Can somebody please tell me how the Chinese people are getting 1:23 in the Testarossa tournament? Im struggling to get 1:25 right now and they are destroying that
IMO now..... watch Masters video in the post above...he has it I think, but he missed the last blue toward the start, and he waited too long to turn nitro on going up the big hill. If he had done that it had to be 1.23 of some nature or super close to it.
Thank you for posting this. On my first run a few days ago, I was happily in the top 200. As the days wore on, I watched myself fall out of the top 1000. I kept running it and driving myself crazy that I couldn't get back in the top 1000. I see that my early line wasn't optimal. Sitting at 825 now...hoping that'll hold up for a few more hours.
My time improved after watching it, im at 1:25:479. Jumping off the cliff after you hit the last turn on the map to the road below and barrel rolling, to nitro all the way till the finish.
Using the FXX, which isn't too twitchy for Iceland. In the 1:29s. Seems like a clean start is one of the major keys to a decent time...
Oh cool...nice creative line man... I am not running that one... i ran enough to make sure I stayed in the 1000 and that is all for me. I am running the Bugatti....start has a good key but not as much as you would think to get a low 29 anyway. I does to get in the 28's were I am. and to actually contradict RB for a change. I do hate some of these tourny's too and miss the old multi player. But now that they have seemed to fix S class cars I am game for a while to try it.... In this current tourny though it is not a game of drifting to get nitro at all. I am actually not even using much havoc either... but I do get the traffic testing patience and or if it is worth it or not.
At first i was thinking the same thing but i dont like wasting boosts so i tried anyway. I definitely need to figure out a route with the S class cars, i cant seem to reach 1:28 and you're almost a full second ahead of me geez. I think my start is weak but everything else is solid. S cars do seem to be more stable and weirdly easier to control. It took me about 2-3 runs to be good with the FXX which is rare. It takes less time for me to get used to and driving the Bugatti is like driving a D class car its so easy.
Agreed, I ran them not only in the tourny we are talking about, but I ran them in the seasons with those boosters and I could not blow the Lykan to save my life!!! It ran no matter what I did, even on the tracks that I could make it blow every time. So as much as I dont love to run them. I now will since I can at least trust the car. I will say driving the Lykan for me just got a ton better
Oh bummer...here comes the P1 tourny.... means I will have to max her out if I want to have a chance??? Or do I even care What do you all think.....I am not confident that multi player will ever be the same so will it matter in maxing it out? I dont feel that I can really use the car at any rank with out being made into a high A class or S class cannon fodder like RB would say?
Yeah, the nitro management with slower cars is always difficult for me. I dont think i will ever be fully used to it. Its crazy like you said that such a small change can make such a big difference. A few extra havocs can go a long way. May we.... be in an era where the Lykan is actually good? This is crazy to think that the car is good now after the car being bad for so long. I wont get ahead of myself and start using it online though lol. If you want to do good multiplayer wise, dont max it and get less rewards for this tourney. It depends on if you think they'll ever fix multiplayer. The way it looks now, no they wont be but there is still a chance. If you dont care about using the car in multiplayer ever, just max it.
Got to max it for the tourney, man, use up some of those millions in credits. I've got a ton of cars I've used one time for the tourneys and then park them. I basically use two cars 98 percent of MP Citroen and the Mini-Cooper.
Ya I want to have a few more choices to use in multi....I run one of two cars now....Survolt or Lykan....the only llogical choices as far as I see it. I worry though even if I keep the P1 lower I will jsut be maatched against hope so might as well max it for tournament use? Hell i dont know I just might....and might not....I guess I will wait andd see if it is a day or 4 tournament and decide then. On that note I mmust say I am likinng the one day stuff over the 4-5 day things. Gives all of us less time to refine and chase milliseconds. Might be fun to advertise an hour tournament? One hour maybe run twice, for time zone reaasons???
Can you actually race without boosts in multiplayer? Wasting boosts doesn't really seem a clever idea at this point since they're way harder to earn. I'm about done with survolt raving since I get at least 3 dudes maxed and double boosting. Man, multiplayer update is bull.

I agree; am enjoying the 24-hour tourney format and would totally support a 60-minute blitz. After each tourney, I'd also like to see the run of each winner just to answer a few questions. Also, seems like the tourneys help with MP play; just a bit more crisp, can find various lines. And, I know frame rate is much better for China tracks, but I swear, Barcelona and London looked choppy Thursday night. I'll play a little today and then I'm off A8 for a week while we go camping. I'll have a lot of catching up to do on this MB always learn a lot going through it.
It is harder for sure.... I have never run multi player with out booth boosters then and now. That has not changed, if you want to always have the best chance possible then you must run them. It is like being sent to a fight with a choice....machine gun or BB gun.....depending on who shows up you might win with the pee shooter but if you have the machine gun you KNOW at least you should not be out gunned. For me the biggest issue in the current multi player system is the higher player being sent in to a race with cars that heavily out rank theirs. That is only possible to win if those racing truly are ranked correctly. So many people are not due to loss/win point ratios and this new system, along with old hackers taking points away that should not have been. Al though it did not seem to affect the run, it was choppy in the pre race video stuff. I think if they could figure out the logistics of a 60 min event it would be fun as hell Have good time camping!
I agree with 2621 here. I don't think we can strategize the match-ups in multiplayer just yet -- too much apparent variation in ranks with the current algorithm, so we have to work the limits/averages and race with either the survolt or the lykan. So your decision to max out cars for tourneys (at least for now) comes down to this: what number is more important to you and gives you more satisfaction -- the number of credits at the top of the menu screen, or the number that represents your performance in a tourney against a lot of awesome drivers? For me, that elusive top-ten finish is way more important than maintaining a six digit credit reserve.
No there is not, but when a new car gets relased to those who did not win it the next cup to follow has that car as the one needed. P1 released today to everyone else. Agreed, I was wondering from the few that play the rank car game if they thoguht I should or not. Everything I have is maxed but maybe 2 cars and I have the hole garage.... So I will tell based on the duration of the tourny if it is worth it or not for me. I am not worried about 6 digit credit count or any really... I have been stuck in the millions for while and welcome any chance to lower the balance if need be I do wish we could down grade if we wanted to.... then it would be a no brainer I have known this tourny would come. I just dont like the 4 day+ ones.... Thank you
There might not be a surprise with the Lykan, and thats only good news to me. I wonder how that new S car is going fare when it comes to multiplayer. Depending on what class you like, there are certain cars that are very reliable. You already know them though, the pretty obvious ones. The P1 isnt necessary, just depends on if you like the car enough to want to use it online. This isnt all the way true. It depends on how often you win that will determine how often you get streaks. Only use double credit boost when you know you'll use up most of it (have a lot of free time). Nitro and Tuning are more expendable. And yes, the multiplayer update is pretty bad. Like RB said, im slightly scared how Fabien ignored the multiplayer question, almost as if fixing it is out of the question. For me, i have so much money i dont know what to do with it. But, i only max out cars that i dont use online (unless i messed up or the car in maxed form is the best option for me). Money is no problem so i already know the Testa will get maxed out almost instantly (i'll compare to others cars to see if it could be competitive, maybe i can let some people know how to make it useful online)
