No problem! Also, someone on a different site asked me about text quality differences between the ipad 3 and ipad 4, here was my response: I think you are talking about the text at the top which tells the position and laps and time right? That text is free moving, it is not static text, so that is the reason why it looks a little pixelated and fuzzy I think. It is a cool effect, but guess it leads to the pixelated text. It is more noticeable on an ipad 3 vs ipad 4. It also might be that lower end devices display things differently (lower res), so it may have to do with that too. But since it is moving and zooming text, probably that was a constraint to make the text clearer, as shown in the below picture: Like the 8, it is pixellized. Ipad 3 Screenshot below: Here is an ipad 4 screenshot below: Clearly the ipad 4 text looks alot sharper. I think alot of stuff between the ipad 3 and ipad 4 are running at different resolutions, it clearly looks so much better on an ipad 4 over an ipad 3, especially the special effects. it's tough for me to pinpoint everything, but yeah, maybe it is time for me to get an ipad 5!
Cool game. This isn't a criticism - is the visual style different to 7 on all devices? 7 was ridiculously (unrealistically) smooth but my car kinda rattles and judders along on the asphalt by comparison and the background is kinda similar. In Immersive camera mode it's all as buttery smooth as 7. Is it supposed to be like this or is my iPad 3 showing some frame rate issues in its old age? I love the game. Just curious what other people see. ie don't shout at me!
This game is really good but for some reason it hasn't quite lived up to my expectations, I'm not sure why either, I can't put my finger on what it is. It could just be that there was so much hype for this game and when it wasn't 100% brilliant it made the game seem slightly disappointing. However, this is a very fun game and I will continue to play it because it is great, just not quite what I was expecting
The iPad 3 ain't old. The mentality some people have that they must replace a $600+ device every year or every other year is absurd. Especially for some petty particle effects or slightly clearer text in a videogame. Come on.
Here's a question. I hadn't been paying much attention to the screenshots posted for various devices in this thread, but today I tried the "high" graphics setting on the Android version on my Nexus 7 after hearing that it may run better than at lower settings (unfortunately, in my case it didn't). But I was blown away by the added effects .... More motion blur when boosting, dirt particles on the windshield, etc. These are not present on the iPhone 4S. And there isn't any option to change graphics settings. So my question is are these effects only present on tablets like the iPad 4 and, in theory, higher-end Android tablets? The graphics and framerate are outstanding overall on the 4S and I'd easily take them as they are over a performance hit, but I was curious which iOS devices have the added effects.
Well I don't have that mentality. Nor do I care about particle effects. I just want to know if the game's visual style is quite different from 7 on everyone's device.
If you read my previous posts you would know I use touch controls. The iPad is too heavy to tilt for more than 5 minutes. It simply doesn't trigger sometimes. If one would change the camera curiously it affects the way it enters the drift, so it seems to me like a bug, at least for touch controls.
No online multiplayer for iPod 4? Why? I don't mind the effects that we don't get but holding back features from us that are in the description is not fair, we should have been told.I didn't notice as i thought you had to unlock multiplayer but apparently we don't get it. Changed rating to 3 stars
That's strange. I've never heard of multiplayer not being available on a certain device... You've checked everywhere?
Swiped every button down , up and across. Nothing , replayed tutorial . Nothing . Played all of season 1 and part of season 2 and still nothing. Watched videos of it on my device. They don't have it either. No online multiplayer just local.
Yes, yes, yes. Finally a racing game which delivers a challenge to win the races. I was used to winning easily all the races in NFS, Asphalts prior to this one and similar racing games. It's the first time I find it difficult to win races in general
I wasn't referring to any particular person. Attitudes and financial positions can change radically in a year.
Sorry but this one kinda staggered me a bit with the "shady" comment. Every single app, and by that I mean literally every single app on the App Store is a compressed installation downloadable file. Once downloaded, it uncompresses and installs the final uncompressed file. This is true of every single app on the store. Games show a greater difference between the installation file and the installed file. Apple has chosen to display the size of the file one will be downloading in the description for obvious reasons. This is in no shape or form "shady" practices. Its actually standard practice for just about every piece of software everywhere. It is staggering that someone would call it "shady" and imply a deceptive developer when the true case is nowhere near that.
