I wonder - would a professional driver become frustrated by the lack of realism in arcade racing games (being unable to translate his real life skills to the game) or would he be delighted at the sheer lunacy of the driving?
Could somebody post a screenshot from the canadian leaderboard in one of the cups? Please S-cup and Merc-Cup. Im playing in the US and it's really tough. Im only on place 540 in the s-class cup with a maxed lykan and no boosters;(
I'm on my laptop (and I don't think I have any technology on my iPad that would allow me to take a screenshot), but the first place time here (Canadian S Cup) is 1:02.304. I'm in fourth with 1:02.613. There are currently 20 players under 1:03. It's probably going to take at least a 1:03.8 to finish in the top 50 and get the Mustang. There are surprisingly few Chinese players this time around, at least for now. You need those boosters (well, maybe not the extra tank; the biggest benefit of that booster is eliminating the need for that early barrel roll). They don't make as much of a difference here compared to a track like Monaco or Tokyo, but they matter. There are a lot of players with very similar times in this particular cup. I've never understood why some people race in cups without the nitro starter and tuning kit boosters. Why? What does it bring you, aside from an inferior time and overall placing?
it could be because they dont have any, or they dont really care about the top prize or know they wont get it. the really top players in android sometimes race without a booster(usually the extra tank) because they know they will still get the top prize, they dont care about getting first
Well, although these updated booster prices are annoying, the one positive aspect they do have is that their durations are tailored for cup racing. 17,500 credits (22,500 if you have to buy a second nitro starter) for 15 minutes/roughly 10 tries (I usually abort 1-2 of them after bad starts) is an accurate representation of an average cup racing session. There are currently about 10 players in the S Cup tournament with unboostered times of mid 1:05s/low 1:06s, sitting just outside the top 50. If they ran with boosters, I'm pretty sure they would kick out some weaker players who used all 3 boosters and who are barely beating them. This is to win a Mustang that they likely don't own. I just don't understand them.
To take a screenshot on an iDevice, click the power button and home button at the same time. I am quite surprised that an ardent iDevice user does not know this. Wow.
and im pretty sure for android devices, at least on my nexus 4, its pressing the power button and the volume down button
Caramel Frappuccino just went 1:01.884 in French Guiana with the ME412. It's definitely the fastest car available now.
I'm going to take some time now to complain about not getting to switch countries willy-nilly anymore. Who cares? Gameloft obviously doesn't actually care, because they could automatically assign every player to their true country using IP address if they wanted to. So it's not that we have to play for our real country. It's just that we aren't allowed to switch countries to play more tournaments. I wonder why! Because we'd earn more credits that way. Nothing would be worse than being able to earn enough credits that I'm not tempted to buy credits using IAP. Especially since nitro start now only lasts 10 freaking minutes, enough time to recharge one fuel. Shameloft, lameloft, I'm not sure what the best term is, but your business model clearly shows that you have no respect for your customers. Perhaps you hope to profit off of children who don't understand the actual value of money charging their parents' credit cards. I don't know. Ryan, Fabien, I know these aren't your decisions so I'm not going to direct my anger at you specifically. But you most likely know the people who do make these decisions. It would really make my day if you could ask them some questions, like "Would you personally pay $100 to drive two cars in a video game?" Or "Would you personally pay $1 to recharge imaginary fuel?" If the answer is no, then I can only conclude that they have no respect for the people who they think will actually go along with this nonsense.
On Canadian leaderboard I would be first with this time hehe http://youtu.be/9wiVmUJwrxM Have you improved a bit right? Now you are 14th, but atm exists a big difference between 13th and me (12th)
Nice time, I haven't even tried for this tournament but now it sounds like a challenge lol. I will beat your time and get back to you just for the lulz As for the SLS AMG GT, I didn't try either and that time was with a terrible start (2 ai got directly in front of me causing me to crash head first into them. After I beat your time in the S Class tourney I'll get on getting ahead of you and getting that car ;P There is a big gap and I plan on removing it haha Ugh I hate the fuel system, I don't even bother much with tournaments anymore....
Actually, the leading time is now 1:01.884, but it was set by someone using a ME-412. Hmmm... When I was racing in the tournament, during the section with the overpasses, I was triple-boosting and getting both the blue and gold bottles, rather than just the gold bottles like you did. I also didn't need to do a barrel roll, probably because those extra blue bottles helped fill up my two nitro bars. But I'll try your way your next time. This Open guy managed to go a 1:02.184 with the Lykan back when there was only one nitro bar. He collected the blue and gold bottles like I did, but his car's lines were ridiculously tight throughout the entire course.
Excellent driving! Did you compare times with the route in which you'd jump on every road down to get every nitro bottles and keep the most straight line through the serpentine?
Thanks I can try that method, but he wins me at first too... I get the 2nd blue bottle after drift at 16.566 and he gets it at 16.347. I lose 200 millisecond at start, so with his start and my end 1:01.9xx possible Comparing both videos I can see that he excels me at toner by 100 milliseconds, and sure I lose another 100 at drift...
oh great, now that victor potrehu guy has switched to canada, he's first in the mustang cup, thats another "canadian" like Driver driveR to contend with
