It is a little difficult I admit. BUt the main things that got me in the 17's I feel were after the tight city section and on...you need to run that clean for starters but after taking that jump at the end of the section you need to turn really tight in the air to hug that right wall...land perfect nitro tight left getting that yellow, then a micro drift to take the next left as tight as possible with out hitting that inside point...run right tight to the buildings on your left and drift a left turn right before you clear that small building in the middle of the road...perfect and spin that small flat ramp...perfect take the left side and spin that small ramp too... land and hit perfect nitro right away while turning left hard all the way...don't worry about hitting an inside wall you need to turn super hard then over the bridge and right before you come down to the flat drift a short one for the right run and get back on nitro before it feels totally right and you will just miss the wall... I have had enough to triple to the finish here but if not of course perfect that...I admit that I am not sure were the fellas are finding the .4 or so they had on me last night but I bet it is there and just in making the start of mine tighter..... now that start was a big deal in getting into the 17's too come to think of it....I triple it take the ramp and most of the time the green car would get out front and I could land on his left side and triple again while taking him out. I start my first drift right as I cannot keep up with the turn if that makes sense... triple/drift triple to jump and spin...next jump triple (at landing you need to be there in 19.xx landed) triple to next and spin onto brick road. perfect and on you go No prob man You should be able to get back like Bird said or just by game center account...Dont leave us man

Not shameful at all.. Shawlan has it in 1.21.1xx with no boosters and he is a very good driver so you are in the park with that. That map can be deceiving as to where time is lost. Everything needs to be run as tight as it can be. What is this?... EDIT: I see what you mean...sorry...Thats Tano Not only that but man oh man I see that the top 42 places are now over 2k....did something change or did the whole world start running the mini? Points system have a tweak? Congrats to BeaArthursGhost for the 82nd place too...Means even more with the state of the top 100 these days
Finally someone who suit World no.1 is holding it! He's a Legend man! The no.42 Dlusion, he's really amazing, he dropped to 1.6k pts and suddenly rose to 2000?! I added dlusion in GC anyway, good job on those CRAZY drivers
Last night I raced a guy called Dlusion who had about 2025 points; I remember racing him a week before that and he had about 1900 points. So clearly there are points to be won in MP. (He got wiped out by one of those insane Chinese "OPEN" players, by the way, so I managed to pass him and sneak into 2nd place, making Dlusion lose 16 points in the process! Finishing behind two guys ranked in the low 1500s apparently does that.)
Oh, did you race him too? I've seen his name on many of the leaderboards of Canadian tournaments, so he might be from Canada. With a few exceptions, his results there are honestly not that impressive; I've finished above him many times. I'm surprised by his MP ranking. He certainly didn't put up much of a fight against the "OPEN" player, and in another race he beat me by just 1 second in Monaco with the Mini-Cooper, despite starting in front of me and grabbing the crucial first gold bottle.
What car was he driving...mini...survolt? EDIT: never mind you posted again before I did Still I think there must have been an adjustment in the point distribution possibly to see so many above 2k
A white Mini-Cooper - the same car that he used the week before as well. He seems to go online at about 11:30 PM Eastern Time, which means he might be from the West Coast. He's honestly not that good. His winning time in Monaco was a high 2:02; in Barcelona Reverse, he only went a 2:53. You and Dark Zero (and many, many Chinese players) would definitely crush him in MP.
My hat goes off to Tano, if Turbo 343's info is correct. I wonder if that's why he created all those accounts — it's a well known fact among gamers (and not just racing gamers) that at some point, winning against your own sock puppets becomes the most reliable way to win points. Then again, maybe not. I never did that, because it seemed like cheating. And he might share that opinion.
Oh got ya...well MP and TLE driving are very different... I myself will loose about a second or more in MP maps because I do all it takes to stay out front and once there I slow down some a stay safe and not fast...just fast enough...In TLE's I take every risk there is to take just to shave off the negligible Dark tells me that he beats the Open's alot in multi and that makes sense if they cannot adapt. I have taken them down the few times I ran into them. It is man, because I have all his accounts asa friends in GC and that is one of them. He changes the name of that account nearly daily....it can be seen in tourney too. He has even changed it a time or two to run a ghost of mine and beat it using the name King Turbo....LOL....I did get it back but it was a massive challenge indeed. Hats off to him too, no matter how its done it is still a long time in the saddle to get there. But the quick rise I think has to have had some help with the point rewards? You might know better than I...I have been riding around MP in Lykans for a bit now so I loose enough to not gain at the end of the day
Yes, back when i'm using Survolt & RS4, he is quite a racer but not that good though I did beat him a few times back then, i'm very surprise too that he climb all the way up to 2000 ranking, not sure how he does though........hope to see him soon as u said he is using Mini nowadays From what i know he is really Tano, raced once with him using Mini, at Barcelona i tried to knock him down but man he's like steel!! He managed to get those Nitro boost which left me out of nitro... But he did changed his name very frequently
Thanks, Turbo! I started using a new strategy over the past few weeks. I write down how many points I have every day. The next day, I try to add 4 or 5 points. Some days I get more, some days I get less. But I'm seeing a net gain, overall. About that driver dlusion a few of you have mentioned: that dude has skill. I think he started out the same time as me -- about a year ago. I used to beat him more than half of the time. He disappeared for a while, but now he's back with a vengeance. If he starts ahead of you, prepare to the lose the race!
Congrats B.A.G on hitting Top 100!! Seems like ur new stratergy works! I think there is chances to beat him even when he is Lead driver, he did Crash somethimes when he is leading the race. And my in-game time is 10days 6hrs, whats urs?
That's a good strategy. I never write anything down, but I do pretty much the same thing whenever I play multiplayer: Basically, I try to never end a day with less points than I started with. Sometimes, the best I can do is recoup after losing a lot of points in the beginning, which tends to happen when I haven't played for a couple of weeks, for instance. And if I win points on average for a while on any given day and then notice that I'm starting to lose more frequently, then I force myself to stop playing, because something is clearly wrong. (Most of the time, it just means I'm tired.)

First Post ??? Wow, great to see some of your posts and some of the top people out there, like Turbo, Dark, Acee, Etc and many others. While being new to the forum, I love the game and am finished with the seasons, except for 1 star for the 50k drift in season 8, tried my best with the Lykan and Koenigsegg to no avail and I'm pretty decent at drifting, my favorite of all. What's great to see is that while I thought most of the top 300 or so, somehow are either hacked or cheating somehow, you guys bowed me that a LOT of you guys are here, really nailing those times and to take the time to explain how to get better, well.. Thanks. Awesome to know, since I couldn't figure it out. I am new to Multiplayer, well level 30, but still new, since I have some ??? I can't quite figure out: 1. Throughout this forum, is there mostly just this thread on A8? seems so, hence the reason I posted here. 2. In MP, I understand the level, get more xp, the level goes up, but as I see some people are high levels like 85 and such, does the money go up with the level? Is 85 the highest? 3. In Mp, next to your name there is a rank, mine is 1321, my 12 year old son pointed out that sometimes you get a plus arrow, a minus arrow or an equal, sometimes even win in 4th place, and there are points next to it, what is this about? 4. In MP, It seems or maybe its my imagination that sometimes when people are doing bad or crash, that they leave the game? Are all these people actually getting disconnected from the internet or purposefully leaving the game and why? 5. I left the game once on accident and lost my streak, so you always have to play through the streak or is there a way to leave play some events and come back without losing where you were on the streak? 6. Along those same lines, maybe it's me, but I never noticed the pause button in MP and when I saw it, yesterday I tried it, it seemed like even though I was paused, I was still racing ? If so, then what's the pause for? That's when I saw the option to quit the game, which reflects my questions about people leaving on purpose and why? and losing the win streak? My thought is that if you are going to lose the streak, you might as well finish the lap? Am I wrong about that? 7. Is it almost impossible to get events times, without having the nitro and tuning? Since I noticed that all the top people have stand even though I have used it on some events, it was quite a truffle to reach a certain time, where I noted before I saw everyone's post, that it is just a skill level of a guy like Turbo to be able to nail these incredible times. Gives people something to look forward to, instead of thinking all those times were somehow hacked. 8. Any particular cars that are really good for MP, such as I noticed with my maxed out nissans, if I use the 370, all my competition is are Citroens, if I use my GTR, I get more Citroens, switch to Lambo Sesto, I get Lykans and Tuataras. There must be an easier method to figure this out that I am missing somehow? 9. I noticed that when I switch to a lesser car, like a scion, I do much better??? 10. My son and I , have the same Apple ID, with different user names, does he need a different apple id, for us to race each other? Can't figure out how to race a friend, since I have no friends or their ghosts. I saw some people say to add them and race their ghosts whenever you wish, some top people, where I guess you can learn better lines from their ghosts? Along this same line, I read on how to play a local wifi race, one person create a room the other then joins? Tried it today with my daughter 10 years old and I opened the room, yet you could not see it on her screen and vice versa, until we gave up. So in my house, my 12 yr old son and 10 yr old daughter and I all play, but not together. 11. In MP, are the rewards always 2500, 5000, 7500, 10000, d class handling, acceleration, nitro and once in a while a c class, or does this change later on? for example, what happens when you have every car in d class upgraded on acceleration, will it still give you that prize or does it start going to c or b class? There are never top speed prizes? There are never a or s class prizes? Please help with this and any answers. Thank you all in advance for the help and advice. ps..
