On iOS, since I have my thing set to worldwide, I don't even get a Memorial Day cup. As an American, this doesn't make much sense.
I've set my country from kenia to worldwide and I don't get more TLE's. Whats the avantage to change the country? The top 100 are always from around the world, not just kenia or switzerland. What's the "best" country?
depends what you are looking for, the most competition to get better or an easier country to get the top prizes? The ones where players all over the world can take part of will always be dominated by hackers. It’s best if people don’t change countries too much-it ruins the natural balance of the game-making a country extremely competitive and others not. However, the usually countries with slower leaderboards are English speaking, that is my hint.
Time to go on my monthly rant.... So I got bored with the Survolt and the I dislike how slow the Mini is so I'm trying to use the Lykan again. I tried using the Tuatara but that's just no. I went from 1900 to 1864 in a couple races. I still care about my rank so I'm pissed. Races in the Lykan are so unpredictable because of the car's random lack of control. Many times where the car pretty much wrecks itself (like spin out of control, etc). I do like that every single match is competitive for the most part but I'm experiencing hackers again (haven't really seen them lately). So the Lykan's randomness mixed with hackers is a upset person. This stems back to my main problem. The multiplayer is still not fixed. Why? I guarantee you it wouldn't be that hard to fix. I'm sick of being forced to use a certain car. I need this to get fixed, now.
I understand how you feel. I'm also not happy with being forced to use either a Lykan/Tuatara, a Survolt or another car. I like to use the P1, but because it's maxed, I'm often thrown against Lykans or Tuataras. But after the upgrade, I kinda stopped caring about ranks. I still use the P1 from time to time, because driving with this car is so much fun. Also, it forces you to make no mistakes, and I kinda like that since it helps me improve.
The worst part about MP for me is the frequent lag I keep on having, and which has resulted in me losing a bunch of races that I was leading. These past few weeks, I've been experiencing a 1-2 second lag in approximately 1 out of 4 MP races that I play. It seems to happen more frequently on the Chinese tracks. This has forced me to play almost exclusively using the lowly Dodge Dart, as with faster cars I end up facing off against much better players, who always rush pass me while my screen is frozen.
Also, the current 24-hour Canadian tournament clearly has a wrong target time. Going under 1:16.00 on the French Guinea track with that C-class car is impossible to do. It should probably be 1:26.00.
As a Canadian, I would recommend setting your country to Canada and trying out its tournaments. It has daily tournaments from Monday to Friday, plus weekend tournaments. While it isn't all that competitive, there are always at least 5-10 great racers (Chinese, I'm assuming, based on their usernames) putting up very fast WW-quality times. I've also seen BeaArthursGhost from this forum near the top. And as I've increased the amount of cars I had from 30 to 57 in the past two months, I'm usually participating too; I've finally managed to crack the top 10 a few times.
Depends on what you are looking for..just more tourney's this time? Or is this a long term move? I stay WW and never change it. I did that game once...if you think running in one event or two at a time is hard to stay up top...try 14...I had that many going once and it was too much to try and stay on top of Kenya and World Wide would be the same I guess. The smaller countries get lumped into WW by default. If you all want more events at one time...try USA, then Germany, then France, then Australia than maybe china
So I haven't posted in a while or read for that matter (just found out about the ssc tuatara to give an idea) and what checking in in just what driver 4118 said about the current tourney, tts coupé at French Guiana not happening at below 1:16...I use darkzero and turbo, (I'm sure there are more great players, so friend me on GC... JUNIORG22) as a benchmark for a well above average time in most tourneys and seeing him at 1:23 gives me little hope for 1:16 or better lol... Anyway, its probably cuz I haven't been here in a while, but maybe not...is it just me who thinks people are looking into this country-based tournament schedule? I haven't read back all the way to where I left of to see if gameloft has posted anything on it, but it seems like it would make sense that tourneys are based on timezone, to give everyone a chance to get on the leaderboard in a 24 hour tourney...again maybe I'm wrong but driver 4118 just pointed out above, the Canadian 24 hour is clearly the same as the USA and has the exact same 1:16 flaw. Anyway, I'd be interested to know if there are actually different tourneys with different prizes and levels of difficulty (clearly wouldn't do a Chinese one). Lastly, where's turbo at with the play by play strategies for the new tracks ? Someone (maybe I will) should compile a post of all the best routes for all the tracks into one post, or a post of all the previous post numbers with play by plays and strategies...it would be the ultimate Asphalt 8 for dummies (abridged) in the world.
I'm always looking for more tourneys and more credits/upgrades/boosters. I switch through about 8 countries every time I put in a concentrated session. These days, they tend to only have about 4 running at any given time. Also not trying to hit the top spot...just trying to hit the top reasonable prizes.
That's what I expect at the first try (1:25:00). I hope gl could fix it but it's seemed to be hopeless. I believe the last mistaken tournament wasn't changed at all (couple weeks ago).
Sorry man, I usually do those on request ...Dark had my back on several of them though. Some of these I dont run, I am shorter on time these days, busy summer coming up, but I am happy to help out when I can...you know that 10-4 bud...I hear that...My "Asphalt OCD" makes me chase the top spot and that takes time so several tourney's st once is lot o work dont ya know
I also experienced this situation when playing Great Wall maps, especially during the start of the race.
