Hey there Sub, you not crossed over to the dark side have you, or now known as OpenZ3roo ? Stoppi - you nailed it with your last point. The game does not seem to feel comfortable anymore. The looming timer seems to keep you on edge and not allowing you to really let loose on the track. Also if you make a mistake at the start you now have to continue as you cannot restart without loosing further 3 fuel bars. Waiting for the bar to refill also throws you off the game jumping from TLEs to MP to make use of the booster ( two different formats ) Hector - good running with you tonight, your driving skills are sharp!
Hey there Junkman, great time, however from experience that's too close for comfort as the heat will come in the last 24 hours as ppl will try to save boosters until necessary. IMHO you need to be pos 30 and under in current time to stand some chance. Keep nudging at the time to see if you can get it faster. Good luck!
Are there any situations when you would rather use 1st level nitro than Perfect or Triple Nitro? Does the longer duration with a small speed boost ever lead to any increased distance traveled over the entire duration of the 1st level nitro? The car is also easier to handle when going at a slower speed, I've also thought of.
i dont think so, because the 3rd level nitro is just too fast and usually you never run out of nitro if you use the first level, which usually means its too much if you want a good time, it doesnt really matter about how good the handling is on the car, its all about speed and for turns, just drift and nitro
I think I have about the same maybe 5...but I will save them for another day or car tourney. I might run the Chrysler event one more time tonight and then I will be done with it and will not run the Mustang at all. This so far is really the only thing I can say I dont like...and at that it is when I am using a car I own that bugs me the most. The car tourneys require you to have a massive amount of time or money to wait for the refill or buy it, you cannot run at the top with q fair amount of runs and that kills me since I have about on average an hour a night to run. The last tourney with the Pagani at the apls I ran it for 10 minutes and that was all because of that timer......But it all good, if I am not at the top anymore I will be okay My best advice on nitro usage is this. While under boosters I triple starts and or areas that I know I will get to a jump, corner quickly to aid me turning it off for me so to speak. Now if I am in multiplayer and out front with a lead then I don't use it at all. But in a tourney it can be (track dependant and car dependant as well) very usefull...and is a tactic that has its benefits for sure. On the note of extra speed... it gives that but it is short, it is like an over boost but it will fall back and not sustain a faster speed than say a perfect nitro for long at all. It is a losing battle with the overall life of that nitro charge and I don't recommend it. Double tap, triple tap, perfect after several seconds they are all the same but the first two use up reserves faster therefore no the best plan. the place in TLE's that triple really shines or can move you up the board is triple's used right before I jump...you can sustain much faster air speeds doing this and there for some map in some cars you can not run it faster by taking a shorter path rather than jumping jump to jump and tripling them when you are close enough to do so. Barcelona is the best example of this at its best/worst depending on how you look at it. But run with this in mind you can run it around .5- 1 full second quicker than just running a tight perfect line the whole way around. Now as said in line 1...when boosted this is my practice but if I am not then I become a bit more careful where and when I implement it or if... LOL....later on
^ This. Stoppi, you've hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately, I don't think GL pays attention to guys like us, no matter how much love we show this game. So, for the benefit of their strategy team, I'll outline our value: 1. Free focus groups: every post to the TA boards comprises a comment from a focus group. Lots of companies pay for user feedback, but GL gets it here, from us, for free. 2. User testing: GL no doubt pays for user testing. But the testing environment has limits. If you want to determine what issues arise when a hundred experts take the game to its limits over thousands of runs and hundreds of race-time hours, then you come here and read our feedback (again, for free). 3. Quality control: See above. 4. Marketing: When Asphalt is great -- which is a lot of the time -- everyone on the TA board extols its virtues. We extol it here, we extol it on the app store pages, and we tell our actual, real life friends to download the game (I'm personally responsible for at least a dozen DLs). Add up points 1. to 4. above, and you have a pretty valuable long-term resource. But I don't think GL, to our ever-lasting dismay, will play the long game any more.* * All of the above is written by someone who has never given GL a penny. I hope some player who drops coin on IAPs comes here and expresses their disappointment. After all, considering the service we provide via TA, IAP buyers have a double beef. At least.
So, will gameloft consider making it easier to obtain credits in the next update? That would be nice. I've literally quit due to large paywalls that either require large grinding or the purchase of much hated IAP's.
I'd bet 500-750k the Mustang and 1.5-2m the Chrysler ME412. Since the SSC Tuatara, GL's strategy is to include extremely expensive cars to the game (both cars and upgrades) to get people to buy $$$ IAP's or car pack IAP's. I think the price of 1 fuel to race events of cars you own is so that we can't grind excessively the online events. I remember playing for hours in the 1-minute races of the online events and winning 3.5k per 1-minute race. That meant 70k/h (taking into account time taken to get back to menu and restart the race). It also allows GL servers to have less charge of people playing at the same time. Maybe this has helped to get the game more fluent, less. Crashes, etc. On a side note: can you transfer savegames between iOS and Android versions? I'm thinking about going back to Android when my 4S breaks completely, but I don't want to lose a year-worth savegame.
Hi just found this forum, it good to see some of the decent drivers on here. I have been racing as FDVJ, DRIVER 666 NEMISIS, YOUR-RANKING-IS-WORTHLESS, and Open [] is a cheat, all under the same account but changing the name regularly to stop people avoiding me
Stoppi or Anyone... What is a single player event that isn't in the update? I don't know too much about this game. Actually, my kids play it on my device! And should it update it or not? Thanks in advance!
The decent players should find some unloved car and only race that without any nitro packs, tuning kits or double nitrobars, It would make for fun racing without having to PAY to be competitive. I am going to use up my freebies then destroy my ranking like I did after I got pissed off with the last update. Its more fun when you don't care about your ranking.
LOL, i did cross my mind before, dropping to rock bottom. But i can let off my hardwork Sidenote: man! I dropped to no.52,
I think you might have misinterpreted the part about no new tracks or single player events in the update. I didn't mean that the update takes out any tracks/events out of the game. So all the single player events that are in the game before the update are all available after the update as well The update before this one introduced a few new tracks and with those tracks came new single player events that took place on those tracks (they are all the way on the bottom of the seasons). I was hoping for something similar this time. It is nice when an update actually gives the players new stuff. This update only introduces constraints on the already existing content by giving us timer on TLE's, a new pay-to-win mechanic (the double nitro tank), nitro and handling boosters duration have been lowered hugely (hardly any changed in their prices though in comparison), the importance of driving skill in multiplayer plummeted by cutting most races in half, you can't change your country anymore so you have access to less TLE's. I can go on.. The list of measurements Gameloft has taken to put limits and constraints on their own game is really long, but actually deleting single player events luckily isn't one of them.
Despite two early disconnections which dropped me to 1490 points, my first gaming session with the extra tank was shockingly fruitful. Less than 3 hours later, I had moved up to 1568 points (in spite of one later disconnection). Your results on Barcelona and especially Alps/Alps Reverse are much, much faster with the extra tank. I managed to go 1:12.8 on Alps Reverse with the Mini-Cooper, which would have been impossible with a single tank. And on the Barcelona track, the extra tank allows you to completely avoid having to drop down to the beach area to fill up your nitro.
