In Canada, the B Cup does in fact cost 5 fuel tank bars to play. The rewards are pretty good: 500 000 credits for the top 50, and several boosters for a top 1250 finish (those would have been good before the update... They are almost useless as rewards now). And you even get a free extra tank just for finishing the race.
Yep. Looks like GL pulled some leaderboard shenanigans again. WHAT?! Worldwide, the top 50 prize is one tenth of that amount, and we have no free extra tanks for finishing the race. GL, are you actually forcing people to change leaderboards by putting some insane rewards in some of them? Maybe, but breaking into the top 50 is quite easy, especially when your competition has 'the same' country as you. 5 fuel for this amount of rewards is just more than compensation IMO, it's almost a free gift.

I have a feeling Gameloft may be trying some different things out, gather some tournament statistics, for Asphalt 9. Perhaps trying to figure out how players will behave with different prize rewards and fuel costs across all the regions. No doubt to see how profits can be maximized.
In The UK the Bclass cup is 5 tanks per run, the top prize is 50,000 credits, the top 250 2xtuning kits, top 1000 1xnitro, That means you will be out of pocket if you have 3 goes at it and miss the top 50? What a crock of shite, especially when there is a car to be won with your precious tanks!!!!
Warning: Do not trust Gameloft's cloud saves A word of warning. Slightly long story to follow but the highlight is that Gameloft's cloud save could get you banned. So I have been installing and un-installing the game since release as a lot of the IAP and overall balance of the game irritates me to no end. The racing is still fun and sometimes I do want to play a game I paid for upon release which is why I am so back and forth on this title. Since release, the cloud save has usually worked. It did reset my progress once and rolled back some of my progress on another occasional but more often than not it worked fine. Since I hadn't purchased any IAPs it didn't bother me too much although losing some of the boosters I earned in multiplayer did stink. All in all it was it was. Anyway, I re-installed the game last week to see if the Mustang was able to be purchased using in game credits yet. I sync my cloud save from Gameloft's server and it showed stats from when I last stopped playing in the save game screen so I synced it. The game then loaded that save and suddenly my progress is crazy different from what it was, a ton of achievements popped up locking up my device. Upon restart, I had tons of credits and looking through the car collection I think I had all the cars too but not sure on the upgrades as I didn't check them all. My in game name was also different (Driver_some numbers) although I was still signed in using my Game Center name which was just strange and it seemed like my profile got mixed up with another player much like the garbage that used to happen with Modern Combat 4 and the problems with Gameloft Live. I doubled check my Game Center log in and it was all still the same and name in other games I loaded up were still me. In any event, I played one race, checked the store, still saw that the Mustang was $99.99 real cash and quit playing. I fired the game up the next day thinking the server would restore my previous game save and even went so far as un-installing, re-downloading, and trying again. When I start the game up after re-installing my account is now banned. So I get in contact with their customer support and after a few days they send me an e-mail and tell me to download this super sketchy program called "The Identifiers" from the app store. This app is not made by Gameloft and is made by a person with a questionable name. Not being a racist or a bigot, but it looked super shady with a website that basically looked like a scam to me and the only other app this person has made is, ironically, a cheat app. I write back to their customer service with a copy of my receipt from the app store where I purchased the game and the reply I get from them is that I still need to download this shady app and get the advertising identifier. Ultimately, I loaded the app in airplane mode and then deleted it after I got the number and reconnected to the network but seriously that app is really shady and Gameloft should be ashamed. Coupling that with the cut and paste responses to my e-mails that appears to not have been read at all makes me question if I'm actually dealing with a human. While I'm waiting for Gameloft to un-ban my account (which I now question whether or not that will actually happen) I leave this piece of advice here. Do not trust Gameloft's cloud save. While it has worked for me in the past, again, more times than the 3 instances above, the last time it didn't work, resulted in this ridiculous affair. The reason I'm so irritated is that I paid for this game. It wasn't free for me and while the game is frustrating with its broken multiplayer and terrible progression after the patches, the core racing in even just the starter Dodge Dart can be and is fun at times. With all the people on the leadersboards obviously hacking and Gameloft seemingly doing nothing about it (I have a feeling it is an automated system and these folks know what Gameloft is checking for) for the company to ban me over some nonsense that their system caused is ridiculous. Coupling that with their borderline terrible and robotic customer service, I'm really questioning this company's motives. My faith in Modern Combat 5 being truly IAP free for the lifetime of the app is questionable and I get the feeling it will be like the console version of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare where it won't launch with IAPs but they will eventually appear. Finally, what makes this even more aggravating and to be honest, down right infuriating is that I don't even have a jailbroken device nor have I tried to "hack" or "cheat" in their game (or any game for that matter). If I did, I doubt I would be here saying the stuff I have said about their in-game economy. Again, word of warning on their cloud save. Don't trust it. End Rant.
Maybe but honestly I don't remember. It was Driver and then 4 numbers yes but I don't remember what those numbers were. I think it started with a 6 but I could be wrong. I only looked at it twice (once on the leaderboards and once in a multiplayer race) before I deleted and re-installed the app hoping it was a simple sync issue and my Game Center name/game save would come back on the next sync. Sadly it didn't. Game Center works fine in every other game and I have only ever signed into GC with this one account on this iPhone. In fact it is the only GC account I have ever had. Never needed or wanted another one.
It's not a scam app. It's actually used by many developers and publishers. Its a perfectly legitimate way of getting the UUID numbers off your device in the simplest way possible. And those unique numbers are necessary if you want your problem sorted because they are part of what makes cloud saves unique. In the past it used to be UDID, which were more unique, but Apple withdrew access to those. Aren't you the lucky one. I would imagine that should demonstrate that they are in fact being proactive against cheating and removing hackers.

I'm curious, how is it exactly that they are a joke if what they have done is weeded out the cheaters and then rewarded those that missed out because of those cheaters? They could have just forgotten about it and moved on but in fact they did the opposite. Doesn't seem like much of a joke there.
