Fwiw I think the highest a good driver will be able to sustain rank while driving the tuatara exclusively will be in the 1600-1700 range. Could be wrong there. I have encountered some good-to-great drivers in the tuatara/Lykan bracket, but nobody ranks higher than 1500-1600 or so. That much speed is just hard to handle, period.

And yea, I'm still waiting for Gameloft to do something to improve variety in mp for high-rank players. Ryan, Fabien, do you have anything to add here? Numerous suggestions have been put forth to give everyone - even high-rank drivers - a chance to race a variety of cars without letting them specifically camp out on "overpowered" cars.

As it is, people stick to the mini and survolt which are ringers, so it's not like Gameloft has kicked high-rank players off the "good" cars or done much to protect da nubs.

I don't have any new information at this point and time. I can reach out, or see if Fabien has heard anything differently. I definitely do appreciate the suggestions that have been offered up in the thread and to me via PM's.

It's a great discussion to have because multiplayer can often be a tricky beast to "perfectly" balance. As always, if I hear of anything I'll relay it accordingly!

I will add this to be S Class ;)

I think you are about spot on. I have not been super active but this is now about were I seem to live. The biggest variable IMO is the start though. I don't have trouble controlling the cars, but the start is a lottery in many ways. I get lined up anywere from the 2nd to 4th row most of the time. I still get the front rows here and there and those are a shoe in, but a major major challenge from the 3rd and especially the 4th row

I also agree with you on the ranks of some really good driver in that class. I have seen some really good competition of folks ranked mid 1200's!

Thanks for your suggestions! I have 3 more cups now:)
But the prize for the brazil cup is pathetic, 30k for top ten:eek:

I hate MP now, I get stuck on the black loading screen between the voting for the track and the actual race. This can range from 5-30+ seconds (most was 45 seconds). Since I'm in a 1518 Sesto , I can usually eked out a win (top 3) against low rated S-Class players since the racers are usually inexperienced. But even with an overpowered car against sometimes stock Venenos, 30 seconds is too much time to catch up to. I've lost around 150 rating points recently and loads of win streaks. Consider yourselves lucky if you only freeze 1-2 seconds!

The start is key. My Nitro-hogging Sesto can usually steal the first few Nitro bottles and usually continue unmolested the rest of the race, the closest racers get nitro starved and gradually fall back. However, since I'm running unboosted I hate starting not in the first row.

    I hate these certain occurrences:
    (1) starting behind a maxed Shelby GT500 or 599X boosted. These cars are almost impossible to wreck with my starting 203 seconds of nitro and so then take off with their immense No2 starts.
    (2) those who are bad drivers, drive extremely fast cars with Nitro boost. I've consistently gone against a Ferrari FXX Nitro boost player who wreck's almost everybody.

I'd say MP is not always fair but is there a better alternative?

Thanks for not giving anyone a target time reward, despite the fact that the unattainable 1:16.00 was clearly an error on GL's part!

MP is still the best way to earn credits fast. I'm still missing 3 relatively expensive cars (the Testarossa, Huayra, and F430) to have the whole set, and I still have a bunch of cars with level 2-3 stats. Once MP credits will have helped me pay those things off, I think I'll be pretty much done with MP.

At this point, I've been stuck in the mid-1400/low-1500 range for about 2 months. Every time I do well and get a bunch of ranking points during a gaming session, I inevitably lose them all during the next one (screen freezes, frequent disconnections). At least I don't have to deal with that crap during tournaments.

It is the best way to earn credits which is unfortunate since the payouts are still 2,500 per minute even at level 85-would take hours to buy the most expensive cars. However, I wish they gave out better win streak prizes. At level 41, I'm still getting C/D-Class upgrades-and mostly handling and acceleration. Do any of you with high multiplayer level get better prizes, like tuning kits/Nitro starters/Double credits/ or even BAS-class upgrades. I believe the BAS upgrades would come after all the D/C cars. Has anyone maxed the C/D cars and gotten better prizes?

I'm at level 85, and still getting useless D-class rewards that I have no use for. How I long for those days of double-credits and tuning kits...

Yes. I'd like to just make it so you score 0 points instead of -7, -10 or even -14 for a loss (or even a runnerup finish). Then, we all just race and don't worry about it so much.

I am only getting D upgrades too in multiplayer too and nothing more....but you have 6k + to look forward to each win at level 85

Here here sir... how fun would that make multi player. Even for now though...it would be nice if it could recognize a come back to second after like a double knockdown start...and reward the perseverance of the player??

I feel replaying the tournament events is more rewarding. Multiplayer races are a lot longer (tournaments are around a minute, one lap), you spend much more time waiting for the other players, more competition (it is easy to grab first place in tournament races, pretty much guaranteed).

Tournaments get you 3600 credits for 2 minutes (including loading time) while in MP you might get 6500 for a race eventually but it takes much longer for each race to take place

Solo grinding in TLE like that also doesn't require you to spend credits on running your two boosters

The MP awards are so bad. GL changed it silently and now, mp is useless again on low levels. And leveling up costs too much time, a xp booster would be nice. Like a 3x multiplier.

What I really HATE is, that GL changed some car prizes. GTA Spano costs now 160K, not 70K anymore. I had the old version on w8 and i looked for the car pack prices. Class A pack is now about 100K more worth, class S about 270K!
