Are you talking JunJun Zheng and the 3 other hackers. Either he's really good, running 6-8 seconds below everybody on the Tuatara race or he's a hacker. By the way,he's also #1 in the Nevada cup. Gamelot removed him from the leaderboards o but he was added back in right before people received the Tuatara. Now I play legit and was #14 and got my Tuatara, but I feel sorry for 4 people cheated out of their rightful prizes and I hate that guy lots. o I’ve posted the leaderboard of his time on Gameloft’s website and sent in a customer complaint, but they don’t respond. Bummer. o since he’ll keep taking the top spots (and prizes) in Tournaments. Thanks for your advice! I’ll but the 599X and max it, sounds like my style (the Sesto/Tuatara). The GT500 sounds just a top speed car but it handles not as well and Lambo seems like a B-Class Audi R8 This McLaren P1 sounds better and better, why don’t they release it on Windows? o Maybe you can catch the Lykan’s b/c you’re boosted. I almost never use 2X boosts unless I need to get in the top # and can’t reach it w/o boosts (and I already have a car maxed that can go in that tourney)-I guess boosts would make a lot of difference… o How can a P1 stay with a Tuatara, the P1, though the best in it’s class, is still A-Class, and then the SSC is the best car in all? o Also, I think someone already mentioned-use the SSC and compete against a Lykan ghost-I think it was Turbo, the Lykan ghost is really hard to catch-even though the 20mph difference
Also, that Russia Federation Cup is brutal. Only top 3 get the top prize, the Pagani Huayra. I’m top 50 w/ the only the Nitro boost is a maxed Tuatara. I have an advantage b/c I’m assuming most of the top people probably already have the Pagani (so the prize would go to the next person). My time is around 1:19-could probably whittle that down to top 10-15 ranked. I have one big time killer-the route around a circle, I’m Nitro and then slight drift but the last turn right before the ramp kills my speed. Also when going into the series of very narrow path’s I’m always taking the left, ignoring the ramp before the turn to the cars, and saving some nitro b/c the limo blocks the yellow Nitro bottle. And lastly the circle drive-is it better to control w/o drift and nitro? Thanks all
There are a couple of good resources: Multiplayer (Some things hide in plain sight, don't they? ): On some of the tracks, the ideal path depends heavily on the car you use. If you're getting beaten by the same car you're driving, follow them and analyze their path. I do that all the time, and it pays off: I've successfully changed my route for Barcelona (both ways) as a result of that just a few days ago. Game Center: Send friend requests to people like Turbo 343 and Dark-Zero (or simply tell us your ID), then race their ghosts. Video: Some of the good racers post videos of successful runs. Master Driver used to post videos on this thread occasionally, and there have been links to Chinese videos as well. If you searched the web, you'd probably find more. Theoretically speaking, Twitch would be a good resource as well, but as of now, most of the people who stream there aren't really any good. I think I saw you once (it was "SpiderMonkey", plus a couple of extra characters, if I remember correctly), and I had my boosters on. I don't think there's any particular secret, you just have to get to know the car, like you do with any other car. For example, the longer you use the Mini, the better you'll know what stretches it can cover with one full nitro bar, which means you'll know where to spin/roll/drift (gently) in order to generate nitro.
What a coincidence: I've also learned a new Barcelona path from someone else a few months ago While I was grinding for gold and boosters in the Audi R8 E-Tron, I saw a guy on the top 100 leaderboard (Sunshine Chen to be precise). He had boosters on with a Dart, but I was able to keep up for the first lap and saw his path. From there, using it helped me A LOT in MP. Anyway, what RB said is true, so watch some videos and practice. You'll see your skills grow faster than you might expect
You will like the 599xx once you get used to its handling. It actually handles quite well and is a pleasure to drive. The p1 confuses me a bit. It is dangerous to race it in mp because the servers will feed you to Lykans on a regular basis unless your rank is low. Still, it is very fast for its rating under nitrous, and in some tracks, it can stay in nitrous throughout the entire race. It is still no match for a Lykan or tuatara given an equal driver. Thing is, you don't always gets equal drivers . . . I don't know how that one guy -forget his name - stayed so close, but he did a great job of beating Lykans. I haven't spent a lot of time racing my own Lykan ghosts with the ssc, but the real pull-away happens whenever nitrous runs out, such as in the Tokyo tunnel. As for the tuatara's speedometer, it just lies. Same as the agera. Speaking of the ssc tuatara, I've decided to post some notes on dos and don'ts in mp. Most of this is track specific. DO stay on the track during the helix switchback section near the beginning of French Guiana reverse. The tuatara likes to bounce. It becomes very difficult to control if you try to cut between paths to grab all the nitrous bottles. It will slow you down. DO grab the two orange nitrous bottles before the mall in Tokyo. The tuatara won't freak out and wreck going over those sidewalks like the Lykan will. DON'T try the left corkscrew jump near the end of London eye, just before the final turn. The pavement there is unstable for the tuatara. If you try to get the leftmost corkscrew, your front end will pitch hard left and try to wreck you, unless you are drifting over that spot. The only way I've found to hit either corkscrew reliably is to avoid the orange nitrous bottle on the left, stay on the short path to the right, and then aim for the right corkscrew from as far out as possible. If you grab the orange bottle and try the right corkscrew, the pavement may force you left, taking you down the center of the road. DON'T hug the wide turn on . . . urgh, it's one of the china tracks where you take a wide turn with wheat bales on your right and the turn is to the left, then you encounter the bridge with blue nitrous bottles on top. Maybe two of the tracks have that segment. Anyway, if you hug the turn too close on the inside, the tuatara will pitch into the inside of the turn as you are straightening out. It won't wreck you, but it will slow you down. DO be careful if you take the right hand jump into the hairpin turns near the end of Nevada reverse. It isn't too hard to negotiate these curves, but it is arguably even harder to navigate these turns than in the Lykan. In the Lykan, I can usually take the last left curve under full nitrous, but in the tuatara, I can't manage it without losing traction somewhere. Drifting plus triple nitrous gets you through in good shape. DO triple off the line. The tuatara gains little from the triple - sort of like the gt500 - but you will get mowed down off the line by aggressive Lykan drivers. The only track where I do not triple off the line is Monaco reverse, and even then, it's very risky. I vote down that track wherever possible. Granted, I had the same problem in the Lykan. DO be extremely careful in any china track that has the slanted dirt track that steers right, like temple drive. It is very very very easy to pitch hard right and off the track shortly after the second blue nitrous bottle. The leftward shirt track is easier to navigate. DO hit the rightmost side of the corkscrew jump at the top of any china map that goes uphill past the temple complex. The Lykan seemed to be nearly impossible to put into a "dead spin" on this long jump, but the tuatara is vulnerable. As long as you stay on the right half of the jump, you should be safe. Or you can skip the jump altogether, your choice.
Finally picked up the Lotus Evora Enduro in light of the event running. Man, that thing eats through nitro. Just need the 599XX and F430 to have all of the available cars. (And the Tuatara once it is available to buy.)
I wish there isn't any China maps created.... It was soo lag to race! Anyway, BeaArthursGhost u made me kiss the wall! nice one!
Hah, that was exciting! Things could've gone either way at the start, huh? I find that if you trend lower on that left-hand turn overlooking the cliff (prior to the big hill and plaza in Wall Ascent and Great Wall Reverse), you'll have a slight advantage. Of course, there's always a chance you could fall off the course...or get pushed over the cliff
It was definitely exciting! When i saw ur name i am like "Brace urself u can do it" Who knows just the start of the game and i'm out...... I shouldn't turn off my Nitro so soon, wanted to save some more nitro for the slope to the blue bottle.
His path had nothing special, really. Also he was using the Dart, which eats nitro quite fast, and it did little to no difference while I was using the Lykan, since the nitro lasts long enough with it. Finally, I think it was mentionned somewhere in this thread. But if you want, here's what he did that was notable (only for Barcelona forward, didn't get to face him in Reverse) After the huge curve near the start, he picked the yellow bottle near the edge and dropped down the beach road to get two blue bottles in the little 'cave' under the upper road. That works on almost every car, especially when you triple off the line. Then after the huge jump with the boat and the two jumps over the water, he went down in the road leading to the tunnel, zig-zagged under the arch-like structures to get the blue bottles. In the tunnel, he kept breaking the pillars in the middle. I found that great at first, but when I tried it with the Lykan, it didn't do much, and it's rather risky. It works better on slower cars with low nitro, like the 599XX. I learned from that and adapted the path to Barcelona Reverse.
Does anyone know if it's possible to sync my existing account on my ipad to my android phone? If so, how?
Just wondering, does anyone know the country cups going on now? I know the Russian one is ending soon...
Based on looking last night, Brazil and France are the only other two. Also agree that the game seems to "freeze" more now than it used to. Like, it's most notable in the menu. Every few minutes, it'll freeze for about two seconds. In races, I'd say it'll "skip" for half a second every 3-4 races regardless of map. Usually recoverable but annoying if you're attempting to drift or nitro at that exact moment since it won't register.
Those 2 GUYS from Gameloft... are missing! They could tell us (or me) if the next update will be in 2014... I respect people who like that CUP stuff but at the end it's the same thing!
