I can't update the game because i'm in a vacation Soo.. Can someone tells me what's goin on in this new update What kind of events where added?
Just updated Asphalt 8, what do I think ? To some extent I agree with Darks comment and not say anything however i am compelled to write a few words... Before I say anything, I want to mention that I understand people play this game for different reasons therefore this is only my view. First of all thank you GL for the update - I am sure the the maintenance and the upkeep of a no 1 game is no easy job. The new cars are a welcomed addition as they will provide new a new challenge on existing tracts. Also, owning them provides a great sense of achievement whether they will prove accessible on various formats, MP, Tourneys...etc is yet to be determined. No more rental fees - great as many people will now be able to participate and enjoy the game further - also shows that you have listened to suggestions. Game achievement rewards - this was hugely missing in previous updates and this is highly appreciated. More countries and country lock down - necessary and understand the need for this. Also this will provide a fair platform to really strive for success to fairly represent your country. Now..... ( I have always provided constructive feedback and alway been fair on this forum, but please allow me to express my viewpoint in a manner that does justice to how I am feeling at the moment ) Extra Tank / Booster changes ( cost / duration ) - WTF ?!?! WHY GL ( still, a watered down outburst ) ( regaining composure ) There is a saying " if it is not broke DONT fix it " and this is something that GL need to understand. IMO - the extra tank / and booster changes has just altered the beauty of this game. I love A8 because it makes you think, to plan routes, plan strategy to win, NOW you have turned this into another COMMON arcade racer. Tourneys will change, before, you would have to plan best route depending on the car and its nitro capacity, you would have to consider flats spins, nitro management and stratigic jumps. NOW - just arm yourself with extra tank and select shortest route to WIN. What ?!?! where is the pride and challenge in that? Personally I feel this is a cheap and dirty way to fix the MP issues. Why spend countless hours calculating complex formulas to make MP match making and scoring balanced - Just give newbies extra tanks to make it fair.... how is this building skills..? Why spend on new technology or time to tackle the ever growing hackers issue, just make available an extra tank so that players can keep up with hackers.... All of which will cost money... I agree with Running bird, it will become " pay to win " oppose to ' play to win ' There were so many good points in this improvement however this unnecessary change has changed the concept of the game. I am truly disappointed GL, really, what were you thinking.
I can confirm this. Im playing on th 4S too and it doesn't lag anymore in MP. About the boosters: It's actually a ripoff, but for me it's good. I never use boosts in MP, only in TLE's, so I have to spend less money for the same benefit.
And we're glad you did. I agree with everything you've said here. But I'd take that last criticism regarding the extra tank a bit further, so Gameloft can get the message at first glance. Here goes: IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE RICH, YOU MAY NOW DOMINATE ASPHALT 8. Conversely, if you are not rich, prepare to be dominated. As with life, my friends, so with Asphalt.
So Based on the video the Chrysler ME4-12 is in the tournament and will be added The ford Mustang 2015 is in a tournament and will be added The Ferrari FF will be added soon (Wanted so Thanks for this GL) The Ford GT will be added soon (Wanted so Thanks for this GL) Mercedes CLK GTR will be added (One of my all time faves in midnight club 3) The SLS AMG GT will be added And the Jaguar CX75 is in the video but it is not mentioned. Is it only a premium car and must be bought in the pack or will it have a tournament? I really want this car so please anser GL-Ryan Thanks!!!
The extra nitro tank addition basically kills any interest for me to play the game after my free boosters are up. There are a ton of things wrong with the multiplayer and and have the single player completed for ages. The only thing that was still fun were the tournaments. A lot of the tracks are going to be hugely affected by the extra nitro tank. You will need them to be competitive for the fastest time. And you must be absolutely crazy to think that I'm going to be spending a dollar for every time I want to play a tournament. Also the new nitro/handling boosters are 5 times more expensive, so once again a huge jump in prices. I think I'm pretty much done with the ever increasing prices that get fed to us with the excuse of "adjusting the balance of the game". It is really weird how it is never adjusted in the benefit of the player..
I believe they already knew that. (However, if they end up seeing a dent in revenue, they might declare this another pricing experiment gone wrong.)
The fuel limits your amount of trials. The 2 new cups both need 3 fuel for one try. But I I do not know if it is charging by itself or it's being refilled after the cups are finished. How many hours/days does the fuel tank need to be fully recharged?

For those of us who do not buy IAPs, I have a temporary solution for the new MP problems. Infinite nitro boost jags got you down? VOTE INFECTION MODE for every race. It's not foolproof, but if enough of us here turn MP into infection-mode only, then we can give the extra-tank buyers sufficient problems to make the purchase less worthwhile.
Well, this update does seem to render the whole "Open" clan pretty obsolete, unless their members are fine with paying a few bucks every day just to be in a position to put up the fastest times possible. If GL is really desperate to squeeze money out of players, I think there could be other ways to do so. For instance, how about pay-to-play tournaments with Asphalt 8 prizes for the top finishers? There's a huge market (right?) out there for miniature car models. How about collectable Asphalt 8 toys that one can win for finishing in the top 50? I think certain players would have more incentive to pay money if they knew they had a chance to win stuff like that. Make the tournaments car-specific: race in a Mini-Cooper for a chance to win a toy Mini-Cooper. Entry fee: $3-5 for 10 runs in a tournament. Wouldn't a miniature Silver Lightning look cool?
I dunno. They have infinite nitro, basically. If you're infected, you also have infinite nitro, but you have to avoid dying, and you have to let everyone pass to become infected in the first place. I don't think you'll be able to catch up to decent players. It should work against mediocre ones, though. Are you racing right now?
Just made it through all of the posts since yesterday. Thanks for the great feedback on this new update. I'll be around checking in throughout the day for more posts and I'm sure Fabien will be popping in when he's back in the office again! I rarely, if at all, see issues with connection on Asphalt 8 honestly. If you're having issues with this, I encourage you to let our support team know about it. That'll be a tech issue they need to reproduce and work on Looks like you solved it, but a device restart should address the issue 10 minutes per bar based on the timers in the game. Typically the way we like to introduce cars is through tournaments, like you mentioned in your post. I haven't seen the event layout for all of the new additions, so I can't say 100%, but I would imagine all of the new cars will be put out in the tournaments first before being able to be purchased in the shop.
