And once again, thank you for taking it seriously! I certainly understand that tweaking a system like that with tens of thousands (or more) of regular users is scary and difficult. I also understand that there's no good way to test these changes outside of production, in the real world. And I know that our feedback seems harsh at times. But I hope that it's obvious to you guys that we nag because we love. Also, I guess it was news to Gameloft that S class isn't really where it's at in multiplayer. So: Yay feedback! In the meantime, I'm thinking I'll use my Twitch account (in combination with my not-so-serious Asphalt account on my iPhone) to demo the weaknesses of the new system. I'm sure they knew that already I had a concern that ye would give up without waiting to see the rest of the tweaks they'll do and I didn't want that to happen. I need to see better times to do better myself. Also, I assume its a 5s you're using, did you have any of the frame rate issues on that device that people have mentioned?
Not to mention, the way I learned the better routes, little tricks was by chasing faster/better drivers for as long as I could hang with them. This new MP system, everyone gets a trophy, except the true winner the guy who finished third or fourth with a much slower car. And, with knockdowns, winning is not easy. You might get 10 wins in a row and then have one bad race and lose it all.
Turbo: I know what you're saying with the 90 degree turn, it sure gets glitchy in that area. And yes, I have a habit of hitting nitro before going up and right at landing. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feared I'm a horrible driver.
Nope, sorry. So far, I have run the new version on an iPad mini with retina display and an iPhone 5 non-s, both on iOS 7.1. And Asphalt 8 1.3 is just as smooth on both of them as version 1.2 was.
Ah, okay. Fair enough. I had a couple on first run and a few random ones but it has smoothed out nicely now. Was curious as to the device as its iPhone 5 and iPad 4 myself (although I must get a mini retina, they are a very nice device) and while the 5 worked away fine from the beginning it was the iPad 4 that had the initial drops. Seems to need a bit of bedding in time for some. In saying that its fine for me now but I was curious as to whether it was related to the A7 or the older chips.
Any tip to achieve the 8,000m drift. I tried going circle but still impossible without being disqualified.
Yeah, that is definitely the most annoying single-player race now. It even beats the spinning Countach race. Here's how I did it: Drift all the way, then stop right before the finish, turn around and drift away from the finish until you get the disqualification warning, then drift back to the finish. Also, make sure you brake before any big jumps, so you don't actually jump. You need that distance you'd normally spend air-borne for drifting. I'm guessing this would have been easier with a stock Lykan, rather than a fully upgraded one. @Rip73: It's the last single-player event. Season 8, bottom right.
Ah, okay. Hadn't done it yet so my answer wouldn't have been much good. I must try it later as it seems to be a challenging one.
Oh now ...I appreciat that...I was not trying to be hasty at all I hope you know It is 59.396....Since I cannot see (this bums me out) were are you at now? We have two folks that have posted 58.7's and up...I knew there was a 58 in that but I just could not make it happen last night.
Nope..... it is a hard one to avoid when really pushing the limit of the time trail since you may loose a fraction of a second making sure your down and boostable instead of hitting the RED BUTTON when you are nearly down
My framerate issues on the iPad 4 are back. Even the menu, when paused, is stuttery. What can I do? The hard reset doesn't work and the Wall Cup isn't doable this way. Need to play!!
I want to play Asphalt so bad but i cant because of the multiplayer. I dont want to race ghosts all day, its not as fun as multiplayer was.
The only thing that has helped mine but it is one race at a time. Is to leave the game and close it out and restart it. If you happen to be running the cup for an other example do not restart from with in that race (hope that makes sense) if it was slow it will stay that way. It would get better and worse for me during my stent last night. If I left the game and came back it was best, but never proper. Hope that helps Edit: For Gameloft, I am only having the frame rate issue with in the new maps...I ran the sorry for the delay cup again for a benchmark in my frame rate and it was flawless in frame rate.
Why not trying to compete in the tournament? It's also fun trying your best to cut just 0.1 s from your best lap!
You dont even have to do that. It took me a couple times to do it, just drift as much as you can in any given situation.
