I think I was still a full second behind you, though. Anyway, when you're still buying and upgrading cars, those cash rewards are pretty alluring all of a sudden. :)

Likewise! Were you the guy who knocked me out in that Monaco race, or was it the #2 car?

I recall knocking out a guy who did not drive a mini. I saw you in the lobby and figured you would race a mini, so I watched out not to knock you. It was real chaotic in the beginning of Monaco. I hoped we would compete but you were behind because of the beginning.

I appreciate the sentiment, but go ahead and knock me out when you get the chance next time. It's part of the game, and I will knock you out when I can. :p

Yup. Just barely without boosts. Here is my route with the gt500(I used it to get in the top 10 for the last man standing cup with the lambo):
get two or three knockdowns off the line, pick up the yellow nitro. then take the route to the left. after the curves, when you approach the two ramps, get one or two barrel rolls and triple boost right off the road ledge and into the dip on the right. then perfect nitro onto the ramp. after you land, perfect nitro to the ramp over the bridge, jump and collect the yellow and blue bottles. then perfect nitro until the end of the straight, drift close to the right corner, perfect nitro down the middle route (a perfect run should kick in and get you all the way to the end), get a barrel roll to the right, triple nitro, get another barrel roll, triple, then get one barrel roll off the final ramp to the right after the trucks on the bridge. triple boost to the end.

Personally, Ive found the lambo gallardo is a better car. triple boosting, its faster off the line than a triple boosting 599xx and its more stable and the nitro lasts longer (but obviously, you'd have to be running with boosters). just my opinion

Same here, and I'm not sure what the fastest route is, I also use the middle route at the start and have hit the high 1:17's

After the corners that come with taking the middle route at the start I stay right pick up the yellow, then take the ramp, perfect nitro and knock down a bunch of stuff on the far right to take the jump over the bridge (pick up one yellow and one blue). Short drift at the next right, hugging the wall.

After that I am not sure to take the middle jump (where you have the plane flight overhead) or the right one (and if so, do I stay on the bottom road all the way to the tunnel?)

    1. You should work on maxing some of the cars out. You need to start of in multiplayer using a car that is competitive, comfortable for you to drive and cheap. That car can take you very far in this game if you use it alot online since its easier to build up money for other things (tournaments, upgrades, new cars, etc). Competitive cars in low ranking classes are:

Mini Cooper, Nissan 370z, Cadillac ATS, Renault Clio, Audi RS 3 Sportback.

    2. The prime pack since a lot of cars in A class can be competitive if tuned right.
I just sent you a fr on gamecenter.
This isnt true. The 599xx has a faster start than a lot of cars on this game, including the Gallado multiplayer wise. 599xx is the slightly better car in multiplayer (i know from experience). It's one of those situations where whatever car gets out in front will most likely win if they have a good driver.

Honestly, I don't even know. Im basing my assumption off my times in the last man standing cup. With the lambo, after triple boosting I would always get out in front of the AI's GTR, but triple boosting with the 599xx only got me right next to it. just my two cents though, It could vary slightly by track.

Some random replies, too lazy to quote right now.

You can get some serious competition racing ringer cars once others get clued in to where the action is. The absence of variety does get to me sometimes.

I do remember what it was like to be ultra-serious about rank when switching between the z, cts race car, gt500/599xx, and Lykan. I'd pick whatever seemed to offer the most lukewarm competition that day and switch if I started to slide down in rank.

As a warning: the a class ruf is not a good mp car. You CAN win with it against many opponents, but the sesto will usually bury you. Take advantage of its handling to pull ultra-tight turns wherever possible, and triple off the line 100% of the time to compensate for its lousy acceleration. Watch out for the sesto. You can catch up to them if you are the better driver.

The gallardo has faster acceleration off the line if you triple. I have experienced this in the 599xx: I triple, gallardo triples behind me, gallardo wrecks me. If the gallardo does not wreck the 599xx, the 599xx catches up in about 5-10 seconds, assuming they both triple off the line. The gallardos superior nos duration does not compensate for it's slower max speed under nitrous and it's horrible top speed without nitrous.

Now that you mention it, the tuatara does sort of remind me of a faster 599xx with a different acceleration curve. Still, the tuatara has some control-loss scenarios that are different. I'll post my results after the car goes live to the general population. For now, it's me vs a bunch of elite chinese tle racers with tuataras, and it's pretty funny. I've got some of them defaulting to infected every race (which is what I do now). Interestingly enough, infected mode just helps the lead car stay there, more often than not.

If I were starting out today, I'd race single player until about season 5 or wherever the car prices outstrip rewards to the point that it gets grindey. The. I'd grind out 55000 credits plus whatever else I could stand, get boosted, and race multi in my dodge dart, or if I had it, the Audi s4 with one upgrade in every category. I'd save up money and d class upgrades from streaks to buy and max out either the Mini Cooper or the z. Then I'd race that boosted to buy everything else in the game. Once you hit level 85, that's about 6500 credits per win. You will win a lot of races in the z. Things might be too competitive in the mini for a scrub right now.

Another option: maxed Alfa Romeo mito gta, provided you don't get fed to the minis.

In my experience, that is definitely not true. I have rarely (if at all) ever gotten knocked out by a Gallado off the line. Considering majority of my multiplayer time was spent on the 599xx (atleast 3 days worth). I guess its just my opinion against yours.

Personally I agree, I have tried hard to love the Gallado but have always gone back to the 599 because of accel is better (slightly) and it is flat out a better car especially when boosted. It receives a better upgrade than the Gallado when boosted. I to have never been knocked down in a 599...just my measly experience though ;)
