Thanks for getting back to us, and also thanks to the dev team for fixing the issue fairly quickly. I do still have some concerns about the matter. A little more explanation might be helpful. I've had some experiences before where "glitches" such as this were actually tests to see both, a reaction from the faithful customers, and also to see how many unknowing customers would be willing to submit to lunacy.
I've noticed the same thing, and I've been wondering if it's some kind of clan similar to how we could all be named "TA CobaltBule", "TA Running Bird", and so on. "Tano" might be a similar phenomenon, by the way. There are a lot of Tanos out there, and I doubt they're all the same person.
Hahaha! May i join ur clan? LoL In GC i have a few Tano as friend. I'm wondering are they Tano's wannabe or same person.....
For this matter, I let you contact the customer care. If ever one of our players payed this much and if we can confirm that he did, we will compensate him.
Apparently its done Chinese Asphalt 8 group. One person from them finds the best route and suddenly all of them compete to get the best times and dominate the leaderboards. The links I posted are some of those videos
So Turbo, i see you one upped me again in the Tuatara tourny. You know i cant let that slide lol. Im coming for you.
Like you, I remain a little skeptical to how much of this was down to a glitch but either way, it is nice to see the prices back at the normal level
I have three of them as friends in GC and Asphalt...they are all the same guy and it is the real Tano...not sure why he has so many accounts Ya buddy I would expect nothing less of you my friend... thats is why I have it really...I saw you ahead of me and I was like oh hell no You know as well as I...but it theoretically should not be too hard...(kinding...but not...right) I missed a major element in that run and it made me run to a wider line to get nitro to not loose too much....I was a little shocked at the end time of it. That map pisses me off dude...I have at least 30 runs or so if not more that should be sub 32's but something happens all the time....I am going to have to call that run good no matter what though...I will not have the time today till after that one is over to defend any recourse you get.... Good luck bro..I would love to see one of us in the top 10!!
I would try to get a better time as well, but I spent too much money on the tourney for my liking (around 600k) I still am on the top 100 leaderboard, so I'm OK with the time I currently have. But if someone kicks me out of it, I'm definitely going to try again.
Pretty interesting. Saw on Gizmag.com that four GT Academy drivers are entered in this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. The GT Academy is a collaboration between Nissan (NISMO) and the makers of Gran Tourismo. The program takes top gamers and trains them to become professional racing drivers.
To be fair, though, some of those people might have been actual racecar drivers before they entered those competitions. Lucas Ordóñez, for instance, was a kart racer long before he participated in GT Academy. (He's quite well known in Europe, because Nissan based most of their advertisement efforts on him for a while.)
Yep, I know this guy in that Facebook group. He's Korean though but he runs pretty fast times , low 1:32's . I'm part of that group and its huge-several hundred people-almost a thousand. But because not all the people are Open-() on the top leaderboards I guess theres even sub-groups in that where certain members are allowed to know the fastest routes...' Mazhar J, I fell to 72 last night at 7pm. Decided to go for a couple runs and couldn't get under 1:35 (the other cars would sometimes attach themselves to me and wreck me or my car would sometimes suddenly swerve even if I didn't turn/tilt). Then I made a surprise run without perfect runs into #34. Tried it a few more times and am now #7 on the WIndows leaderboard (not impressive compared to iOS but it's my first tourney). Though I've sunk from 800,000 to 150,000, spending around 960,000 credits (each run costs ~8,000 b/c 11,250 to rent and 3,600 to win, I'm happy. I know I'm a blithering idiot running the race 85 times but once you get in the top, it's hard to stop when you've already put in money.
That is really impressive!! Congrats on getting the car Also I understand its not the money but the feeling of being at the top What's your current time? And again great job
You can run a kart all you want. Unless you find support/backing, you're not going to progress. I believe they all had to qualify for the program via the gaming competition. Doing those competitions got them into the program, and the program opened up doors. Without it, they probably wouldn't have made it to where they are. "Wolf" had to beat over 800,000 other gamers for his spot in the program.
Ahhh...I see the light now... I have wondered for sometime how that many of them ran those times.... I guess I feel good that I have hung and beaten them at times with out the support of a group EDIT: Ryan / Fabien.... how many actual entries are in this SSC tourney?
Thanks man, since I'm in Windows, my times is not good. The fastest time is not even in the 1:31's. I have to check and will post Windows times. I believe there's another Window player on this forum... Agreed! However, it's not that there's just one great guy, there's quite a few. But yes, the whole group is good since once you learn a pattern for a track it works.
These guys are really good. Unfortunately, at least one of them is also a coward — I've recently encountered a person named Open[][], who appears to be a Mini expert. He's so good that if you start behind him, you'll hardly ever win. But here's what makes him a coward: He won't race you if he's behind you in the starting grid on a track where being in front is an advantage (e.g., Alps). He'll just leave the room. Then he sometimes comes back, notices he got put into the same room again, and leaves again. Sure, this kind of behavior will maximize your world series points, but people who do multiplayer that way are still losers in my opinion. </rant> No arguments there. I don't know what media coverage was like elsewhere, but Nissan Germany liked to make it seem like they turned a mere gamer into a racer. So I thought I'd point out that if you aren't also an actual racer already, you most likely won't make it far.
Windows player here. I've tried the SSC Cup 4 or 5 times, but I can't still have a perfect run without a wreck. Since I don't have too much money I give up. The Tuatara is awesome, but to obtain a top 100 lap I need some practice with that car. I hate Iceland, really. I get Tuatara later, even if the price is really high (950kk?! wtf) I'm still waiting the McLaren P1 (how much cost?), hope GL put that car soon on Windows 8. Meanwhile the F-150 is now a arrived^^
I don't believe the Tuatara will be that expensive. 650k to 700k is more realistic. Also the P1 costs 420k in the store. Challenger is 95k and testarossa is 295k. Hope that helps
