Sure! But I don't believe that the fastest car now, will be a prototype (Biome) or a "not famous brand car" (Roadyacht). Maybe the LAMBORGHINI REVENTON can be the 6th car! Hidden one!
Being honest about the update, I won't be downloading. The Dubai map looks very nice and colorful. I'm only excited about the GTR Nismo but that's not why I won't download. It's because every new update brings something too game changing or breaking. Like I said before, putting makeup on a pig. I don't want to see what the pig really looks like.
Hmm. The addition of the extra tank hasn't altered the way that I approach MP racing, except that I now triple-boost off the line on certain tracks (The Dragon's Den; French Guiana straight and reverse; Alps straight; The London Eye; Westminster Bridge) in order to avoid the threat posed by accelerating Survolts and Roadsters); afterwards, when 3/4 of my extra tank is depleted, I drift a little and activate the perfect nitro. I'll admit I'm not sure what you mean by MP as a "game of chess," or staying in the back as a strategic decision, as to me the race has always pretty much decided when the leader grabs the first crucial bottles. Granted, on a track like Venice it is possible to come back through the use of ramps, but races on most other tracks are essentially over when the guy in front of you collects the bottle, and you're left grabbing nothing but air. There are a lot more people playing A8 now than 8 months ago, so the odds of encountering someone competitive have also been raised. Again, no offense, but it sounds a bit like you're reminiscing about the "good ol' days" of A8, before there were so many different super-clans and online videos that can instruct anyone on how to run the tracks differently. Yes, you were one of the first to play the game seriously and excel at it, but other players have caught up now, and they're not going away quietly. Finally, yes, I do approach MP as a race of "fast-laps," but that's how I've always approached it, long before the extra tanks were added. Here's a list of my average MP times with the Mini-Cooper with an extra tank. Unless I'm starting at the back of the line or have to fight a little bit at the start, I produce these times roughly 90% of the time when I race. I'm not reading from notes here; I've raced with the Mini so often that I've memorized all of these average times. Nevada: 1:32.8 - 1:33.2 Nevada Reverse: 1:33.7 - 1:34.5 Alps: 1:13.9 - 1:14:5 Alps Reverse: 1:13.6 - 1:14.2 Tokyo: 2:04.9 - 2:05.3 Tokyo Reverse: 2:23.8 - 2:24.5 Iceland: 2:00.9 - 2:02.5 (the highest fluctuation here, since Iceland doesn't have many bottles) Iceland Reverse: 2:04.5 - 2:06.5 (my weakest track in terms of overall average execution) French Guiana: 1:28.5 - 1:29.2 French Guiana Reverse: 1:29.0 - 1:29.6 London: 1:33.5 - 1:34.5 The London Eye: 1:11.5 - 1:12.2 Westminster Bridge: 1:11.7 - 1:12.4 Monaco: 1:58.4 - 1:59.2 Monaco Reverse: 1:59.0 - 1:59.5 Barcelona: 1:25.9 - 1:26.4 Barcelona Reverse: 1:26.2 - 1:26.5 Temple Drive: 1:22.8 - 1:23.5 Wall Ascent: 1:22.2 - 1:22.9 The Great Wall: 1:24.8 - 1:25.4 The Great Wall Reverse: 1:24.8 - 1:25.4 The Dragon's Den: 1:25.2 - 1:26. 5 (that tricky last turns has always given me problems, regardless of which car I use) Buddha's Teachings: 1:24.8 - 1:25.5
We don't really have a choice whether to download or not download the update, right? You wouldn't be able to play MP or tournaments if you don't have access to the Dubai tracks.
None taken, and I guess I do often come across that way. But that's only because now that Turbo 343 doesn't post anymore, I have to be this thread's Waldorf and Statler. As for the times, once again, my hat goes off to your memory. As you know, I have no idea what my times are, but I'm pretty sure that they vary a lot more than yours. I often do some experiments if I can afford it, I sometimes take detours to knock people down, and depending on my mood, I like to do pointless spin jumps and drifts. By the way, regarding your super-car question: Until Asphalt 9 comes out, there will always be a faster car eventually. Anything else would equal leaving money on the table for Gameloft.
Also level 51 gives me still 3045... Did anybody encounter this kind of things before? It leaves me wondering how many credits I haven't been paid out because of this bug
Let's wait and see what you get when you reach level 55 or 60. Those rewards might be quantized and stay the same across a couple of levels, just like booster prices do.
this is from android since tuesday last week is the price at 2.5mio but nothing said about discount or something else
Thanks, I can do it most of the times now, you really need to know where to hit the ramp. But it's hard to make two rolls, most of the times I can only do one. When I started practising on this track for TLEs I also crashed a lot at that point. And yes my device is jailbroken I couldn't find a free app that does the same in the App Store. Nice song btw, I love old skool hiphop. It's a bit before my time but still That's right, but if you look close you only see the 1 amount. The daily bonus should be in the middle, but it shows a zero... Welcome to the party That's why you need to be fully boosted to play MP from now on, or you can race without an extra tank and move up 4 points while playing hours I did it to save/build nitro (I was short on nitro) and to make a sharp turn. I'm not sure if it's possible to not slide over there, maybe it is, but you'll have a bit of a wide turn I think. I do remember that you get the same amounts for a few levels, it should move up when you reah higher levels I've uploaded a new video as example for the Rookie S-class cup, I did 0:53:245 with a single tank. http://youtu.be/Np48in0R-8g
Every update for the game that has come out has been a required update to play. They can't exactly implement the new anti hacker measures that people have been asking for if the older versions can still play so server access to multiplayer and TLE's is blocked for older versions every time there is an update. API's also change with updates so its commonplace for older versions of games to no longer be able to access online features. That is commonplace for just about any game and any developer.
You know, I've been wondering where the limit for single tank Minis is. I haven't reached it yet, as winning world series points is still more or less trivial where I am now — apart from the occasional extra-tank-related setback, of course. But I suspect that at some point beyond 3000 world series points, I'll start encountering rank 1200+ Survolts regularly when driving a Mini, and that's going to be a problem. Am I right? What kind of Survolt do they make you race at 3600 world series points? I've competed with my share of double- and triple-boosted maxed-out Nissan 370Zs, by the way, but those have never been much of a problem for some reason. I guess this is one pairing where Gameloft's skill vs. car specs balancing mechanism actually works as intended. Come to think of it, if multiplayer results took single vs. extra tanks into account when calculating the points people will win/lose, I'd even be fine with racing against triple-boosted cars regularly.
Awww, can you please just download the update and see if you like it? There's always that small chance you might like the update, and if you don't, then quit. Please don't quit now just because of your fear of how bad the new update will be.
You're right. The 370Z can be a problem if it's a decent driver. The 1200+ ranked survolts aren't easy, I get them too and sometimes boosted. I also face the Benz AMG electric boosted and even a mustang 2015 boosted, sometimes a survolt rank 1160 fully boosted.
Lat night I played a little MP on my account and found it dull/annoying due to the match ups- Maxed, triple boosted, Sesto against a GTR, WTF or minis against an endless stream of Survolts driven by noobs. So I went back to my sons account and found that the racing was way more competitive but his phone is my old 4s and that makes China a nightmare as the lag is Hideous. I have enjoyed this game for the adrenaline buzz from close racing but this has been lost through the updates and TlEs don't get me excited, I hope that the update brings something to the MP that it needs to make it thrilling again. Whats your Mini cup time? No extra tank! I have done 1.24.1 so far.
I'm at 1:28:503 with zero boosters. That makes me the fastest unboosted Mini, as far as I can tell, and it equals position 225 — for now. There's no doubt that I'll drop out of the top 250 eventually, but I don't care about the awards anyway. There's room for improvement, particularly right off the starting line — drifting and knocking cars down at the same time, which you have to do when you don't have a nitro starter, is kinda tricky. If it weren't for Gameloft's brilliant idea to make the fuel system apply to cars we already own, I'd actually try to achieve a time below 1:28, if only because The Great Wall is one of my favorite tracks. And since I'm looking at the leaderboards right now, here are some other times I see: Ebc is at 1:24:565 (#37; nitro starter + tuning kit). And Public Enemy is at 1:23:353 (#13; nitro starter + tuning kit), which appears to be a pretty good time, considering how everyone around him on the leaderboard has an extra tank. EDIT: Looks like our former fellow Toucharcadian BeaArthursGhost finally dropped out of the multiplayer top 100 last night, as a belated result of what we discussed yesterday in combination with the new "the sky's the limit" way world series points are calculated. The times, they are a-changin'.
