Yup, same here. I haven't played Asphalt in approximately a week, and I'm not sure I'll come back. As of now, I prefer cruising through Ganton in my Remington.

But there's even better news: Considering the way they treated Asphalt customers over the last few months, I consider it highly unlikely that I'll ever spend another dollar on any Gameloft product. So I'd also like to thank them for saving me money.

Look at the top 100 in the new cups
In the chrysler cup 70 participants
In the mustang cup only 50

The ones who won the car and the ones who took advantage of the credits bug.

    Business going down for gameloft.

The best of it: the fuel tank is supposed to be for the new players who dont onw the car, but in this tourney, fuel tank is unavailable.

    Hey Ryan, Fabien

We should make a group and do a online petition which mentions that the developers forgot to add the buy now button with in game currency for the new cars.
There must be somekind of mistake with those huge prices and the missing buy now buttons with standard ingame currency. It is offending for those brand names not to be able to purchase them with standarg ingame currency.

I bet if we all from toucharcade establish a group and contact the PR department of Chrysler and Ford they will have a word to say about these huge prices.

Even the lykan, which is a exclusive car, and has signed a special deal with gameloft is offer with standard ingame money.

This is such a rip off.

In multiplayer , the new Mustang gets matched up against Survolts, Maserati, Aston Martin DB9, and Lamborghini Countachs mostly. It beats every car fully boosted except loses to the Survolt boosted (who would have guessed?). So it's comparable to how the 370z plays in multiplayer. Speaking of that, an amazing matchup online (if it ever happened) is the 2015 mustang vs Nissan 370z vs Audi RS 3 and all of them maxed out

I left this game around December as I thought the IAPs were getting a little ridiculous and super freemium then (even though I paid for the game upon release). I re-installed this game to play the new Mustang as not many games have it yet (Need For Speed Rivals is the only other game I know of that has the car available) and holy crap has this game gone to complete freemium nonsense.

I hated before that unless you were maxed out and were using tuning kits and boosters there was no way you would place in the tournaments. While the fuel system negates that partially for those that aren't quite as dedicated, the people that pay to use the boosters still will and continue to dominate. How can Gameloft make a partially good decision (though people that own the car shouldn't be charged fuel) and yet still make it money based and super shady?

The rest of the stuff like the broken multiplayer, absurd in game currency costs on cars, and stupidly overpriced IAPs have been harped on already just by reading the past few pages but what irks me the most is that this game is basically best car wins. Sure the estimated top 1-2% where the milliseconds count provide some great competition, the fact that the barrier to entry to that is gated by actual money is a crime that takes away from the actual game itself.

The one bright note is that the game is still fun to play but the hopes of ever being competitive in multiplayer or the tournaments is now lost on me as I'm never giving more money to this game and the rewards for the past couple of tournaments has been kind of poopy. Although earning credits without having to spend any was a surprising twist on Gameloft's recent decent into the dark IAP sinkhole.

People talk bad about RR3 but that game is pretty up front with what will and won't cost real money. Never did I feel tricked or deceived as everything is listed upfront. Asphalt on the other hand keeps constantly taking the power of the player and the player skill out of the equation replacing it with real money. Even the career payouts have decreased significantly which is crazy. They decreased the reward/participation credits even if they didn't truly decrease the payouts for placements (but it appears those have lowered as well).

Anyway, I'll more than likely uninstall this train wreck after the Mustang is released to the world for credits and I can't afford it without a ton of grinding. Sad as, again, I really do like the racing and driving overall. Multiplayer is borderline stupid now and the crap shoot that is the initial starting grid typically determining the outcome of the race before it even starts is just not fun. Combining that nonsense with the insane loads and super short races and the multiplayer is just not for me. It's too much of a time sink without anything to show for it.

While I'm still looking forward to Modern Combat 5, I get the feeling that game has some nefarious stuff going on behind the scenes. I know they have said no IAPs, but I am still hesitant to believe that given Gameloft's recent releases there isn't something else they are going to charge for. It'll probably be marked as DLC or something of that nature.

It has value. In D class tournaments (since it is the highest ranked car) and if you avoid boosted Survolts in multiplayer.

All of you mention the bug, but nobody says how to get the bug to work...

In any case, unless there's a discreet "cash grind automate-r", knowing how to do it would be rather pointless in my opinion...

But there isn't a way to know that someone in your lobby is either a) a Survolt or b) boosted, right?

It's just a matter of time that Gameloft fix this bug, they already fixed the price of 2 from the 4 new cars.

It's obvious that quite a few of those Open guys are hackers. They don't hack to give themselves advantages when they race (it would be far too obvious), but they do when it comes to unlocking cars/getting free credits.

I don't believe for one second that Gameloft would allow such a bug to occur. How convenient it is for the Open guys to "discover" this bug mere hours after two tournaments involving these outrageously priced cars begin. And if this bug is so easy to spot, why aren't any non-Open players showing up on the leaderboards? Not only are the Open guys sharing videos amongst themselves, they're now teaching each other how to hack the game.

Am I also supposed to believe that the majority of Open players have over 8 million credits to spend on buying and maxing out these cars? They hardly ever play MP, which is still by far the best way to earn a lot of credits.
