Totally agree. Dont get me wrong i dont like freemium/IAP's but in this example people are getting confused. 'In the old days' you had a game where you had to play quite a few times to say get coins to get cars to play the later levels. Thats quite normal standard gameplay. Now the second you have to race a few times to save up coins then people think its some evil trick to get people to buy IAP's. I'm no huge fan of Gameloft, BUT they've done a superb job here, its not pushing you to buy IAP's, if you want the best cars instantly then its a way for you to buy them instantly. If not just like in the 80's or 90's you have to play a lot of levels to get the coins to get these cars. If you could get the best car with just a few tries people would moan its too easy ! Poor devs cant win. Gameloft have knocked the ball out of the park with this one, hope it continues with future games. To me this is 'light IAP's'. I've played a lot and havent spent anything apart from the initial 99c to buy the app.
Okay. It's a tiny bit harder to leave drifting and go on straight ahead, but with the time I got easily used to it (and it becomes far less difficult when you upgrade handling). BUT!!! You can change drifting direction WITHOUT interruption (kind of slalom). That was NOT possible in A7for changing direction while drifting I had to turn to the left, brake a little bit, drift to the left, stop drift (nitro or brake), turn to the right, drift to the right. It's much easier now to drift sneaky curves and slaloms (but still a question of skillness). (Habakuk) Hear! Hear! I found that out pretty quickly and thought it an amazing improvement. Harder to master drifting as in 7 ,but once you get the hang of it....oh boy#
HI GUYS. only 2 of my gamecenter friends are playnig asphalt 8 and they're too weak. so please add me lerisbo1192 . or pm me yours.
@lerisbo. As such there's no Gameloft live for the friends list, they are all carried over gamecenter. The Live servers handle leaderboards, multiplayer and the like Also, I set up a thread in the add me/mmo codes section for the friends list. Just add the people in there and reference here when you send the request. @psj 100% right, couldn't agree with that more. @tso I can't find an invite friends over online multiplayer, it seems to be random pairing at the moment. I think the invite friends mentioned earlier was only over local wifi. Now I could be wrong and if I find it in online I'll let you know, but so far I haven't seen it. But it might get added in a later update also as the game will get a lot of updates. @Grace Thanks very much, that's very kind and appreciated. Oh and on the cars, for d class, the Audi S4 rocks. Bit expensive though. Cadillac ATS was enough though up until Season 4. The electric Peugeot is also excellent in B class. Will need some upgrades later but its been good to me so far. DB9 is also very good. For C class, the Lambo Urus is just a huge amount of fun. In 4th season you'll need better or be willing to spend on upgrades, but its fun factor is through the roof. The SLS is quite good also. Don't have any above A or S yet as haven't needed em. But I'm about half way through 4th season. Currently five starring the ones before that which can be done with the first level of upgrades on the cars I mentioned. I've none second level upgraded yet. If you ask Killjoy, he'll say the Camaro.
Indeed. Probably buy some coin but I have to say after looking at some numbers, if someone is starting out, the first two car packs are huge value and will leave a lot of money sitting there for later on. It won't be needed at all but there would be a big surplus for upgrades to the max or the top cars on a single playthrough. Edit. I should add that I've seen a dramatic increase in earnings early in season 4 so anybody put off by some of the prices of upgrades or cars in relation to season 1 earnings, don't worry. Its really very easy to earn as you progress and increases very steadily through the championships. More than enough to buy what you want in game.
I almost wouldn't mind dropping $10-$20 on a game like this, because I know the items I'm getting are persistent - ie, with a game like RR3 or DH4, gems ran out fast and were used indefinitely to circumvent timers and such. Here, once you've bought your rides and upgrades, that's it.
Yes, this game is awesome. I might get the D car pack iAP at some point (as Id rather get that than coins)
That actually would be the best choice. I made the mistake of buying too many D cars to this point so its value for me is low but if you only have one or two D cars, definitely worth it.
Did just that. I do this a lot for games I feel are worth more than I paid, only fair in my eyes. This could have been an easy $40 if I bought it on the Vita.
I haven't liked many racing games, Pursuit and Riptide being the exceptions. But, THIS game is absolutely incredible. The price point is unbelievable for the gaming experience we get in return. Best racing game, thus far.
