GTR is the only car to use. Like turbo said, triple boost a lot on this map but there are certain times where you must only perfect nitro. That car isnt that good on this game outside of Story mode. In the S class it has the worst acceleration (tied with Pagani Huarya), even when using both boosts. Acceleration on your car is very crucial in multiplayer. Most S class cars arent good online anyway besides Lykan. Dont max it out, you would just be wasting money. For online, there are certain cars that do well when maxed D: Nissan 370z, Cadillac ATS, Mini Cooper/Alfa Romeo C: None B: Citroen Survolt, Ferrari 599xx, Lamborghini Gallado A: Lamborghini Sesto S: Lykan Yeah the nitro is insane. Like 50 mph or something like that. But yeah, the knockouts would be outrageous, left and right especially at start. If i didnt have the higher rank burden, i would definitely try it a few times just for the laughs. I dont think they fully removed it but they are slowly. Im rarely getting nitro boost in multiplayer now, still getting spammed with tuning kits. Right now, i have one Double credits, no nitro starter, and 58 tuning kits. Something is definitely wrong with that. I doesnt matter to me since i have more than enough money. The event was Intermediate D Class Cup
Actually, the maxed-out Audi RS3 is a great multiplayer car. (That is, it was, when we were still allowed to use it.) EDIT: Oh, and you also forgot to mention the ATS for D class.
Ryan, Suggestion: Allow us to temporary downgrade an upgraded car, please? How to implement it: In the car selection screen, tab on the 4 performance bar bring us to a zoomed in view of the bars. In this screen user can adjust each bar between stock minimum and purchased max level. The user than tab an OK button to save it and bring us back to the car selection screen with modified bar highlighted in red. The setting will be used for the next race(s) until user select a different car. Primary use would be for those car specific gate drift stages that is just impossible with a maxed out car. Can also be used to handicap ourselves when racing against friends, lower rank to avoid certain popular car in multi-player, or just experiment.
Here's an incredibly annoying hack -- now the bastards aren't even bothering to race; they just hijack your performance. At least you can still overtake some of the off-the-line cheaters, but what recourse do we have with this baloney? (And just to address the obvious, no, we weren't playing a round of elimination; it was a straight-up classic race, I established a slight lead at the outset which I defended and increased throughout the race, only to be subject to this horsesh*t)...
My mileage did vary, I guess. I've used the RS3 quite a bit in the past, and it worked well for me. It's very similar to the 370Z, which we also used to disagree about, if I remember correctly. (The 370Z is slightly faster, but if it starts behind an RS3 driver who knows what he's doing, winning against it ain't easy.)
Same thing happened to me the other day. Twice within I'd say 5-10 minutes of each other. I made a post about it a few pages back, if any of you Gameloft guys would like to see my screenshots on this issue as well.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'd be interested to see if this type of system could be implemented in the game. So, the team is looking into situations like this where players who get the same time lose points when they are in reality tied for 1st place. They've told me that this shouldn't happen. However, as for the hack, if you see it talked about/linked anywhere online please let me know. All of the links you folks sent me were extremely useful for our anti-hacking team when it comes to doing "reverse engineering" on them and figuring out how to prevent them.
Sorry to hear -- I know it's super annoying Will do, Ryan. Thanks once again, and good luck to the devs with this.
Stats wise, it seems to compete with the 370z. My problem is that a majority of my cars arent maxed so i cant comment on some (most of the D and C cars). So im not even fully sure of EVERY single competitive car, which is something im going to put some time comparing and testing into right now. Im lucky to not have experienced it yet. I hope to never see that.
Good multiplayer matches (when the overpowered cars aren’t in the surrounding rank) Scion FR-S vs Mini Cooper Alfa Romeo vs Renault Clio Renault Clio vs Mini Cooper Nissan 370Z vs Audi RS 3 Dodge Challenger vs Maserati GranTurismo (Only when Survolt is avoided) Maserati GranTurismo vs Bentley Continental GT V8 Ferrari 599xx vs Lamborghini Gallado Aston Martin V12 (1378 rank) vs Dodge Challenger/Maserati GranTurismo (both maxed) BMW M6 vs Cadillac CTS (when Ferrari 599xx, Nissan GT-R is avoided) Lamborghini Gallado vs Marussia B2 (when Ferrari 599xx is avoided) Pagani Zonda R vs Ferrari F12berlinetta (when Lamborghini Sesto is avoided) Lamborghini Sesto vs Ferrari Laferrari (when S class is avoided) Ferrari Laferrari vs Mclaren P1 (when S class is avoided) Ferrari FXX vs Bugatti/Silver Lightning (when Agera, Lykan are avoided) Pretty much, the multiplayer car ranking system would be drastically improved if cars were only matched with cars within 20 points of its rank (better or worst). Then no cars on the game would be overpowered, still some cars would be useless online.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together, Dark. We all appreciate your efforts with this and the tournament time roundup. You're the man!
It's something we're working on. When two people finish with the same time, one person shouldn't be rewarded while the other person is penalized. I know it's frustrating but definitely know it's on our radar!
You're welcome. The competitve spirit in me wants everybody to have a decent chance at multiplayer, no matter the money they have. I just added some more i forgot to add before
High B Cup Nissan GT-R: 0:59:973 – 0:59:678 – 0:59:089 – 0:58:984 – 0:58:956 – 0:58:791 – 0:58:758 – 0:58:722 – 0:58:627 – 0:58:428 – 0:58:363 – 0:58:360 – 0:58:297 – 0:58:259 – 0:58:230 – 0:58:196 Final Placing: 1st
I feel like I could be pretty competitive with the top in tournaments but a lack of credits is keeping me from playing the game how I would like to. I very much enjoy the trill of chasing down that perfect run and push myself to get the best time I think is for me personally possible. I like competing against the clock and the leaderboards. It is a shame I have to do countless hours of grinding in multiplayer or repetitive events without challenge, just so I can start without a disadvantage (max upgrades + boosters active). Lately it requires me to spend hundred of thousands of credits to compete in a one day tournament. Fully upgrading a car you pretty much only use for that tournament and never again, activating both boosters, all for some very small possible winnings (25k for top 250?). I think it is an amazing game, and I very much enjoy most aspects of it, but personally I would like to see a little more fair balance when it comes to this. Make the rewards bigger for getting good times so it is at least worth doing because you gain more than you spend if you are a good driver or make it cheaper to compete so it is more about skill, there are many solutions to make it more fair to players without losing too much revenue As example, the high c-class cup, what I would need to spend to have a fair chance at a good time: - 213.800 credits to fully upgrade a C class car - 15.000 credits for every 2 hours of full nitro booster - 40.000 credits for every 8 hours of performance/handling booster It is requiring me to spend 250.000 - 300.000 credits just to compete for the top times. That's $10-15 in credits just for one single day tournament. The rewards in this tournament? - 2000 credits for finishing the race - 1x class C nitro upgrade (worth the equal of 30.000 credits in a perfect situation) - 25.000 for a top 250 spot 250k investment for a return of 50k-ish, even for the very best drivers? In a best case scenario competing for a top time would cost me about 10 dollars worth of credits or grinding the Season 8 Alps FXX v Bugatti event for 2 to 3 hours non-stop, minimum. That's not even looking at it from the perspective of a more casual player that isn't good enough to get to the top 250/500/1000 in tournaments, it is even more "expensive" for them....
Thanks Ryan! My favorite thing about Gameloft is how they actually listen to player and try to help em out.
First welcome to the forum I understand your post but I must disagree with it to some extent. Most of us who run these events over and over again have a ton of time invested in the game...not only to get to that level.... but to have the credit count to support running them. For some of us.... it has absolutely nothing to do with credits...are cars are already maxed out by grinding away in game..... it is about securing the top spot. I my self am not at the top of time spent in game but I have got to in the top 20% WW I might think. I have logged over 9 days of play and I started in late Dec. So for me if it was changed it would not feel right....however I will loose no sleep over it The faster the car I feel the higher your skill will need to be to rain it in and be perfect, rather than with slower cars. But you will always need to max the given car for any event D or S class and that is just how it rolls. You would not show up to a F1 race and make the same argument? I might add to, if you run most events over and over while you have those boosters on or not... in roughly 50+ runs (that will go quickly) you will usually pay for that upgraded car just in credits earned per race and not including the purse....FYI I like others have spent money in this game as well (since that is the goal of business) and have no problem letting that out either. If this or any other IAP game was in the older days you would drop a small fortune in quarters in to play so at the end of the day I feel these are still cheaper even if you do spend money. As long as you dont loose your mind that is. With this game it is time invested and you dont have to spend anything at all if you have the time. The double credit booster for someone who is willing to sit down and run the time it is active will result in a rapid building of credit account. In the end the game does tend to favor those who spend WAY too much time playing. You will reach a point that credit build no matter what you do, use the advice of those who have wasted a good portion of their life to let you know where to spend credits that you will see the most benefit from and save to run events. Boosters are a staple in multi and events if you want to survive, I hated that once but soon learned it is what it is and now I never run with out them and I play every night. Also most of time I run the events for about an hour and multi player for the other hour of my nitro booster... that way I build back what was spent and even get the booster them selvs back. You will start to stock pile those too if you race multi enough I am sure that someone better versed can weigh in more proficiently than I. Enter RIP and RB Thanks and again welcome aboard
That happen to me too The time is even more ridiculous It's the ultimate cheat in mp, they don't even need to run anymore
