Darn I must be really bad at this game. Can someone help me on the current China TLE? I've run the event at least 10-15 times and can't manage to get below 1:03 though I'm 1:03:05. I'm running this with a maxed Tuatara. Is this because I'm running unboosted w/o a Nitro start or that I am taking a wrong path or I'm just bad (I'm not wrecking) ? Also, on the France TLE, is the Lykan better to use since I always find the Nitro bottles (at least the first one) stolen by the other racers (including a Pagani Huayra @ 1633). I would prefer to save my Lykan @ 1580 for its MP niche, but maybe the free top speed S-Class upgrade is worth it. I can get around 56: 08 w/o boosters on a maxed Tuatara. As for MP, there are a crap load of hackers. All these cars popping all over the path pisses me off. When I don't go against hackers I usually win in my Lykan (1580) -love eating boosted McLaren P1's @ 1611. But when I do I usually lose by 10-15 seconds even if I don't mess up against similarly ranked cars. By my times above (paragraphs) are these people hackers? I've seen maxed RUF RT 12 R (the A-Class one) out accelerate me in my Lykan at the start w/o a Nitro booster and Alfa 8C's do the same to my Survolt. As for the ridiculously low MP rating of some, my rating fluctuates extremely from 1131-1290 (yesterday and today). The servers keep timing me out so I lose ridiculous number of points. Since I'm such a low rating, I usually start in front and go against cars of similar rank (and win). So maybe ridiculously low players are a result of similar internet malfunction...?
I like the tournament with all the target times! Next time maybe even add some more challenging times to beat

I didn't try to get the top 10, I'm not interested in another S class boost since I have both Tuatara and Lykan boosted. Check that Chinese team yonku page above, they show you the best path for every circuit even Alps if you want that. Hope that helps
The same thing happened to me last night. I crossed the finish line 3-4 seconds before the hacker/runner-up, but the first place message didn't appear. As soon as he crossed the finish line, a second place message popped up. On the result screen he and I had identical times, but I was in second place. I lost 10 points in the process. (Earlier, I also lost 10 point for finishing in first, despite using a maxed Dodge Dart ranked 20-30 points lower than all the other cars.) I'm about 40 victories away from getting the "King of the Ring" achievement (1000 victories), so I'm going to keep playing MP/putting up with this crap for one more week or two just to get that. My ranking should be so much higher, though.
I love the Race Against the Clock tournament and how you don't have to beat other people to get the rewards. I got all the rewards for it. I think my time was around 59 seconds. Everyone who has a better time than you is running both boosters.
Thank you all. So I guess I'm not the worst out there with my unboosted times. I'll get the boosts fire them off and have a go at the TLEs! By the way I found this wandering around other forums/Facebook pages on Asphalt 8. I guess a major overhaul or minor is coming. Price increase I guess on all upgrades this time. Very interesting idea. I would definitely not be opposed to this. This is one of those things that would make the game feel fresher. I especially like the heavy, unpredictable traffic. Yeah that would be the true test of skill. It would be similar to the tournament on Alps that consisted of two laps. Yeah, the Lykan too. Gotta love S class. As long as they fix multiplayer with the update, I'm perfectly fine. The game should be updated for the better, not the worst. Crossed fingers.
Ya that's the reason I dislike this cup. 3 days long but rewards not that attracting. The time of 1.01 is dam easy to hit also.
I hope they'll increase the win streak awards and the earning for a reguar win in MP. I think, they'll implent some overpriced game changing cars again like the P1 and increase the upgrade cost or atleast some car prices.

taro82 Bro! Maybe... I "guessed" the track on China, just because Gameloft need massive crowd playing the game. I "guessed" McLaren P1 and SSC Tuatara, because one way or another, it was predictable. But... My serious guess for the update: 2 New Tracks (Europe and Middle East) 2 New Cars (B Class and A Class) 1 New Mode (?) 1 Big MP improvement But remember, if I'm wrong... I'm totally wrong!
You are welcome, sorry to hear that the game is butting you in the back seat that often. Chasing down someone like BeaArthurs is going to be darn near impossible from the back row for sure. Just have to take the time to learn everyones tricks so that when you get those better grid starts you are the one checking out Time will tell....I hope you do have the crystal ball
Did Gameloft ever give any kind of response to people's complaints about the overpriced Tuatara and it insanely expensive upgrade-path?
