till the end of the new car Events and Collect them then,I'm 6th in the ssc Cup with a time of 1.57.1xx and in the jaguar Cup there's no competition,I mean there are two guys that Raced with Double Tanks,but there noobs.. So yeah my Job is done for today
...aand I've got 1390 stars. As far as I can tell, that's all the stars I can get without buying overpriced car packs or letting the fuel system harshen my mellow. But even though I'll never get all the stars, I've actually got a couple of good things to say about the update: First of all, I liked having a reason to use all my cars again. The order of the events/cars in season 9 was a particularly nice touch, in my opinion. For those who joined the party late, here's why: The cars are ordered the way they appeared in the game — every car after the Agera (starting with the Marussia, and with the exception of the Veneno for some reason) was introduced in an update as a tournament car. The grumpy veterans among us have won most of them in tournaments during those good old days I keep talking about. So that was a nice trip down memory lane, and I was surprised that I actually remembered most of the tournaments. Another thing I liked was that it was indeed possible to beat every event without any boosters. That's the way it was in the original seasons, and personally, it would have bugged me if that had changed. The F-150 event was a little painful, but considering how easy some of the other time limits were, I was happy that there was one real challenge. The money was also good. I activated one of my spare coin doublers for the occasion, and I earned more than 3m credits while playing season 9. Needless to say, if you have any coin doublers left, and if you've got all your cars maxed out and ready to go, I'd recommend you do the same. Finally, doing all those events also reminded me of things I don't like about career mode (and tournaments) — e.g., those cinematic knockdown animations that keep you from seeing where your car goes. And traffic. Oh, how I despise traffic. But that's a matter of taste. If I remember correctly, there are even people on Touch Arcade who consider those cinematic knockdown animations a good thing. So now I'll go back to racing in multiplayer and whining about extra tanks, but once again, thanks for that retrospective 9th season, Gameloft. I enjoyed that.
The marussia was a new car introduced??? Really? I never knew that, I thought the game started of with 10 of each class except s class... but then why isn't the b2 in the car collection new blood? So far I've played about 5 of the season 9 events and none of the time limits have been challenging(only tried once so far except one event but I wrecked three times haha). I've beaten all the ones I've tried by some where between 2-10 seconds with a decent run :/ But I like the idea. I'm very happy with this new update so far except the physics engine in Dubai(I've wrecked every barrel roll I've attempted, which is 2 times so far) but the new events are 5 fuel points each, which is crazy for a new event and the new cars used to be 3 fuel points.
I feel like a dope for not using my coin doubler while going through those events! D'oh! I could've used that cheese for some of the upgrades I still need (not to mention the uber-expensive Hennessey and whatever is coming soon). Totally agree with you on the knockdowns. That is extremely frustrating and I can't see why anyone would prefer to lose control and be helpless so that they can see the knockdown animation. It's especially frustrating when you're trying to thread a needle and not even intending to knock a car out. You get stuck in that moment where there's nothing you can do about it but crash.
I thought so, but I guess my memory is playing tricks on me. Was the Marussia a late addition in Asphalt 7? I might have confused the two games. (EDIT: Yes it was, and yes I did. The Marussia was added in Asphalt 7 1.0.8.) And if that's the case, then that would make two exceptions to the rule: The Marussia, and the Veneno.
From its rank, it seems to be on par with the Venom GT. It does have a nice nitro duration IIRC. It means that you will compete with 999 other players randomly assigned to the same leaderboard as you, or so I imagine. If it is, they found a workaround for people switching leaderboards, and that's commendable. At least you got to see a Veneno with a different color than normal Well damn, I don't have any of these, but my cars weren't all maxed out anyway. Speaking of that, it reminds me that I'm no longer getting my daily multiplier. It doesn't pop up anymore when I open the game, and thus I'm not getting bonus credits after finishing my first race of the day. Have I reached a limit, or is it a bug?
I'm in the R Division in the Jaguar cup, what division are you in? It says so on the cup name. I haven't got a daily bonus for 2 months or so just saying and I think that's just me, in fact, so long that I've forgotten it exists
I guess maxing out all my 66 cars (over 2/3s of which have been quite useless thus far) paid off in the end, as I was able to buy the Venom, max it out (using the free S-class rewards on the upper-level speed upgrades, of course), and still have 200,000 spare credits. So far I've only got 55 stars in season 9, so I've still got many more credits to win tonight. Also, did anyone notice the shout-out to TouchArcade in the "News" section of the game (accessible through the Gameloft icon at the upper-right corner of the main screen)?
Well, I haven't finished the race yet, so we'll see. And I think the R in the cup name belongs to the name of the car. But personally, I don't care if I don't get the car. Its handling is bad and so is its nitro duration. But I will try to get the Aero. I'm number 9, but I don't expect it to last long enough.
VENOM GT IS ON SALE FOR 1 MILLION. SO HAPPY. Now gotta win all the new cars. Wow can't believe it. The jaguar hopefully won't be that though and the ultimate aero will hopefully be fine
Oh my god, I never realized that, but I thought they gave names for all the divisions you were in... Yep, bought that as soon as I realized it. I'm 6th with no boosters in my Jaguar division ahahhahaha. So far the only good racer i saw who's name I recognize is Elite ACE
Oh man to complete season 9 I need to max all my cars. I'd reckon I'd need 15 million. So 11 short I don't see anyone I recognize in my division so hopefully that car and the aero ARE MINE lol
Dammit, I shouldn't have jumped the gun so early... Wait, is that sale for Android users only? I own all 67 non-IAP cars now, so all credits I make will go towards future cars. What's the deal with the new SSC car's rating? Didn't it precede the Tuatara and perform inferiorly? Why is it rated 1674 then?
I'm starting to lose situ in this game. I can't play the Dubai track because you need an a certain level, can't even access it through quick play mode. It's really hard to earn credits whereas in asphalt 7 and under you get nearly 100,000 credits per race. I'm nearly done with this and I really see no reason to continue playing...
