Just like I thought, I'm loving the Mclaren. This is definitely one of my favorite cars, I've blown a lot of money racing the tourney. My time for now is 1:09:503 and #1 on the leaderboards but I can definitely improve. This car is so fun to drive. I sat down and used an entire nitro boost on tournaments. I've improved every time by like a second except Sophomore cup. That was fun and challenging.
In for only around 35-45 mins now and I must say......dangit boy.. that is smokin...I thought 10 flat was good... but 9.5 dude you are killing it. I have even practiced this track a bunch in prep.... I would guess it is the same for both of us, but hows your frame rate on this... man mine is kinda choppy....and this darn slug will not turn that last corner to save my life man...LOL.... but dude had to throw props to your time.....That should hold
Well boy...this is won and lost in that last 3 corners as to be expected... but boy that last one is the real doosy....wow she won turn captain... Edit: that last corner has water that for a change is actually acting like water...that is why it is so friken hard to make it cleanly and I mean hard....wow...hats off Dark....man you must have plastered that last corner
The frame rate was decent, sometimes not so much. The frame rate is bad on the last couple turns Yeah, I hit that corner really tight. All you need is a good drift on the first turn and everything else falls into place.
Ah, excellent, that P1 shall be mine. Hopefully Definitely gonna have to give this one the ole college try. Top 1000 is not too bad either, should be possible. I'm also real glad the spoiler is down on it rather than up all the time like in RR3, it just looks better. In saying that, dynamic spoilers would have been great, like NFS Most Wanted. I thought that was a great feature.
Since I'm talking about the tournament, I have a story to tell. If everybody can see ok the leaderboards a guy named Tano. Me and him have a lot of history in the past 2-3 days. In multiplayer, we played about 15+ times. The first time we played, he won the first 5 ( I was having a bad warm up) then I won 4 straight and he stopped searching. Every time after that, it's been back and forward. I thought he was a good driver until yesterday. He started to try knocking me out more and more when he couldn't outrace me, unlike before he didn't didn't knock me out. He lost my respect and now I hate seeing him online. Me and him are in the top 100, he keeps going up. Whenever I see him in a lobby, I just leave. Just like how I'm above him in the tourney, I'm a better racer than him.
I second this. The Huayra with its moving flaps, the LaFerrari and other cars with their active aerodynamics, etc. would be awesome! This should be considered for the next update.
McClaren Dark, your time in the McClaren cup is insane and I doubt if anybody will come close to it. I'm #43 right one and have a second to improve, but not the 2 seconds it would take to catch you. Mad props! And I love the fact that we have real good racers here in this forum. All 3 of my friends on there are in the top 50 already and I'm sure there's more to come. Tano is really good — I remember losing to him a couple of times. And after reading your story, I now hope more than ever that you and me will never meet in multiplayer. I would knock you out if I could and consider it a normal part of Asphalt, the multiplayer game, which is very different from Asphalt, the ghost race/tournament game. But you wouldn't, so there would be bad blood. And who wants that? Anyway, congrats on making it back to the top 100! Did they tone down the matching algorithm's insanity, or do you do most of your multiplayer racing with a Survolt now? (Tano is a downright Survolt expert, if I remember correctly.) As for the P1, meh. Doesn't come in black, doesn't look appealing to me, and $10k is expensive. I think I'll just get this one when they release it for purchasing. It's just my luck that the two cars I'm mostly interested in are released last.
Think I might actually have a shot at winning a car via tournament. Snuck in under the wire with the Senior Cup 100k credits reward (top 400). Think I had about 5-10 minutes left when I finally got in the mix. Picked up the LaFerrari on sale and then double credited my way to fully upgrading it, so I now have the max A Class car. Now I need to figure out what I want to do about B Class and S Class. My Shelby is closing in on fully upgraded...so starting upgrades over with the 599XX isn't super appealing - I just noticed today that they both max out similarly. Should pick up about 430k credits when rewards come in...the question is whether to finally get the freaking Agera I've had my eye on forever or upgrade the Lykan a bunch.
My time in the P1 cup is 1:10:641. I know I can improve it but the fps issue is making it hard so I'll just let my time be
I almost immediately regret my decision to purchase the Agera. Twitchy as hell. Can handle the SL fine, but this thing catches an edge gobs out of the box. Played the HU Monaco race versus the SL. First few tries, I'd catch a split second of air a couple of times per lap and then go careening into the wall. Getting it to Handling 3 seemed to help a little.
I'm amazed at the times you guys achieve. Last night I debuted my own new strategy for getting to first place. Just be the first one there. Victory is sweet, even if it's oh so temporary.
Considered the FPS issues... I'd vote for them tightening up the coding first Yeah, you really have to keep your eyes out. It's a proper lairy beast. I think I'm getting the hang of it though... Just short of the 1K mark on the Singaporean leaderboards (would go for the Malaysian one, but there are no rewards there) for the P1 challenge. I've got a way to fall...
I think it's already been talked, but I just can't find it: how do I compete in global events? Do I have to choose "international" flag in the settings menu? I see you talk about 100k prizes, but I've only achieved 25k prizes in yesterday's tournaments. Thanks.
not connecting whenever i try to play multiplayer give me error Cannot establish connection and for tournament unavaiable data cannot be retrieved . anyone ? what the prob might be ? i am connected to internet and everything else works fine except multiplayer and tournament .
Yes, Tano is good. He beats me eight out of 10. But yes, if you are a threat, he plays the game and takes you out. As for the P1, after spending 200,000 credits for the Challenger, I might steer clear of this. I'm tourneyed out after those last three Spring Breakers. Just can never mind that extra second to make move of a move up the board, and not good enough to find better routes.
Here here... your major obstacle will be improving the very last corner. Dark mentioned that set up the drift into the S's and all falls into place...well as long as you initiate the last drift at the correct time and that is very very hard to do with the frame rate as it is now. Might be a good choice because with a perfect last corner nobody is catching Mr. Dark this time. In the location you are talking about stay to the right just with out hitting that wall and it will go through there every time. Run the center or close to it and that car along with the Sesto will put you in the wall 8 out of 10 times. Hint...If that time you have is in the car with in that screen shoot, you are in the wrong car... that is secrete #1 Run the Audi RS4
