Just give it a couple of weeks, man. The majority of those drivers have all received 7-8 free extra tanks. I doubt that they've had to spend any money on them at this early point. Didn't you get any as well? Even though they mess with the integrity of the game, I certainly intend to use the free ones that I will get.
- Yea for car collections. Unexpected, and cool idea! (why no similar rewards for achievements?) - Big Boo for fuel costs of non-renting tournaments. - Think I'm a yea for fuel in renting tournaments. Before I'd run once or twice max in them, cause I knew there was no hope of recovering the rental fee. Its kinda nice to be able to run them more times now. - Boo for only single lap MP. Liked the 2 lap every now and then so that a knockdown might be recoverable. - Boo like others about the extra tank. That'd change to a yea if it were credit buyable. - Boo to the too severe booster price increase. Perhaps 2x the current time or 1/5 the current price? - Surprised the update didn't include additional achievements.
@dan't Panic How much do you think will the chrysler cost? As I mentioned earlier, the chrysler/mustang pack costs 100$. I started a race today and when I got to the booster selection screen, the double credit booster cost 5$ And the price change in the credit packs are also irritating, sometimes the older prices appear and sometimes the new ones. Edit: Ahaha, ridiculous that the game runs better on old devices according to Fabien
Man... )) After this punch (aka last update) I "made" no more guesses... But I don't see S class cars costing less than 1 million, because Gameloft is hungry!
I got about 8 free Extra Tank from the Garage Collection Reward, so i'm going to enjoy the "special" thingy introduced by GL for as far as it goes. But i don't really see experienced driver need those Extra Tank... So i should use a iphone 4S to play instead? I mean after this update it lag much more then before the update, i will contact the Customer Care Team
Gameloft has taken something that was relatively simple and made it much too complex to care about, let alone ever enjoy. It's like Asphalt 8 was left under a hot sun on the dashboard of life with the law of diminishing returns and the entire thing melted into an unrecognizable, oozing mess. It was the only video game I have ever played because it was the first one that made sense to me. It was so simple: make car go fast. #bored2tears
im fine with the update except 3 things 1. the boosters, why are they now 15 min and cost so much? the old way was much better 2. the extra tank booster, you say that will help the novices, well not really because the veterans will use it too and now, you have to pay to win a tournament it also makes the game require less skill 3. the fuel thing is great, but i would like it if i didnt have to spend fuel for a vehicle i already own and be able to play a tourney multiple times in an hour, not 5 times 3.5) im pretty disapointed that you are making the people winning the car so low, i would like it if it was top 500- top 2000 i have a question, i know that new cars are first offered in a tourney, then released in the garage, but since some of new cars are in those 50 dollar packs, will we get to buy those in the garage if we dont come top 10 in the world?
I guess that's what most of the extra tank racers tell themselves: "I would win anyway, so me using a freebie that non-veterans would have to pay for with cash isn't unfair." You'll see once you run out of free tanks while others have some left. You'll still win most of the races (even against extra tank racers, especially on tracks like Nevada or French Guiana, where there's plenty of nitro), but you'll often come in second after people you would have defeated before the introduction of extra tanks. They'll knock you down as soon as your nitro runs out after the start of the race, and you'll suddenly understand why Gameloft changed multiplayer to single-lap races across the board. Oh well, enjoy the power of the dark side.
FYI this is all in good fun Well in my defense...lol...It was late after being up for about 18 hours..and then there is the acclimation period for us all and I am no young puppy here so mine might be longer....ya know gotta charge up my "little rascal"...lmao It takes me a little bit to think through the maps differently knowing/forgetting that there is that much nitro in the tank is proving to be a hard adjustment for me I guess. Not to mention the route it self...now that one is easy for sure...but when you have trained your brain for months to turn right at the "X"...then you turn and look left and go ahhh. $oot...man...Oh that will be one run down then. The fuel deal will sure make it much much harder to work on the tops spots in TLE's for me and others too. Because make no mistake my brother...I had many runs in on a fair amount of these events not just 15 min. and bust out those times. It happened now and then but not much overall. Now for the folks that can play a lot of hours in a day it will not affect them as bad as folks like me that can only run an event maybe 2 hours at night sometimes only 1 hour. But now that mean 6 runs if I am lucky...Better tighten my belt and stay focused...I dont think AARP covers Asphalt 8 accidents I am adapting man, and it will be all good. Edit: Funny thing was a China driver came into the stream last night and after two runs was telling me how to run it....I wanted to be like... man OMG I just uploaded this update plus that was round two in a car that can now run in many different directions/routes given the nitro load in the bay rather than the old stuff bro...give gramps a break here
This makes me wanna accumulate more nitros when i finish those free Extra Tanks. As most Toucharcadians said, Pay-to-win, i must really agree with them! This game isn't as fun as the old time smh
Music today Off topic for a second...what kind of music is what you all like to hear? Give me bands and a song from them...I am going to add music to at least the start of my stream and need to know what is good for everyone or at least give me an idea of what is hot now...I am an old country guy along with some rock...and love me some Brantley Gilbert but I am not sure how many others would listen to a couple of those instead of leaving the stream before it even starts...lmao Thanks you all!
