No point playing A8 anymore. We worked hard to get credits or cars. But they got it by hacking . Sighs, GL, do something ! :/
And to think of that most of the cheating would be solved if all sensitive data would be stored on GL side and overwrite data on local device if something would differ, which would prevent cheating by replicating and restoring partial game saves... it's a such obvious solution I can't even understand how could they not implement it from the very beginning. It's a first and golden rule against cheating! And according to what Gameloft says, that it's not possible because not every player plays while connected it is total bulls**t. Because every earned coin, achievement, every car or upgrade bought could be verified after going online. This is just a matter of few algorythms which would allow to check if someone cheated while being offline or not, veryfying checksums etc. I know what I'm saying because I'm a programmer so DON'T TELL ME IN THE FACE IT CANNOT BE DONE! Because you only make yourself ridiculous
Some of the Hennessey Venom winners changed their username and looks like also moved to other clans. But there are at least 15 players that got the car illegally. Some of them with multiple accounts for sure. Gameloft only ban accounts, that's why the cheaters come back again and again. Because they can restore the device and use one of their others multiple accounts. Advance jailbreak users can avoid the restore, they just simply remove the storage data with the logs that the game leaves pasted in the device even after removed the app, then they just reinstall the game and use another account to continue playing. Apple don't allow apps that track the UDID of the device so they can't use that. Maybe Gameloft should make a combo of IP + MacAddress ban to make their devices useless, instead of only ban accounts.

Yikes! The more I read this thread, the more I want to install Asphalt 7: Heat and play that instead. It looks like A8 is really turning to a nightmare with the TLE conspiracy. I mean I have to do some monstrous grinding in career as it is, and I am a bit hesitant to do any serious multiplayer or events.

While you guys are talking serious about cheaters/hackers, trying to give solutions for this huge problem... Gameloft is playing... I mean, driving blindfolded with all of you... Ryan driving blindfolded... What a waste of time!
That would mess me up though since I sync my progress between my iPad and iPhone. Let me tell you it's a hassle since you need to overwrite the cloud save with the local save, wait for the cloud to update, and then proceed on the second device to overwrite the local save with that of the first device. If Gameloft did something like, I don't know, Supercell, then we would not have any hackers. I think that's what you meant by having the data saved on their servers, right?
I do. Those tracks were awesome. I like most of the A8 tracks as well though. Really, A8 was a fantastic game until the China update. It's been straight downhill ever since. Problem after problem, rampant cheating with no end in sight, boring overpriced cars, insane IAPs. It's just been a mess. The game has gone from being one of the few legitimate 5 star games in the app store, to barely deserving 2 stars, imo. And sadly for us, GL doesn't even care because the changes they've made are raking in more money than they were back when the game was actually great. I can't blame them, that's business. Still sucks for us though.
Looks like Gameloft cleaned up the Ultimate Cup a bit (at least the first event), I think I moved up from 110ish to 80ish (if I remember correctly). The Monaco event still has Hennessy's filling the top 40 though Also the silver lightning makes me curse a lot.. A lot a lot lol. That car is dreadful, I'd be pissed if I designed that and a game gave it this handling lol
