That's really weird, I haven't experienced this in any cars. Are you only getting it on S class cars or what? I think I had a similar style of spin/roll happen on stream. Sometimes if you hit the barrel roll ramps just right, you could end up doing a flat spin and still get credit for a barrel roll along with the flat spin. We hear you. Like Luis and I both mentioned earlier, the team will be monitoring the MP scene to see what tweaks need to be made and determine if this new system is keeping races competitive or if it's affecting things negatively. That's a bummer to hear! While I'm not the biggest NASCAR fan, it'd still be awesome to hear of pro racers testing out A8!
Framerate in China tracks is a bit worse than in the previous tracks. On my 4S, which struggles with this game, the framerate is worse in the Chinese tracks than in the old tracks. I guess it's because it loads more things onto memory than the other tracks. In fact, iOS 7.1 improved my A8 experience overall, so I'm happy with what I have.
The team is aware of these FPS issues and is investigating it. I'll keep you all updated as I get information
Here's hoping that you have old data for comparison purposes. Monitoring current activities won't cover those who stopped playing once they realized they weren't supposed to win anymore. Then again, a few hundred multiplayer enthusiast may be a small price to pay in exchange for giving everbody a shot at the top 100.
@Ryan, @Luis, @GL: please make a season 9 with 4.5-5k prize races in all the tracks. I'm racing the Lykan season 8 Chinese race over and over because that's the prize, but I'd love to race other tracks with the same prize
I guess we could all use a lesson from Master Driver via Twitch. I'm beginning to suspect I have the wrong route. And 1:23 seems downright impossible. (Yea. Once again I couldn't stay away. Might as well exchange those boosters I hoarded for cars. )
I have had it happen mostly in S and A class cars.... once or twice in the cup with Dodge... now S class it happens with boosters in place or not....and not just the Lykan....I have had it happen in the GTA also.....In A class is a little more rare and even more so as you go down in car rating so it would seem. All the above however seem to anyway have to do with pushing the limit of the cars time in that particular event. With that said RB has brought up some good point along with RIP so maybe it is me... but never the less it is much more frequent with these new maps over the old and affect more cars than the old. Me too, same set up ipad 4th and 7.1 IOS... but it is really only on the new tracks from what I can tell. Hats off to you my man... I seem to have the wrong route for sure... cuz my 1.26 flat really felt like the tank was empty and no more to be hard....I seem to stand very corrected...great job. ....after reading several others I would say I might succumb to the event once again myself here later on....
The cool thing about the frame rate issues in the China levels is that I can play one, then go back to the regular levels and it's soooo freaking smooth. Makes driving the Lykan easy lol.
I am now officially faster than Master Driver by 00:00:021. Woohoo! Turns out I was indeed using the wrong route — going up to the temple, the gravel road is good for mid 1:25 times, but the wide road is faster if you roll once on the lower ramp, then again one the plateau.
I've just noticed that in season 8 there are two "The Alps; S-class" classic events. What are the differences between them? They seem to be the same race. Wouldn't it make more sense to have one "The Alps" and one "Tokyo"?
Let's hear some highlights of the route you took/take, brother. I'm in the 1:25s but not going back in until I think of something new to try...
