I know, I know. The problem is me, not you. :p

But I've decided my time is good enough for someone whose least favorite car class in Asphalt is the S class, and by a huge margin, too. So now I hope the F150 cup will involve a rental F150 — that should be fun. Same for the Testarossa. I like the Countach, and since there's a Countach vs. Testarossa race in career mode now, I'm guessing the Testarossa will have similar stats.

The P1, on the other hand, doesn't interest me one bit. It's probably going to be very similar to the Sesto Elemento and the LaFerrari anyway. Or maybe it's faster than them and set up to become an S class killer, in which case my disdain for the S class applies.

That is a solid time good job!

Oh I hear you there...and I am with you on S class....but I will say that if they will make the cars more predictable/reliable I would love them. There are cars in that class I love but unfortunitly in the lottery they stand little chance to win a race.

    Fair enough.
I very much understand the disdain for hackers myself.
In other words I hate them guys a lot:).

Its just they make it so bloody difficult to counter act them effectively and if you have measures in development to counter act them, you can't really show your hand too early as it only gives them a chance to create counter measures of their own.
And it is so easy these days for one guy with programming skills to discover a gap and them post it on the Internet and then suddenly everybody has it.
It also hard to monitor when you have huge numbers in playing which results in a lot of data feeds to go through.

I know I've said it before but it is always a game of cat and mouse and sometimes you'll win, sometimes you'll lose.

I've no expectation that they will ever all be eradicated completely but I'll have to be honest, if there is only three in the top 100 of the current tournament with only a 3 second gap, that is certainly a huge step in the right direction. And if there are as obvious as that, it makes it much easier to go on and ban them. Which is also a good thing.

So ultimately there is a hugely positive in relation to the update. Okay, they are not all gone but they are certainly substantially less than we've experienced and easier to weed out those that are left. They'll come back but the numbers will be much less (hopefully) which will make monitoring the ones that do easier.

Its worth noting thousands of them have gotten banned and the majority that had modified files can't play at all now and will lose all their modded files in the update process.
So a lot of serious steps were taken.

The cases that keep coming up about previous tournaments and 10/20 second gaps aren't relevant anymore because of the changes. Whether they'll come back again or not, well they're like cockroaches and rats, they'll find a way.
As long as we keep reporting them, the team in Barcelona will keep banning them while at the same time determining the hack they used and blocking it on the server side.
That's why the username and type of hack is something of importance I mentioned earlier to you.

Look, ultimately I agree, I'd love to see a hacker free environment (there is thousands of them in RR3 as well and loads of other games on iOS) but unfortunately with jailbreaks and the ease at which mods can be posted and found online, it's an extraordinarily difficult thing to do with 100% effectiveness. We can do our part by reporting as many as possible.

Oh and the team in Bracelona play a lot:) and have some good ole racers.
They love racing and playing the game as much as the rest of us.
They have other ways of determining the best possible times than just racing though and they do use those methods.

But again, your frustration and anger is very understood. I hate em too. I just direct my anger at the hackers themselves while encouraging the team with their strong efforts.

All the best and sorry for the probably rambling reply, it got away from me a bit there but its an important subject.

    Hi! Everyone...

I really don't know if Hackers came from this type of thing...

Thanks for your post Luis I have a couple of points:
The new tracks are great fun, other than framerate issues: Dragon's Den through the esses (shocking) and around the broken road come to mind.
I play a lot: a little pathetically, I might have more more air time than most of the people playing have race time and drift distance is continent scale (OK, the small one).
In common with all racers, what I like most about the game is racing as fast as I consistently can against evenly matched competition. Like everyone else here I choose my car/upgrades carefully to suit.
Nobody likes 'what happened' moments because you have no way of consistently preventing them. That's clearly the problem with being forced to the fastest possible car.
The biggest cheese-off with hackers is being badly outmatched. Vehicle wise, that's now almost everyone I race. The reward for a failure to radically outdrive them is -4 at best and -10 otherwise. In my case, it would take 20 to 40 wins strung together to pick that back up again - never going to happen under current conditions.
I'm not sure what the point of the mismatching system is: My feeling is that if everyone stayed with it, the composition of the ladder wouldn't change much - the max would probably drop over time (quite a long time) to around 1600-1800 with the last 100-200 being very hard to come by.
I'm pretty sure a good proportion of the best / most dedicated players will go and those remaining would suffer chronic road-rage.
You aready have classes - why not use them? If you've got issues filling races quickly enough - change the scoring to Le Mans style.
It seems that you've divided the planet up for the cups - that's OK but I hope that isn't the case for MP - I want to race the MRWs and RBs while they're still about..
Thanks again - I hope you can sort this FIA level FU quickly.

Unfortunately I have no power to delete. Oh well.:)
I would recommend against posting direct links of the type as it can lead to problems:).
Anything of this kind just pm the link on to Ryan and he will pass it on to the team and they'll investigate.

In this case, generally I'm of the view if it quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck and looks like a duck,.... It's probably a duck.
And this has all the attributes of a scam to get money out of people, so obviously avoid like the plague.

I don't know what data is included in the sync for best time but if it's top 10 (top 100?) it should include a ghost - they could follow them around.

And this is when I feel SO lucky!!! I was able to make 14 barrel rolls in a single jump... And not crash when landing!!!! :D luckily enough, I took a screen capture (attached) as proof. I lost the race, but I made 14 barrel rolls in a single jump!!! :D

Are those of you that are playing multi now been able to tell if the game is taking boosters into the algorithm or not?

Did you go onto the ramp at an angle? If you look at a flat spin ramp from a 45° angle, what you see is a barrel roll ramp. (I often do that by accident in Tokyo, and I've landed on my roof more often that I want to admit because of that.)

I don't know for sure, obviously, but my hunch is that it doesn't.

Same as always, I've grabbed the blue bottle on the left and entered the ramp. I was horrified when the car started turning, I thought it would crash, luckily it didn't.

Did the update change the mechanics? It feels like I'm less in control. Cars started behaving weird and wrecking without reason.

The game has done this for a while now... I am not sure how to initiate the roll but I have done that many a time off the big ramp in London....Back when I was not so good I saw a guy able to do it every time and then I started to play with actually finding out how he did. Seems to be random though...I cannot get it done half the time and the other half I can.... turn super hard right before you leave the leading edge? It seems to make it happen alot....But I am not saying that is how it is done.

Edit: On an other note.... Those of you that can stream....Jump in and put up some material that is good..LOL.... I dont know why I keep watching streams...I guess it just fascinates me that we can....But there is rarely anyone worth watching so come on you all :)

I tried a couple of times, but like I said before, my broadcast always breaks down after a few minutes. And no, I don't think my internet connection is to blame.

As for the unintentional barrel rolls, the twitchier cars seem to be much more likely to do that. This is one of the reasons why I've come to dislike the Survolt and the Agera, for instance.

I was genuinely surprised but you two have played this game way more than I did, so I'm taking your word for it. :D

RB I'm still following you just in case. Lol.

So I searched the web a bit, and it looks like an updated hack that does all those things that Asphalt 8 hacks usually do has indeed been in the wild since yesterday morning at the latest. It also seems to be spreading quickly within the hacker/tweaks community.

So brace yourselves everyone, and enjoy the current cup rankings while they last. It's going to get worse quickly. :)

    EDIT:

I can't see the Italian leaderboard, unfortunately. So you posted a faster time? Congrats! Incidentally, I'm down to #2 in Germany — the previous #2 finally got me after trailing me by 00:00:003 for a couple of hours. :D
