Like you said, majority. Doesnt mean all. Some you have wrong is TLE arent the only thing im focused on. Im not even speaking in my own prospective since it hardly affects me (only multiplayer affects me). Gameloft can change the game (they have done many things that i have gotten over), but not in the drastic way they have now. Any new player will leave this game once they find out what is necessary to do anything in this game. Again, like i said before, make a new account and try playing the game and see how far you get, even with money spent on IAPs. You'll be paying more money than buying a new console game almost doubled in price. Since you use statistics, tell us the number of people who like pay-to-win games over play to win games. This was helpful. I improved about 2 milliseconds (simple mental mistakes are ruining my runs) so it was helpful. There were 3 differences from the route i posted. I might actually try it. Anything is better than the Survolt.
Just wondering, can someone keep me posted on the Windows leaderboard (the last time I checked my rank dropped from 20 from 2 days ago to 50. Since there are around 36 hours left, should I engage another 36 hours spending spree on renting the Tautara. I pretty sure I can dropped my time by 0:00:5. What is the slowest time on the top 100. We all wish Gameloft Fabien, Ryan and co. would address the increase in upgrade prices. I really enjoy this game and so am concerned that Gameloft is changing an amazing product for the worse. Rip 273, I definitely agree with you that Gameloft is certainly justified in trying to earn more money. You are a rational person and we the rest of the players should calm down. However, as with all the players/customers, this upgrade hike is rather high and we wish the devs would be considerate enough to consider the people who use their products. Dark_Zero what's your current time? Are you in the top 100? -Deja Rees
And I certainly would agree that the hikes in upgrades mentioned are too high. I did even concede that point in my original post that everybody seems to have reacted to. So yeah, I do agree they are too high, but I must stress there is a right way and a wrong to address it and despite an earlier reaction, you seem to be coming around to that way of thinking as well so I can now say that I have communicated the point to someone of relevance and I have been assured that it will be reassessed. What that will lead to, I don't know. Its unlikely to satisfy every body but it is worth again noting that the matter is in hand and all points are being considered. I am still of the belief that a miscalculation has occurred somewhere due to the discrepancy I am seeing in the ratio of the different levels but again the algorithms that are used to calculate these kind of tweaks are not foolproof and sometimes the human acceptance slips by and sometimes the numbers that return don't take into proper account what would be considered acceptable on a personal level for each consumer. Mistakes just happen sometimes. And my original post on the matter was merely to point out that tweaks are essential and frequently occur in F2P games. Its a byproduct of their nature and unavoidable due to fluctuating market trends. And that was its sole purpose. Because as I pointed out that tweaks are common, it also becomes evident quite quickly if a tweak works or not and that leads to a further tweak and in all likelihood back in the direction that most on here want. There's no question about feedback not being taken seriously, it is, but we as gamers have to bear in mind why a developer is making changes and the simple fact is sometimes its economically necessary. If we take that point into consideration, along with the fact they are not trying to gouge us, they just have to have an economically viable product, it makes it easier to understand things from their side and with that we can then express our dislike for the steps in a more reasonable manner. And if we do it in a reasonable manner, they will absolutely pay a lot more attention to it. It's very difficult to take an angry derogatory post seriously because they tend to look ill considered and reactionary whereas a reasonable one looks considered and as though thought has gone in to it. And if thought has gone in to it, well, it has to taken seriously then. Everybody has a right to express their opinion and I have absolutely no issue with that at all. I do believe that there is a right way and a wrong way to do it though if we actually want positive results. You've expressed yourself far more reasonably in this post so thanks for that, I do appreciate it. But mainly the people behind the game will appreciate it also and that will give you're opinion much more weight than the previous post and it will get greater consideration. I know that's all very psychological but I'm sure anybody can say that they have better relationships with those real people around them that are considered and balanced rather than those that are angry and reactionary and are more inclined to help out the considered ones. Its really just the same thing here. Or should be anyway. Anyway, thanks for the post.
[A few minutes ago I came across a link on the asphalt 8 fb fanpage that I thought would be worth sharing. The guy in the 1st link has an insane time of 1:31:7xx] That 1:31.7 chap ran some tight lines; I could never hit so much havoc with an S Class ride. I see that run, and I imagine hundreds of others he's made where one of the jumps didn't go right, missed a drift, etc. Still, these tourneys make MP much easier — you know the route inside/out.
I know, wonder how many hundreds of tries he had before he made this. Imagine the Gigabytes of video data! Still, very very impressive!
Oh buddy especially in this map..... I have a ton of improvement I can do in my time.... funny thing is have run a 1.35.0xx with a wreck...man I wish that would not have happened and I would have bested that run of his
Dang 1:32:17, impressive. I know I've asked Mazhar J, but just want to get some other 's opinions But based on your experience, if by the rate my ranks are falling should I invest in another SSC Tautara renting spree? Costs so much but really want the car. Rank 50 with 36 hours left. Tuesday 4 AM: I was #20, then Tuesday 7PM I was 28, Yesterday around 3 I was 37, and at 7pm i was 41, Checked this morning and dropped to 50. Since the ranks are dropping so fast and this is my first world tournament, what should I do? This is my first worldwide tournament, so I would appreciate your input. I'm on Windows, so helping me is no harm all the iOS and Android players. My time is 1:33:98. THe lowest time: #100 was around 1:34:4 and number one was still not below 1:33 Running the tournament, I'm pretty sure I could get down to the 1:33 but doing the tourney is expensive rarely get a "perfect" race once in maybe 25-50 races. Have 350,000 credits, down from 800,000 for running the tourney.
So Dark Zero, is your time good enough to remain in top 100? what about Turbo 343? What ranks are you guys?
Wrecks seem to cost 2.5 to 3 seconds. So, I hear you. Does anyone ever adjust the steering sensitivity in the control section? I just tried it with the Lykan but ended up going back to 50 percent. Also, to see if I want to spend one million credits messing with the SSC Tuatara, ran the Lykan/Iceland in a quick solo race. After three runs, I was literally shaking — and only down to a low 1:35 (no boosts). Wasn't smart, though, to run the Caddy/Barcelona before S Class. It's like going from the bathtub to Niagara Falls — #mommy.
There are two cars for which I adjust sensitivity sometimes: - Ford F-150: Turn it way up (60%) - Ferrari FXX: Turn it down a little (30%) I tried the Tuatara for half a tournament run, but steering seemed fine with my standard setting — 42% on an iPad mini. (I think I wanted 40% when I originally set it months ago, but I must have slipped a little, and the setting worked well. So I kept it.)
I am at 1.32.7xx....I think it could hold the top 100...... but not sure. I was down to this morning to the 60's from 40's last night so it may not. I have the p[ride of me that is dying fro the 1.31.xxx and might still run it more tonight...then the part of me that is not sure it is worth it. I can say that I actually think low 1.31's are possible if not a 1.30 in an extreme case and I want to hit that mark. I have always figured wrecks to be worth 4-5 seconds all in all....+ the wreck I had was off a jump that held me in the air too long to boot....and that is how I feel that a 1.30 is possible now.... I also never adjust steering sensitivity no matter what car I run. I keep it darn near cranked all the way up....I think I am in the 90% range and have never touched it since I started getting good... but that is just me, takes a few runs to get used to any car.
That's hilarious! Imagine us playing side by side: Me waving my iPad around like crazy, and you barely moving.
Sorry guys for not getting back to you sooner regarding the Max Upgrade pricing that affected some classes. The A8 team is in the middle of a balancing phase right now which is one of the steps required to prepare the features roll out for the next updates. During this process, some pricing simulations have been erroneously synched with our gold servers I guess this solve the mystery.
While experimenting with my new multiplayer car of choice just now, my favorite thing happened: I encountered a fellow Toucharcadian! BeaArthursGhost and I raced against each other twice, and we both won once. How's that for sportsmanship? Unfortunately, both races were decided by careless mistakes — once I didn't take a ramp right, resulting in me landing on my roof, and once she (?) took a wrong turn. I hope to see you soon again, BeaArthursGhost! Next time, I'll take those ramps extra high.
Thanks, Fabien -- just curious, will those of us who spent millions on upgrades during the "great erroneous server-synch debacle" (which is what we should officially call it) be reimbursed?
