There is your answer to enjoying MP, Stop worrying about your ranking points and just go and race whatever gives you the most fun. The MP ranking thing is a trap that stops you enjoying the racing and you get stuck driving the same car over and over again. Never look at how many points you have won and never back away from a race, and feel free to quit a race mid way through if it is too easy
These words are filled with wiseness. My low ranking allows me to race with the P1 w/o getting shred by the competition. I really dislike what they did to MP though. You can't have fun and race fair battles at the same time, and those two together made MP quite satisfying, streak rewards or not.
Exactly! This is why I enjoy racing CLK GTR so much. It is challenging even with less experienced players. This car is a crap in MP and that's why I love it
Dark Zero, when you set that 1:06.263 with the Hennessey Venom, did you use the ramp to go onto the cabana (as in Hector's video), or stay on the ground? It's amazing that your current time doesn't quite put you in the top 25.
That's right, I'm Dutch, lol. And I've seen you also in some TLE rankings. There aren't many Dutch players I think. You're right, it depends on the track. It was Monaco, see my lap time, it's around 2 minutes. If it was Venice, I had around 1:40.xx. That's the reason why I posted this. To beat an extra tank on Venice isn't that special, but in Monaco it is. About the race, I started at the front, did perfect nitro, hit the chairs, tables and lamp posts on the right side right after the turn to the right (you'll have to drift a little bit in the turn to save nitro). If you're doing it good you'll only have to drift a little bit before the gold nitro bottle (near by the last tables and chairs). Right after that I drifted again to get that K-b guy closer, then took the middle gold bottle again. That K-b guy was right behind me, so I suppose he missed 2 gold bottles so far. And the rest of the race wasn't that hard anymore. I drifted a little when needed and took sharp turns. I also think he missed a few of those blue bottles in a row when he was behind me. You'll have to play smart if u race with the same car against a person who has an extra bottle and you haven't. Sometimes I drifted a bit extra to let him come close so that he misses the following nitro bottles
I did use that one, I'm currently around place 80. He was actually in top 25 for a short time. But our Chinese friends are pretty good in rocking these events like always...
Oops sorry went to sleep yesterday, didn't check the forums. I used a few D class car and Using Clio with Extra Tank is fun and powerful. Seems like a D class Survolt, also tried the F150 is handling is sooo dull.... Also yesterday races didn't have much fun except a couple of race with Morocco guy, that not a skill race when he was stucked behind(Barcelona) during the start of the race, and Great wall, he just came knocking my car and he was being knocked down and left the game.
So the TT S and Camaro GS are good in MP? They ae fully upgraded and boosted for that, right? I might check them out once I finish buying/upgrading all these cars for career. Anyone being "overtaken" in some career events without the AI cars even coming close? I've had it happen to me several times already. It really does get in the way of credit farming. On the topic of credit farming, which offline event pays the most at the moment?
Ah yes, the lamp posts. I can see how they'd make the difference, and I guess I'll have to start using them. So far I haven't (others yes, but not the ones right after the start), because they always struck me as an additional risk if the extra tank car manages to get next to me while I'm that close to the wall, I have a problem. But I guess it's worth it. Thanks!

I did it once but can't recreate it again in a mini, in fast cars it is easy enough to get air and a little extra nitro which gets you to the next bottle at the end of the tunnel.
It's actually MP,which pays of the most(when your level 85),but in Terms of Career Mode it's the Last Event of Season 8,in That Case it's the Lykan,which gives you around 4700-5000,if you get First.
I avoid the curb and prefer the bump in the tunnel on the right. That curb has slowed me down in some cars. But I've seen it work for others.
