I can promise you this...that will not make me respond faster :p

I feel like we should have some form of 21-gun salute. It's been a pleasure seeing you up on the leaderboards and learning from you here on TA!

I've shared my feedback internally. I also appreciate the generally constructive feedback that's come out here since this update went live. It's way easier to cite posts that aren't just profanity filled rants when you're looking to create change.

EDIT: BTW, I will be streaming Asphalt 8 today on Twitch @ 2PM PST. It will just be me on the stream, but I think some of the team might be watching/reading chat. I can't make any promises, but feel free to stop by. www.twitch.tv/gameloft

Try the zonda r or urus. I had some good fortune with those the other day.

Ryan if you are looking for some constructive criticism. . . Please find a way to leverage the most skilled members of your community to your advantage. Right now they all seem angry or depressed.

Heck you could fill out an entire tournament of Tano clones just racing against himself . . .

You probably won't be losing me anytime soon. And if I'm being honest, you shouldn't expect to lose Turbo or RB. They are both still going to be in the forum as far as I know. The community is only going to get stronger :)

Welcome Dlusion. I have great respect for you every since the first time I played you (sometime before the China update). Every time we race, it's always a close match or a dog fight. You are definitely one of the best drivers I've played against.
Trust me, he pays attention to the concern from us. But you have to remember, there is only so much he can do.
Thanks for the support :) too bad you and Turbo couldn't be apart of it with me.

    RS4 nitro start

I was wondering if you guys knew how that crazy RS4 acceleration off the line works. I tried triple, perfect nitro starts and no luck:confused:
I always liked the Survolt more honestly.. But sometimes I get matched against RS4 and they just rocket off the start line picking up key nitros and I'm left running dry and I just have to make up for it by extremely precise cornering...
    Cheers:)

You might want to actually look up their corporate structure and history before making that kind of statement because I can guarantee you 100% that will never happen.

The same family (or two brothers to be more specific being the power despite many family members on the boards of both companies) also founded and own Ubisoft (along with Gameloft) which is still the third largest independent game publisher in the world. Each brother runs one of the two companies that they co founded.

EA and Activision Blizzard may be ahead of Ubisoft on the big three list but we are already talking about the big boys with that big three list anyway so, no, they will never get taken over by a bigger fish and shut down. Ever. They are already the Big Fish.

Activision don't particularly care about mobile all that much just yet (though they are making moves) and, well, we all know EA (who by the way are in the process of adjusting their freemium models) and the Guillemot's won't ever need to or want to sell Gameloft to either company.

The Asphalt community is losing one of its most outstanding members, and a technicality like this is what you want to discuss? Alright, I'll give you two examples:

In 2000, Motorola was a pretty big fish with the StarTAC and all, while Google wouldn't even do their IPO for four more years.

Around the same time, Infogrames was a pretty big fish as well — I remember their games well from my Atari days. In early 2014, after more than a decade of partial fish eating and declaring bankruptcy in 2013, the renamed Atari, SA had a staff of 10 people in total.

I obviously don't know how long Gameloft will survive, but it's a risky business. The kind of fish that will eventually eat Gameloft might not even exist yet. I do think that we're at some kind of tipping point right now, though: Over the last few months, we've been witness to their choosing to alienate their most loyal customers in the name of short-term profit. They are in the process of destroying what could have been a great legacy.

And you'll cheer them on, while I don't think history will be kind to them. We'll see. :)

Asphalt 8 - Exploring the NEW Update!

Can someone tells me what he said?
He said something about New Tracks or the missing Lap on MP?

    Just curious about this "exploration"...

Well, you actually brought it up yourself with this
So there's no point in directing your anger at me for something you brought up. I merely replied to your post and anything I've to say to Turbo, I'll say it to him myself. I'm confident we will see him again so I'm not going to get all dramatic about it. Communication with him has been very enjoyable and I certainly don't wish to see an end to that at all.

I will give you one piece of advice though.
You might want to reign in the rage a little bit.
There are people in the background trying to effect change.
They do use the feedback generated here and other places to reinforce the need to make those changes.

And posts from people that wish for Gameloft to be taken over and shut down do not help the case.
So if a change is something you desire, you will need to find a different way to express it because
You may not have quite down the road of profanity but the rage is certainly there and wishing them closure doesn't exactly help.
Why would anybody do anything for anybody who wishes them the worst?

Of course, you can take that advice or leave it and continue to wish Gameloft the worst but the thing is, it just means your posts are not going to contribute to those putting forward the case and who are genuinely attempting to get changes done.
    The choice is your own.
    :)

Hey man I just played an hour and lost 5points and gained one. It's really frustrating the number of games I play and get no points. I'm still playing the mini.. But would be willing to try anything B class and under where there is decent competition

I'm trying to figure out something that will keep me interested. I normally use a different car, lose a few points, get mad and play with the Mini.
There is no decent competition because the Survolt (from stock to maxed) beats anything. So late D class to Mid B class is getting dominated by Survolt. Only ones I can think of (because of their rating) is Challenger and Maserati.

found a new hack. I was in a P1, next to a sesto with exactly the same speed. He touched me softly and I immediately got wrecked. Happened to me twice today

Yea, once a player got to 1700+ Is hard to get a point, unless there is someone who is 1300 and above. I played Survolt nowadays but still not much thrill in that...
I tried Shelby, but got crashed and knocked out so i left the game(ended up a -10). Maybe i should play with C class for the time being, btw i thought u like FAST CAR:D

I do, my main car before the china update was the 599xx. It's just that any fast car isn't viable anymore since they get outclassed by cars in S class if it's rank is 1480 or higher. I don't like using the Tuatara as much because the matches are too inconsistent.

Right now, I try to use the Challenger. It's good most of the time.

Dark, I think they can do more than just listen (Gameloft that is, not just Ryan or Fabien). They've got great players that voluntarily do tutorials, attempt to host online events stream performances, and otherwise push people around them to do better just by virtue of their skill in play. Give them a platform through online tournaments and events to promote the game. Running them off is the opposite of what Gameloft should want to do, at least as far as the long term brand value of the Gameloft name is concerned.

Maybe the game is too far into its maturation cycle for such things to be immediately profitable. There are probably a lot of people out there with large hordes of credits, so it was probably getting hard to goad players into buying credit packs for boosters etc.

One example would be to sell event tickets for a chance to race the best. Give a few players at least partial immunity to ranks loss (say if they finish top 3) and charge fees of 10-20k for players to line up and race.
Or, charge escalating grudge fees to players who want to get revenge on someone who beat them earlier: a grudge ticket would cost more each time you bought one and give you login times, cars used, and other multiplayer data so you could hunt someone down and race against them again(if the grudged player refused to log in, they might lose rank for being absent).

I would grudge the heck our of Mia rosa winkler just to get her to race or lose rank.

On a side note, had moderate luck with the urus again, but it's getting a bit worse. The zagato has been coming through well for me, though.

I know what you mean. It just means you haven't played any fully boosted Survolts yet. I was doing the same thing as you (I was even calling my 370z the "Survolt killer") but then I started playing against a different breed of Survolts and I haven't used it since. The same thing that is happening to the 370z is happening to the 2015 Mustang.
Your ideas have interesting propositions to them. But things like forcing someone to play isn't a good idea since that will encourage them to leave the game. Paying to play against the best is a idea I had for a upcoming console car game. I see it as sending challenges to the players (in this case, the best) and will force the highest ranked players to play more instead of sitting on their rank. That's a good idea. Most of this though would never happen because it seems Gameloft already has what they want to do in mind.
