I don't have a "favorite" MP opponent per say, but I frequently find myself squaring off against 3 users in particular: Rhinolabello (or something like that), almond_neo, and Vasto Spazioso. So I guess I can consider them my "rivals" or something. I'm enjoying the French Guinea tournament (it's an easy track to navigate, even with an S-class car!), but I've gone exactly 1:03.063 about 5-6 times now. I'm obviously missing some small shortcut to take me down to 1:02. Did Turbo 343 talk about doing a quick barrel roll at the very start of the race? Off of one of the long straight ramps?
Thanks, Slayer! Down to 1:02:752 now. Using the Lykan. FWIW, I've never beat my Lykan time with the Tuatara in any S-Class tourney to date. Gotta wonder about those stats Anyone racing the Germany vs. UK tourney? I'm down to 53:208 after about 1000 runs. That puts me in 18th. I've managed to beat half of the Open clan and all of the Summer crew, but I really wanted to make top 10. I think you need to get a freak super-quick barrel role off the low edge of the first jump to get under 53.2 (followed by an impeccable run afterward). Here's my approach: 1) Triple off the line, side-swipe the Merc, shortest/quickest barrel roll possible, followed by perfect nitro and two traffic near-misses. 2) Stay tight to right hand wall heading out of tunnel. Keep that line to get gold (not the blues) heading onto upper bridge; grab hidden gold, drop through gap to lower bridge, triple boost + traffic and blue nitro. 3) Straight jump onto ledge (left path), triple boost on landing (since the little jump immediately afterward cuts nitro off), then perfect nitro down snow hill. 4) Keep close to right line, blue nitro + 2 traffic near-misses, barrel roll hard right to cut through last turn, triple boost to finish. Any tips, guys? Again, I'm at 53:208; 10th place is currently 53:145...
Mini almost exclusively. If I get a good streak of points -- say 10 or so -- I'll take out the volt or the lykan. You still exclusively racing Survolt?

You triple the start then take out the merc side, left path really low barrel roll that huge jump instead of going up it...land and triple to the next breel roller on the left...land and triple to the tunnel and take it super tight right and a short drift at that, perfect and on form there...if you are clean all the way when you get to the right hander in the next tunnel you can triple to the finish there two, all that nitro and a perfect run will barely keep you alive. Good luck, that one is pissing me off man...lol...that start alone for me is very rare to get a clea nnrun at that jump....with the Ai taking that road and crashing them most every time. What is the map? Alps rev? Car you are running? I am set to WW all the time so I am not running it but maybe I can add some advice? As I have stated before..I think the Lykan will out run the Tautara on nearly all maps but Iceland..Best I could do in mine in this event was 1.02.8xx Mini (not much at all) Survolt (when I care about my points that night ) Lykan, this is what I run most of the time. P1...I do run this a little too, but it is only to race a friend that I talk with on FB and he likes that car so I run it to race him in MP...usually actually do very well in it. I have only lost say 2 out of 20 runs that I have used it surprisingly..but never in real good company save a few times and those were nail biters.
Yep, Alps reverse. If you set to Germany or UK, you can run the map too. Then just switch back to WW! Racing the McLaren P1 -- all upgrades, both boosts (obv.)
Yes, Rhino***** & Vasto are very good, i race them now and then. Almond_neo didn't really note him/her.... There also a few which i like to race with, espically the []CHN[][] racer, most of the time i beat him even beat him once using a Clio Mini Cooper now sometimes RS4 a few runs. I won't race using A S class cars, too fast....
I (and a few other players) absolutely cannibalized that player's rating last night. For some reason he decided to race his Mini-Cooper without any boosters on, and I kept on being placed in the same room as him. In a span of around 7 races he went from 1575 points to 1510 (those points didn't all go to me, but he was dropping an average of 7-10 points per race). I have no idea what he was thinking.
When I start actually playing later on I will give that a go and let you know...is the time duration long enough that I can give you the pointers later on if I find any that are worthwhile? That map is very straight forward actually..You start triple take out as many needed that along with a full speed barrel roll (in airspeed) you make it to the next corner with no lag in boost which in that car should be a breeze. Then that next one if you run it tight enough with the small jump to take only yellow and then blue hidden yellow and off the only thing that shaves time from there is triple boosting the sections and spin that jump onto the snow hill and in that car maybe even triple to the last jump before the finish straight. You can take that jump in a fashion that allows you to cut off the last corner and fly a long way to the line and triple.... that is the jist of that map though. Some of these guys do it to loose points in rank to allow for easier mach ups...which makes no sense when you still have to climb back up the ladder anyway? Maybe he just does no care and wants to have fun, or even did not have the credit balance to afford it....or maybe even their little sibling was hijacking his/her account to run and did not know ...LMAO Edit: for those that were wondering Slayer I think, I ran the current French track with no boosters a little while ago to see if the 1.04 could be done...I will say that I think it can be...with an absolutely perfect run...I ran a 1.04.6xx with some errors so it must be, but I bet it is challenging for sure. Edit2: I ran it for you man...6 runs is all I have time for now but I see that it is 4 days... wow that is a lot for that short run as far as a TLE event duration...The main things to change from what I siad that you have some of I bet. Triple start take the merc and as low as you can roll but make sure it is one that stays 270mph or you will not improve I think. Get your near misses and you need to run that last tunnel corner super tight and do the drift last second to take only yellow going up the hill and next yellow. Now I think you can do this under triple to boot man...you don't need the hidden bottle with this car as I took it in my first run and did not in my second 53.5 first 53.4 second and then a few more with crashes to get t o what I have up now. But I missed that mid corner out of the tunnel right and that I think is worth something substantial maybe 2 tenths....Get all misses up the hill after falling off the midsection like you are now.. but you don't need to spin that jump that puts you up on the hill...triple and gain the perfect run bonus as you pass the bus near miss too but you dont need the bus....and then from there it is in that last jump...you can get a strange long fast non spin jump and that is key with a triple finish. I dont have time right now to run it more but I will later tonight Mountain time usa... Hope that helps ya man

Just to clear that question up for you, was a previous post to Turbo, I enjoy MP but didn't understand the ranking, thanks Turbo. Even now that I do, I truly do not care whether it was 1550 or1600, the other day I was winning and losing 7 points a round, funny but as you questioned why above? Because A, I din't understand the concept of the points, B I don't car about the points itself and Here is the BIG C!!! C is when I was playing doing great runs and then simply handed it off to my 10 year old daughter to play for another hour. During that hour, I was laughing with my son about the fact "Geez, what must all those other guys be thinking, that I was doing so well against them and now I'm crashing 4 times in each race and coming in last Didn't really care, so to some people it's just not important. Edit: for those that were wondering Slayer I think, I ran the current French track with no boosters a little while ago to see if the 1.04 could be done...I will say that I think it can be...with an absolutely perfect run...I ran a 1.04.6xx with some errors so it must be, but I bet it is challenging for sure. Thanks there Turbo, best I got was 1.07.2, since the events come out at around 8 eastern and I'm usually busy, I have been reserving the nitro and tune boosts for when I have a free block of a few hours later at night / early morning, Thanks for the tip, but I didn't realize you were doing the barrel off the first, I thought it was the low ramp at the end of the tunnel, which is cool too.

Yes, sometimes he decided not to have Booster equipped, sometimes i saw him equipped with just a Tunning kit. But he sure put up a challenge to the Mini drivers if he fully equipped
I am thinking you know something that we don't ? Is there really only the UK vs Germany tourney running atm....? I am truly surprised especially with the World Cup kicking off today. I think GL should consider having a tourney to represent each country on the days that they are playing, for example today they should have had a tourney for Brazil and Croatia....and so on...a, this will allow members of the representing country to celebrate in a different way b, allows more tourneys, earn credits and compete more c, add a bit more fun by looking forward to different races in various countries. Suggestions? Edited.... I think I spoke too soon....GL just added 2 other tourneys....or, this has to be a record response time from GL ; )

I know what you mean in way of time. I live in the Mountain Time Zone and I basically only play from 9-10 pm and on....Usually for an hour or two after my girls are in bed and I am alone for the night. When credits are short it is wise to save those boosters for time slots when you can utilize them to the fullest I have been off this week though so that is the only reason I have been in game a bit more
